  1. Warren Buffet said that the Average Joe today is in many ways better off than a king in Victorian times. Back then, no internet, no AC, no airplanes, no penicillin if you got the Syph. Not even sure if there were bum squirts!
  2. He's the one on the floor looking up the skirts but think he was cropped out of the pic!
  3. Arch, she has a reputation for being an animal in bed! More than one guy has said it was the wildest sex he had in a long time! Get a good night's sleep and take your vitamins!
  4. I hear that the prices are quite reasonable at the Terminal 21 food court. I haven't been there myself though.
  5. A wise move Stoolie! I think the frustration with many expats is that what a guy who works in the Jomtien Immigration office says is often different from what a guy who works at the Nong Khai Immigration office says. Or one guy at Jomtien may say something different than another guy at Jomtien. Or the same guy at an Immigration office may say different things on different days. My experiences with both Jomtien Immigration and Krabi Immigration have both been extremely positive although each pace is quite different. Jomtien is like a busy factory where they are trying to push paper as fast as they can. Krabi is much slower perhaps friendlier but they scrutinize things more. I was not in their computer so they made a phone call to the owner of the hotel where I was staying while I was there. All immigration officers have been quite nice to me. Imagine if your Immigration officer was the Thai equivalent of Woodie! So when you renew in December (technically a 1 Year Extension of Stay) that will be in Nong Khai, right? When you do your 90 day reports you can ask what is required for your 1 year extension of stay. I think one big area for research is the TM 28 and TM 30 stuff which is not a problem for me because it is handled by the office where I live. However, because of new regulations I am reluctant to stay overnight in Bangkok hotel that reports their registered guests. I think someone is going to have to file one of these forms and I believe they are supposed to be done within 24 or 48 hours after arrival.
  6. I'm curious about the exact mechanics of the situation. In Australia did you get a Non Immigrant O-A Visa which is usually is for three months which will be then followed up with a 1 Year Extension of Stay which you get at a Thai Immigration office? This is how I came to Thailand. Btw, if you go to the TV forum, the guys will jump all over you if you use a term such as "renew a retirement visa". You will be lectured that you already have a visa and you are instead applying for a "one year extension of stay". Now maybe you got something a bit different which permits you to stay for a year without an extension of stay. In either case, you will still have to do 90 Day Reports which might be able to be done online. If you leave Thailand before your extension of stay expires then make sure to get a Re-Entry Permit as leaving Thailand invalidates your Extension of Stay. Lastly, there is a form that condos and hotels fill out, but may have to filled out by whoever you are legally renting from or staying with up at the farm. It might be a TM28 or TM 30. These don't apply to my situation as the office does it for me. It's something you probably should research. Btw, the Canberra website is not opening for me, probably combination of my weak wifi and where their server is located.
  7. Never had a problem catching one coming back from TJs be it 1AM, 2AM, 3AM, 4AM. Seems as if they come quicker in Naklua than in Jomtien in the wee hours. If alone, I don't even get on in Naklua as I enjoy the walk the downhill walk to Dolphin with a beer buzz looking to see of there are any interesting girls or ladyboys lurking in the bars. However there is an 85% chance that it will only go as fara as Walking Street so you would have to get on another one at the Jomtien Baht Bus Queue for an additional 10 baht. So most likely it will cost you 20 baht to get back home.
  8. The polling place in Pattaya for the Democrats Abroad primary on March 5th is at Robin Hood Tavern. Below is a video posted by our resident Vlog Connoisseur Duke007 detailing the Max Menu created by Chef Max who has a Michelin Star. You have also hang out and have a few beers which you can't do at a polling station in the USA. Having the primary held at the Robin Hood Tavern is quite symbolic as Bernie plans to take from the feudal barons, oligarchs, insurance companies, and Big Pharma so that Americans don't continue to die as a result of inadequate health insurance and that the redistribution of income from working people to the billionaires which started 40 years ago is reversed. Last year in the Democrats Abroad primary, Bernie carried Pattaya and Thailand and all but just three countries.
  9. Is this Opor's party at Delirious Bar at 18:17 of the video? That would seem to have nothing to do with eating for 100 baht a day unless balloon chasing is part of the equation.
  10. Excellent Soi 13/1 report! Good to see she had a flat head so you had a place to put down your Beer Chang. And be it a Coke can or Chang bottle, it puts her tool size in perspective.
  11. Was the most expensive for me too even though my rent was much lower than it is now. I think that many guys go out to bars much more the first couple years that they are living here. Then many guys get tired of drinking all the time since back home they wouldn't do so. Heed the heads up guys. Luckily, they did not ask for proof of Thai health insurance for me when I did my annual extension of stay. I already have two other insurance plans, one only good in the USA and the other a high deductible international plan excluding the USA. I guess if they required Thai health insurance I could get a low cost plan with a low policy limit to complement my international plan, but I hate filling out claim forms so I would rather self insure for the first 100K baht. Maybe it's just for applying fora visa for first time who need proof of Thai health insurance? Maybe it depends on the consulate where one initially applies? Maybe it depends on the Immigration office where one does their annual one year extension of stay. Congrats Stoolie! Even though I'm very much a loner, I'm not sure if I would want to be the only farang in the village, the village idiot so to speak. Should be quite an interesting experience! Hey, you worked hard all your life so time to enjoy life when you are not busy with farming!
  12. We will perform some tests DC. I did notice that early in the voting that all bars had at least 1 votes and then at some point there were some bars with 0 votes. I had just assumed that someone changed their original votes which is possible given the polling system. I'm curious if you had at some point amended your original votes or if you just voted once and made no changes? That would be helpful in troubleshooting for the future.
  13. The battery for my mouse needed replacement so popped into Mr DIY at the Avenue Mall. Bought a pack of four AA batteries for a grand total of 10 baht.
  14. Having a Rom Cola can right next to her ladytool is very useful so that the pic viewer can get a good idea of her length and girth! Great idea Rom!
  15. Also congrats to 2nd place finisher TJ's Music Bar and 3rd place finisher Delirious Bar!
  16. Hi Oral Anxious, welcome to the forum! It sounds as if one of the Soi 15 condos would be right up your alley. Soi 15 runs between 2nd Road and Soi Buakhao. There is a different Soi 15 near Walking Street. They all have AC, elevators, swimming pools and small gyms. These buildings are all less than 10 years old so the rooms are modern and have kitchen facilities. Every room is a little different but most gave safety boxes; you would have to inquire about the specific room. Walk of shame is minimal and each condo is slightly different. Some have no staff that you would be walking by. Some have a security guard and leaving an ID is optional. These rooms would rent for about 18,000 baht a month plus electric, water, and room cleaning. Electric is highly dependent on how often you use the AC. Water charge is minimal. Cleaning is the big issue. You have to pay if you want your room cleaning and sheets changed. If you are the type of guy who wants fresh sheets everyday then this might not be a good option for you. Condo rentals are supposed to be for a minimum of one month but sometimes I see them online with a daily rate but the daily rate tends to be somewhat expensive. Probably best is to take a monthly rental and you might be able to negotiate a better price if you guarantee them you will be leaving after 3 weeks. Many realtors handle monthly rentals at these condos although some only deal with rentals of 6 months or more. Some of the names of these condos are City Garden, Urban, Avenue Residence, Centara Avenue, and Grand Avenue. Grand Avenue is a recently opened condo project of 6 buildings which is causing a glut of inventory on the Soi 15 market. Here is a link to a realtor that has an user friendly website. Good starting point to search condos. https://www.coastalrealestatepattaya.com/ Hope you enjoy Ladyboy Review. We are a friendly bunch here so please ask if you have questions. When are you coming? More rooms are available as the year progresses.
  17. It is midnight in New York and the poll is now closed. Congrats to Katty Bar! It is a landslide victory!
  18. If going there anyway, one can pay their electric bill in the office by the food court instead of paying the 10 baht service fee at 7/11.
  19. The poll closes today and it appears that Katty Bar has an insurmountable lead over runner up TJ's Music Bar. I suspected that Katty Bar would do well as they have a very strong presence here on Ladyboy Review but am rather surprised how they steamrolled the competition. As it stands now they have more than twice the votes of any other bar and are winning the Jomtien Darby over the Roadhouse 13-nil. The Roadhouse was formerly Sally Bar that many LBR members also liked for it's chilled out environment. For those of you who haven't been there you catch a baht bus from the queue at 2nd Road and Jomtien which moves extremely quickly and get off at Jomtien Beach Road Soi 4 which is shortly after you hit the beach. Get off, pay the driver 10 baht and you are less than a minute away from the Katty Kitten's in a super relaxed, no hassle, chilled out environment.
  20. Didn't go out until after midnight which is my preferred time to go out. Didn't leave the bar until 4AM. TJ's is quite nice at 2AM. The girls are loosened up with booze, don't have to perform, good ratio of girls to punters and it's a lovely atmosphere outside under the stars.
  21. The one in the red top reminds me of Samantha in Sex And The City.
