  1. Yeah, I watched that - for once it looks like they have done a half decent job, just wonder how long it will be before the corrupt sunchair vendors claim it as their own and charge tourists to sit on the sand????
  2. Dear Lord, in that second pic, you could bounce coins off those shucks!!!!!!!!
  3. I think that's down the far end of walking street, near the bar Pookie and Tara used to work in?
  4. Nope, totally stumped on that one. A wild guess would be one of the Sabai Massages on second road?
  5. They way Manchester Utd are playing at the minute, I would guess from behind the sofa!!!

    Airline News

Yup, I fully agree with you Arch, in the US or Europe even the most minor problems are deemed serious enough to take a flight out of service until fully repaired. Last year my Emirates flight out of Dublin had a problem with a cargo door, before push back a warning light remained lit in the flight deck saying a door was open. Engineers checked, ensured the door was fully secure and that it was simply a faulty sensor giving a false reading. Pilot refused to take off until the sensor was replaced, even though he was assured there was no threat to the aircraft. Meant a 3 hour delay, always a bit of downer such delays, but in hindsight I am glad we have such stringent pilots/regulations.

    Beer

I like the Tiger Lite. Not as tangy as San Miguel Lite, and goes down easy with not too much hurt next morning** ** Note, when you drink 12 of them, as I did in one session last trip, the above goes out the window. Suffered for about 3 fookin days
  8. Christ on a bike, was that 4 years ago!!!!!! I'll never forget scouring South Pattaya Road at about 8am trying to find a taxi so we could take you to hospital. It was the quietest I have ever seen Pattaya, not a sinner in sight and barely a motorbike taxi or Songtaew to be seen. If it wasn't for the Chinese tour buses, the roads would have been empty.
  9. When do you head off on your travels Bumbledude??
  10. I heard about that also, but it was deemed so far fetched a story, even the sleazy tabloid newspapers wouldn't follow up on it.
  11. The only 2 still there from those photos are Nok and Sindy La Bamba has around 10 girls working at the minute, I'll try to get some photos of the current line up and post them here.
  12. Matteo Darmian indeed - such a high quality player over the past few years I reckon you should get at least £2.55 for that.
  13. That's typical behaviour of the Uber Rich!!! He didn't get his own way showpiecing his new expensive toy, so has thrown his toys out of the pram and having a pop at the people who put other people before personal profit.
  14. Bollox, once you know what you are looking for (I had to Google it as it was wrecking my brains) it is so apparent, and you can't see it for anything else!!!!! Hint, stare at it for a few minutes to let your eyes adjust to the shadows and dark lines.
  15. The Hideaway is one of the few remaining gems in Pattaya these days, IMO. Afternoons relaxing over a coffee or two, and a few pints of Thatchers Cider in the evening. There's a GG working there called Wennie (something like that), who is quite tiny and certainly up in years. But there is something about her that simply oozes sex appeal. I've cracked a few off thinking about her while at home on a bleak winter evening. I reckon she could suck the exhaust pipe off a Lamborghini!!!
  16. I fully concur with Duke and Archie above. The thrill of Pattaya, for me anyway, has long since gone, and I certainly don't feel the blues leaving the place anymore. What has replaced that however, is a refreshing appetite for Samui. Have spent a lot of time there on 2 of my last 3 trips, and loved every minute, Just back yesterday from a 2 week stay in Thailand, which was 9 days Samui (originally supposed to be 6 but stayed on an extra because I enjoyed it so much) and 6 days Pattaya - which was just ok, at best, I guess it is just a sign of getting older, having seen and tasted the really good times, and not so much taking to the ever evolving scene around Pattaya, as mentioned particularly with smartphones etc. Also I barely know anybody on the scene now, so I go on holiday and if I do a tour of the bars, it is highly likely I wont know any of the customers, unless dixoncox is on a rare visit, or Bruce is in town. And maybe, just maybe, it is because I can no longer party hard to the wee small hours, then do it all again the next night. Let's face it, that's really all Pattaya is about - party, drink get laid, repeat. Samui appeals to me more now because it is relaxed, the people are genuinely nicer, even Sindy was shocked at how friendly and helpful the Thai people in Bophut Samui were, and there is so much to do daytimes, that partying at night is rarely on the agenda.
  17. My closest local is £3.85 per pint, but in the general area where I live the average would be around £3.60. I was in Belfast centre on Friday, and was paying £4.60 per pint of Carlsberg. Won't be going back in there any time soon.
  18. Before my last trip, a colleague,(stereotypical shackled male in his late 40's. Married, 3 teenage children, and spend his holidays trapped in a caravan in Portrush) trying to be a smartass, joked " I suppose you are off to visit the wife"? Why the fuck would I have a wife out there, I answered, you can fuck everybody in the entire country for 20 quid a time. He faked a laugh as he trundled off, but it was obvious his mind was in overdrive, thinking "Jammy bastard"
  19. Absolutely, a sad event indeed. No matter who you support, no matter what the football rivalries are, nobody should go to watch their team in action, and not come home. May they RIP.
  20. Second Road, just past the junction with Pattaya Thai going north?
  21. I do wish you well with it Rossco, was just saying I thought I remember you saying last year would be the end of it.
  22. I thought 2016 was going to be the last one????
  23. That's the bar owned by big Ladyboy Patsy. You know, the one who dresses up in full slut wear, or cocktail dresses and stockings with impossibly heels, in the middle of the afternoon ( and the first ladyboy I ever had the pleasure of, back in 2005).I am sure somebody can share a pic or 2. She only works days, so probably wasn't around when this happened. And FWIW, the prices are a bit OTT for a soi 8 beer bar, but no excuse for this kind of reaction.
