seven
Terry Chimes had already left or was about to leave the group, but he did the drumming on the album. Topper Headon? This album is on my top 10 ever. London calling is also on the list. Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
Yes and Yes! Bad move by Terry Chimes, he's the Pete Best of punk rock drummers! Quote Link to comment

JaiDee
All this Blondie and Elvis and Clash chatter has made me nostalgic for that era, so I will stick with that theme; The band Simple Minds comes from which country? The band The Sugarcubes, which country? The band Big Country; which country? Hint; 3 different places Quote Link to comment
seven
Ireland Iceland Scotland? Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
Lets see if we can slip one by Seven; Where is the band A-Ha from? Quote Link to comment

seven
Lets stay on the 70-80s punk scene. lWho produced Ramones End of the century? Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
Phil Spector? It was their first bad album because of him! Quote Link to comment
seven
Lets see if we can slip one by Seven; Where is the band A-Ha from? I never understood how and why they became so popular. I think they were bigger overseas. Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
One-hit wonders! Quote Link to comment
seven
Phil Spector? It was their first bad album because of him! Yup. I like it, but then i'm a fan of Spectors wall of sound. Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
.....but their first 4 were so much dirtier heh heh Quote Link to comment
seven
Damn, i get nostalgic too now. Better take out the old vinyls. Quote Link to comment
seven
Who was Strummers Mick Jones american girlfriend back in the 80s? She sang on Meatloafs Bat out of hell. Great female singer. Should i stay or should i go was 'inspired' by her. Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
Damn, I knew this one a long time ago.....Patty something, looked great in the Dashboard video Quote Link to comment
pdogg
Rock and Roll Radio certainly has the full on Spector sound. I like that sound, but maybe not the best producer for a raw energy band like Ramones. Got to see them a few times. End of the Century was their top charting album and only reached Number 44. Popular band but couldn't sell records. Quote Link to comment
pdogg
Who was Strummers american girlfriend back in the 80s? She sang on Meatloafs Bat out of hell. Great female singer. I'll guess Karla DeVito Quote Link to comment
seven
Damn, I knew this one a long time ago.....Patty something, looked great in the Dashboard video I'll guess Karla DeVito Tricky question. Karla DeVito toured with Meatloaf and lip-synced on the video, but it was Ellen Foley singing on the original recording. Patty Russo toured with Meat later on. Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
End of the Century was their top charting album and only reached Number 44. Popular band but couldn't sell records. I saw 'em a few times as well, I think they toured more than just about anyone! Well over 3000 dates in their career. It was an acquired taste, something you either loved or hated......I think they had a lot of power and I loved how fast they were! Road to Ruin was a great record, they made End of the Century and Rock 'n' Roll High School after that and by then I had lost interest. Quote Link to comment
