The thing with my aunt, like most things, is a mixed bag. I can't really begrudge her too much because she has treated me as if I were her own son. Of all my aunts, she is actually the least religious and is actually, like me, anti-Catholic. It's jus that she worries about ever little stupid thing. Also, appearances are a BIG deal here. I get that you can pretty much be the most vile rat bastard, but as long as you maintain the appearance of bougerious respectability, it's all good.

Anyway, once I'm healed up from the surgery; don't want any stray travesti juice near the incision, I'll be following up on a few hotties I've seen online. The going rate, apparently is 100K pesos for whatever you want. With the dollar around $1800, that's about $55 U.S. Not bad.

I just need to figure out where to find a decent ST hotel for a reasonable price. Around where I am staying, hotels are not cheap. At the equivalent of about $100 U.S., they actually cost more than the girl. Will have to do further research on this side of things.

You need to amortize the cost of the room. When you rent a room it is usually yours for at least 18 hours. You should be able to fit in 3 to 4 STs during that period. Good value all things considered.

Just thought I'd update you guys. I'm all healed up from the recent hernia operation. It went off without a hitch. I'm good as new,100% ok.

Since I'm here,thought I may as well take advantage of the excellent and affordable medical services available. I've had my teeth whitened, had some skin stuff looked at (totally begnine), and I'm having my hearing checked. Playing in a garage band in my 20s, and all those concerts have taken their toll. Also, over 1500 dives over the years have not helped either.

In an ironic twist of fate, I have not hooked up with any travestis since I have been spending some quality time with a local chica. She's a real sweetie, and it's been quite the cultural experience in all kinds of ways.

I have to leave Colombia by August 23. The plan is to head back to Peru. I'll do two or three nights in Lima, then I'll go to Cusco and the Sacred Valley where I will trip around and explore some San Pedro medicine. In mid September I fly to Tarapoto for a 10 day ayahuasca retreat. That will last through early October. After that, the plan is to head to the LOS. I hope to be in the kingdom from early October through the rest of 2012. Not sure where exactly. Prolly spend a bit of time in BKK getting my ladyboy on, then maybe see if I can set a cheap living situation on an island somewhere and just lay around reading, playing guitar and swimming.

I have to go back to the fucking Matrix sometime in early 2013. To sort out some shit and to do some continuing education in order to keep my state interpreter certification valid. After that, I'm pretty sure I'll be heading back to the LOS.

Well, that's the tentative plan. But, as John Lennon said, "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans."

Good to hear you are back on your feel SC, sorry to have led you to the wild part of the tracks in Medellin! It is rough in parts, no question - adrenalin certainly runs through you when scoping out that part of town. When i was there i hadnt experienced the delights and convenience of the lb scene in Asia. If i went back to Colombia i would arrange more dates online but i was so new to the scene i was just keen to see them full stop! It was that buzz of maybe finding them hanging around was what got me going (same applies in Argentina... loads of them in parks and quiet streets)

I do still think my advice for the city of Cali still holds, there are buckets of travestis hanging around a nice leafy area called the zona rosa (much safer than the place near the cathedral in medellin).

Wonder why that does not seem to pertain to most Filipino Catholics? I'd estimate 98% of the Trans Pinays I know are well accepted by their families and have a wide circle of friends combining all 3 genders.

Prolly not gonna be doing any travesti mongering while I'm here in Colombia. As I mentioned, I've hooked up with a local chica. This is very ironic in all kinda of ways. First of all, she is a gg, not at all my "type." She is a curvy white girl, and I tend to favor petite brunettes, and this is the land of gorgeuos petite brunettes. But she is really sweet, treats me well, no head trips, so far, my leaving in late August is not an issue. In fact, I think the fact that it is a short-term deal, with no promises of anything long-term, for the future, has worked to take a lot of the usual relationship pressure off of both of us. Stro, How are most of the Colombianas regarding age difference with the men they date or get involved with relationship wise? Countries like the Dom Rep, it is not a big deal, but it is a relatively poor country I think compared to Colombia. Costa Rica for example has a better economy than many Latin countries so the age difference is considered more there generally speaking than in the Dom Rep. A 50 something yr old man has no problem finding many hot 20 yr old Dominicanas that would be interested in them. In Costa Rica, it is still possible, just not quite as easy. With prostitution being legal for anyone 18+ in Costa Rica, women for nearly every neighboring country will come there to ply their wares. As I wandered through the casino and bar area in the Hotel Del Rey where many of them hang out, when I'd spot some I found extra hot, I'd go over and chat with them and ask them where they were from. Probably 80% of those who really stood out to me looks wise, were from the Dom Rep. Maybe they also just made up a very high pct of the foreign women there anyway.

Just curious if I go to Colombia, would the girls in their 20s as likely give me more than a moment's notice unless they believed I was rich?

It is not at all unusual to see younger women with older guys here. Not sure what kind of luck you would have with girls in their 20s. That would depend on the girl; if she is from a lower working class background, and is in "the game," then of course, you would have no problem. If she is a "nice" girl from a burgiouse family, then your chances are pretty much what they would be in the U.S., that is, pretty much nil, unless you are super good looking and very well-off, have been veted by the family, and your intentions are seen to be pure.

Then there are what are called "pre-pagos," the literal translation is pre-paid. These are nice middle class, educated girls, who are essentially high-end escorts, that you can take out to a nice dinner, a night on the town, then take them back to your hotel room and fuck them silly. I've seen some of these girls, and they are truly stunning. Nothing the least bit trashy about them-class all the way.

That said, I am in my 50s, and I have been getting all kinds of attention from hot babes, some of them in their 20s. I think they dig my accent, so it is not impossible just depends on you, the girl and the context.
