I enjoy a stroll in Lumphini. i am certain this is going on WELL after dark. The park is busy during the late afternoon even weekdays. I have never seen a hint of this type of activity. There is a VERY good BBQ right near one of the gates. I think its gate 5 and called the Smoking Pug I think it is. Its good.......

Its not as straightforward as I thought about getting them out. I thought they could just guide them out with Scuba gear but I guess it isnt that simple. They are safe and sound and reasonably healthy. Time is on their side. I really wonder who is in charge and who is calling the shots here......

Used to kick off my jollies in an airport bar but that was many moons ago. used to drink on the plane but that was many moons ago. I just drink less. IMHO its not wise to drink a lot on the plane since the atmosphere is so dry. Alcohol dehydrates you even more and makes you feel crappier as a result. I can NEVER drink enough water on a flight-especially if i am trapped by the window as I dont want to get up every hour or so to go pee. but thats just me.....

I use Super Rich here in bangers, across from Central World. the rates are quite good and the spreads are VERY low. They must make up with it in volume and the do a tremendous volume. I just wonder who is in charge of these places!!!

Yeah made it to that area the two night I was there. I think the place I stayed at was on 172 street. It was a $2 ride south of 136 street but you could walk it in less than 10 minutes!!!! Just curious if you have taken anyone back there, did you have any issues?? great report!

The Ohana looks nice and its in a great location. Thanks for posting the pics. The restaurants right along the river there are a bit pricey for Cambodia. When i went to PP last year, I stayed at a place called The Sundance I think it was. I lucked out and got a huge room and it was like $30 bucks a night. they have cheaper rooms available. Forgot what street it was on but it had loads of cheap restaurants and bars nearby. If you dont mind telling, what did you pay for the Ohana? I am interested to hear you impressions of the nightlife scene!!!

Yeah leave it to PD to sniff out a bargain!!! the ones I get are 100 and they seem to last. I bought a pair on the street for 60 and they seem to be OK. I wonder if thats the guys patch or he will be gone the next time I stroll past that location.......

Since I work and spend much of my time in New York, mongering in Colombia makes a lot more sense. If I were younger and at a different stage of my life, I would definitely head down there. Twenty or thirty years ago, Colombia was certainly a violent no go zone. It was far from a tourist go to area. Things have changed dramatically. Bogota is a on stop 5 hour flight away from New York-quite civilised I must say. Having a very good high school Spanish teacher would really come in handy for a trip down there. After 40 years, my Spanish is still serviceable. I have forgotten/lost a bit of vocabulary but I could function at least 90%. For those of us in North America, a visit to Colombia is a no brainer. There might be popular forums on this part of the world but I am a bit more surprised its not more popular......btw the GGs are freaking gorgeous as well!!!!

Its true that TF and the internet in general has changed the mongering game quite a bit. I also think the reason many of us dont use/fancy the LB bar scene is a product of all of us getting older. Its kind of a been there, done that type of attitude. Part of it as well is that we are much less likely to put up with any type of bullshit pressure in a bar i.e "buy me drink", "you pick lady", or having some dragon ladyboy of a mammsan hovering over you checking to see if you have to order another beer. We all fucking hate that. thats why when you get a well run LB bar where the girls are not busting your balls (in a bad way of course) its great and we appreciate it that much more. My 2 baht and hope this isnt a thread fuck!!!
