  1. The Alcazar cabaret show has reopened in Pattaya this weekend, stating they are the first major transgender cabaret show in the country to reopen. Tickets are only two hundred baht, instead of the normal four hundred baht, for everyone for general admission regardless of nationality. There are VIP tickets available with better seating and other benefits for more, however. Shows are every Saturday and Sunday night at 6:30 PM. Alcazar will be operating on this minimum schedule for the next several months and then opening fully when more international tourists are allowed to return to Thailand. https://thepattayanews.com/2020/07/25/alcazar-pattaya-cabaret-show-reopens-with-fifty-percent-off-general-tickets-for-everyone/
  2. I think the woman on the plane should wear a mask because you would think she would want to hide her smug fuck face. So the self righteous cunt made her fookin point and probably got herself on some sort of no fly list. If I was sitting next to her I'd invoke my god given right to continuously pass my gas.
  3. Masks probably protect others to some degree even if small particles can get through a porous mask. Might not be so good for a mask wearer himself especially if one is prone to dropping the mask to their chin.

    Ekkamai

Was up in Bangers for a few days. Covid has thrown me off my routine as I usually take the Jomtien Bus to Swampy and then the rail link into town. This time I had to traverse Ekkamai. Returning to Patts, upon entering the Ekkamai (Eastern) Bus Terminal, I saw lots of Pattaya windows with many Thai guys trying to steer me to windows. I correctly chose the window to which nobody was steering me for the 119 baht big bus. But I'm wondering what kind of transport is being offered by all those other windows? Busses? Vans? I'll be happy when (if) the Jomtien Bus is running again as the Jomty Bus station by Foodland and View Talay 1 is much more convenient for me than the Pattaya North Bus station. Upon my return to the Pattaya Bus station drivers were trying to get me into parked baht busses fro 50 baht. I don't really object too much to 50 baht but I recall in the past that they want money upfront and I don't want to pay and then sit in a parked baht bus for god knows how long. Was a great cloudy day for walking so walked down Pattaya Nua tothe ass end of Terminal 21 where baht busses make a U turn since Dolphin Roundabout doesn't permit traffic to flow from Naklua Road into the roundabout. 10 baht and no stewing on a parked baht bus.
  5. What are Canada's two national sports?
  6. Get out the countdown clock! Being able to reserve a 4 sq meter place on the beach is a great idea!
  7. Some quarantine busses drove by in the video. I guess Pattaya is as good a place as anywhere for quarantine hotels. Robin Hood Tavern has created some premium Thai rum cocktails and of course Max's tasting menu. Then a scroll down LK Metro. Coming up is the one year anniversary of The Ass where one can remotely ring the bell if they so choose.
  8. Superb digs Stoolie! Can you enter the hong nam from directly from the garage in order to clean up after a hard days work in the fields? I see they're adjacent but don't see a door i the building plan.
  9. The state of emergency has been extended until Aug 31. Guys with Thai wives and kids still can't enter the Kingdom even if willing to quarantine. But migrant labor from nearby countries will be permitted. Many Thais are unemployed and would be willing to work at a fair wage but construction site owners prefer to pay Cambodian and Burmese super low wages.

  11. First thing I suggest is to get crystal clear about exactly which hotel you're booking as there are many different Centara hotels some very close to each other. I think the Centara Azure is one hotel on Soi 15 in a 5 building complex that includes 3 Centara Condos and a second hotel named (I think) Centara Avenue which is on the backside and actually closer to Soi Diana/LK Metro than Soi 15.. There are other Centara hotels around town. It gets especially confusing if you book on a third party site because often Chinese condo owners are renting out units in the Condo. I saw one room at the Centara Azure (I think) and it was quite nice but also quite small. I stayed in a Centara Condo room once and also quite nice. If you are staying in the Condo then more than any other hotel/condo, poolside is especially nice. I think the big pool is for just the Azure and the 3 condos while the pool for the Centara Avenue is on the roof. As I said, very confusing. Location is excellent. Actually hard to pick a better location for being close to action but just ever so slightly removed for peace and quiet. Very close to Baby Boom and Sweethearts. Btw, Centara Azure is an easy 3 minute walk from the Neta Hotel that I posted about up a few posts.
  12. My first choice would be Candy #1. Second choice Miran from the Land of the Rising Cock!
  13. Agree 100%. If she hadn't realised that it could have been taken it a sexual context then it wouldn't have been at all funny. But the adorable way that she reacted was priceless!

    Coronavirus

Economics will certainly play a role. Perhaps Thailand will loosen up and let in foreign businessmen who would be buying exports. Would seem to be a much smaller group than the tourists. Even if the political calculus makes Thailand willing to accept more Covid deaths in the economic/public health tradeoff, I do wonder if opening up would eventually lead to a second wave that would force a lockdown and closure of all businesses making open borders counterproductive from an economic standpoint.. I suspect a Shinawatra government would tilt towards economic concerns while the junta would tilt towards public safety.

Effective advertising in the USA. Most Yanks think it's the beer that most Aussies prefer. The tagline, "Fosters, Australian For Beer" is powerful brainwashing. Some guys think the length and girth is a draw but I think most guys prefer cold beer and the oil can size means warm or wasted beer. The only other Aussie brand well known in the States is Jacob's Creek wine.

Given massive unemployment, there is no labor shortage. You would have to pay Thai workers more than Burmese or Cambodians though.

    Coronavirus

94.5% of respondents to a recent opinion poll fear the prospect of the second wave of COVID-19 infections and they want a complete ban on foreign arrivals in Thailand, according to a Suan Dusit Poll. Wow! Somchai Q Public wants to keep out infected falang. Can't say I blame him. I suspect those of you who want to come back to the LOS will be forced to quarantine, perhaps in an expensive state run facility. I think that for the guy who spends 5 months or more here that quarantining isn't a bad option. Once you're out, you're in a country while perhaps not Covid free, has certainly flattened the curve to a point that nobody is dying. Obviously this is a non-starter for a guy on a two or three week holiday.
  18. JSG, are you angling to get on the sign?
  19. I thought bar signs needed to also have the name in Thai even if the script is small.
  20. If I was coming down to Pattaya for a few nights, I'd stay at the Neta Resort. It's on Booking .com and Agoda for 756 baht (642 + 114=756 on Agoda) but there is a sign outside with a walk in rate of just 500 baht. This is normally a 1500 baht a night place, quite nice just off the quiet end of Soi 15 next to the Urban Condo (not the busy end near Buakhao). Pool, gym, lift etc. No contest between Neta and the old walkups around Buakhao. Here's the website so you can see pics and info but the walk in promotion is not on the website. It wont be full so don't worry about a reservation. But you can call 091 761 5335 to verify the 500 baht walk in rate. http://www.netaresortpattaya.com
  21. Wouldn't that be grand!
