  1. The Dynsey Boutique Hotel on Street 172 is the LBR hotel choice for the budget traveller. Rooms are about 20 USD per night in low season. Street 172 is a great location with lots of restaurants and an easy walk to both the Street 136 and Street 51 bar areas. Rooms have laptop sized safes and there is a lift. Some pics and booking info is on our sister site: Dynsey Boutique Hotel
  2. Off peak, my Grab fare from Fields to Clark Airport was just 180 pisos. What is the minimum Grab fare?
  3. The usual baht bus fare is 10 baht for both Thais and farangs. To avoid arguments I advise never talking to the driver before you board the baht bus and paying with 10 baht exact change. After I pay, I usually walk in the opposite direction of where the baht bus is headed. At Pattaya Tai and 2nd Road there is a baht bus queue to Jomtien which moves rather quickly. It's 10 baht to Jomtien. It's 10 baht back from Jomtien. I believe once you pass Pattaya Klang coming from Jomtien it is supposed to be 20 baht. I get off between Pattaaya Tai and Pattaya Klang. Sometimes the baht bus stops it route at Pattaya Tai and I still give 10 baht. But if a baht bus picks up a private fare and goes off route I will ring the buzzergetoff and walk away from the baht bus.
  4. I was looking at the JC International Airlines website researching flights from Phnom Penh to Thailand and this popped up. Thoughts?
  5. Who said this? “As we celebrate LGBT Pride Month and recognize the outstanding contributions LGBT people have made to our great Nation, let us also stand in solidarity with the many LGBT people who live in dozens of countries worldwide that punish, imprison, or even execute individuals on the basis of their sexual orientation”
  6. if you are the type of guy who doesn't mind spending around 70 USD per night (around 2000 Thai baht) then I strongly recommend the Sun and Moon Hotel in Phnom Penh. It's right next to Space Hair Salon on Street 136 and a two minute walk to the ladyboys on Street 136. Great pool, steam, sauna, jacuzzi, and also has a gym. If the price is the same for Single and Double then book Double Occupancy as then there is no joiner fee and your guest can have a free brekkie. But often there is about a 10 USD differential so if you don't have sex everyday then you might want to book Single Occupancy and pay a 10 USD joiner fee when needed.
  7. Marla, a Singaporean ladyboy (whatever happened to her), had an exhibition at the old LaBamba. I reckon that the best bar for an exhibition would be a bar where you have a pre-existing relationship with the owner.

  9. Works for me! I like the natural look and casual clothes. Hairy is a turnoff though.
  10. Nice find Ring Master and welcome to the Forum! The good rates at the airport on on the basement on the property of the Airport Rail Link bit but in the back, u don't have to pay for the Rail link.. There is about a 2 baht per USD on the rates at the Airport Rail Link and the Airport proper. The rail link exchange booths open around 7am and close at about 11pm. About 6 months ago the Rail link rates were as good as it gets but now it's not much different from the TT Exchange kiosks in Pattaya scattered about town, which is not listed on the website. The very best rates are in the main branches of outfits such as Super Rich Thailand and Value Plus which are not in the monger zone. Vasu on Sukhumvit and Soi 9/1 in Bangkok gives excellent rates. http://www.vasuexchange.com/ The booths at the Rail Link still give an exceptional rate when changing baht for US $1 bills. The play for Americans is to bring over new 100's and when going home change baht into 1's at the Rail link.
  11. For about a day and a half it was not possible to post. That problem is fixed. We may not have noticed other problems so if something seems off please let us know.

  14. If you enjoy looking for ladyboys online then there are a few websites that might work for you but it depending what you are looking for some will be better for you than others. I think the 3 main categories are: 1) sites where the objective is a serious relation 2) sites where the objective is hooking up 3) sites where what you want is good video wank Here are our recommendations for the best free sites in each category: Best Free Ladyboy Dating Websites
  15. Here's an excellent movie from 55 years ago. A betting pool on the Preakness is part of the plot. In this year's Preakness, one of the horses threw off the jockey.
  16. Here's a video of wastewater, a nice euphemism for a cocktail of 1 part feces and 2 parts water, being dumped dumped into Na Jomtien Bay, the southern part of Jomtien that the baht busses don't service. Anyone for some wastewater rafting?
  17. Matilda Bar on Street 104 has been sold and the new owner changed the name to Nana Bar. One ladyboy works there and she might be the only ladyboy on Street 104.
  18. Welcome to the forum Ring Master! If you deplane at 3PM you will most probably make the 4PM bus. The Bell reps at the airport have always been quite nice to me. They will only be cuntish if the people who regulate airport transportation require them to be strict about tickets. A fews years back you could buy tickets at the airport but now they are prohibited from doing so. In my experience it is rare for an afternoon Bell Bus from the airport to be full. But here are the official regulations: I suppose when booking the bus you could list a different flight which is scheduled to arrive before 2:30. Depending on where your hotel is located, the Jomtien Bus might be a better option, for example if you were staying at View Talay 6 on 2nd Road. http://airportpattayabus.com With the Jomtien Bus you pay 120 baht at the counter in the airport. These busses are scheduled hourly but in practice they add lots of extra busses due to demand.when you get off the bus in Jomtien you cross the other side of the road and take a baht bus back to Pattaya for 10 baht. This is a good option for people who know Pattaya fairly well but if you haven't been here for 8 years then you might not be sure where to get off.
  19. No booze today, May 18th, until at least midnight.
  20. Island Bar which in the past had the highest ladyboy to customer ratio had no ladyboys when I popped in the other night.
  21. It seems like a major league hassle to buy insurance that will only cover up to 400,000 baht and it would just be easier to self insure and not have to deal with an insurance company. Also interesting is if the consider Medicare valid foreign insurance. It is foreign insurance but it can't be used in Thailand.
  22. A foreigner jumped to his death from the sixth floor of a shopping complex in Chon Buri’s Pattaya City on Thursday afternoon. The man, whose nationality is unknown, was rushed to a nearby hospital though he was declared dead at the scene. Pol Lt-Colonel Pitak Nernsang, an investigator from the Pattaya Police Station, said police learned at 5.30pm that a foreigner aged about 50 had fallen from the sixth floor of Central Pattaya Beach Department store.
  23. These Cubans are awesome! The colors jump out at me!
  24. Wow! Before the camera was invented a model needed to sit for hours as the painted. It seems much easier, especially for the model, for the artist to take lots of pics and then work with the best one.
  25. Was down on Street 104 the other night. Matilda Bar has closed and is renamed Nana Bar. Although many hostess bars have cheap happy hours, Matilda Bar had all night dollar(32 baht) draft beer. The most typical non-happy hour draft price is a buck and half (48 baht). Most typical price for a ladydrink is $3.50 (112 baht).
