Maybe an idea for another thread could be about what's the least you've spent on a night out, and what's the most you've spent on a night out ? guys boasting about high spending = insecure dickheads, my Dads bigger than your Dad syndrome. As I don't drink anymore I recently spent 60 baht on a night out. Sitting in a soi 7 bar with plenty of eye candy I met a mate and his girlfriend so had 2 soda waters over 2 hours and a really good chat, plus the added bonus of flirty smiles to keep my ego in check and confirm that I am hansom man. Very enjoyable few hours and then to bed as I was super tired. It was almost 65 baht as the cashier had changed during soda orders and one charged 30 baht and the other 35 baht..... Bloody bill padders, be careful out there guys haha. The most I've spent on a night out..... Well my Dads not the biggest Dad I know.

I agree about the traffic situation in Pattaya and have driven there many times. I usually park up and rent a bike to get about easily. If I were to have an accident it would be a nightmare and always my fault Who ever caused it, being a farang here. Having driven in many Thai towns and also Bangkok I do find the truck / cars drivers curtious and cautious but it's the bike / scooter people that have no regard or brains. I also think a lot of ex pats on bikes get a bad attitude after a while here and forget they have taken a REAL bike test. The main problem is obvious as there is no test, car or bike to speak of and Thai thinking of no accountability. Also theres too many people in the world and more on their way and they all want a vehicle ( but that's a whole different subject)

I love waking up to warm weather 99% of the time. I love having good food available 24/7 I love being able to stop working by living here I love the lack of silly laws and restrictions I love being able to travel easily and cheaply in an open top Jeep I love being able to have sex past 40 with attractive people, and not 2 divorces, 4 kids and a resemblance to some obscure farmyard animal I love ladyboys that are basically horny young men willing to smoke banana at the drop of a hat I could go on, phew I need a sit down

The great thing about living here BB is that celebrating like that can be any night not just NYE. Personally I think Xmas and new year is pretty much a commercial over populated mess and avoid it. A recent trip to Patts for 3 nights saw me avoid nearly every Lb bar in town, a bit fed up with the lady drink , bar fine buy my friend drink cobblers. Wondered around a lot though ( sober) and enjoyed the hussle and bussle of Pattaya. Always do. Sat in mouth moy bar for an hour or so once and loved it at 1am and was happy to buy 6 Lb's a bottle of Whiskey my 'new friend' some shots and me 2 red's all for 500 baht. She even had a motsi to take me home Sorry a little off topic so I guess its all LB bars really as the internet is great for Thai friendly and getting hot opponents at all hours of the day and night.

I too used to like a rumage around BKK and enjoyed Nana, Guess and a few other places, but traffic, Nigerians, Hotel prices and quoted prices from the girls stopped any plans to visit again. Just not enjoyable for the out lay. Now Pattaya has it's faults but I like the freedom to roam and scooter about easily having so many options of where to go. I dont drink so the scooter is perfect. The shear volume of talent there about is staggering and priced right too
