The other one (colourful buildings) was harder, a couple of clues: Some of the natives speak English, some another language. A famous (black) cabaret star hails from the south. Very cool place, and when people ask me how I feel safe driving a motorcycle in places like Thailand or Cambodia or Nepal my reply is always the same; ''once you have driven in Saigon you can drive anywhere."
