  1. Bugger! I missed out on a card by 6 days! Have to get Jiet to hold one for me. And maybe L K Hotel would be an option for a place to stay as well. I think the business card is a great idea and I wish ZAZA Massage all the best.
  2. I would take Jiet every time, thank you. I know sometimes repeats don't live up to the first time, but I feel second time would be even better. The Inn is fine. My room had a balcony overlooking soi Chaiyapoon (where Jiet went for a smoke a few times), cost 690 baht. Not hi-so by any means, and no lift (elevator) so the 4th floor tested me out on the stairs, but included a safe, tv aircon, and is good for a short stay.and 2 doors from Zaza; plenty of motorbike taxis too.
  3. Well I made the long trip from up-country (6 hours on the bus to Bkk, then 2+ hours to Patts) to see Jiet for myself. This was one time when things worked out. She is tall, silicone free and lovely. I'm old and not naive - of course money changed hands, but she seemed to really want me to enjoy my time, and I did. She stayed the night and even took me to the bus station in the morning. I'll save up my cents (baht) and my energy and call again! Btw, Zaza is clean, well looked after by Dao and I think good for a massage, but for me other activities were more suited to my room (Chaiyapoon Inn is 2 doors down). And Dao is very friendly too, but I can't say enough about Jiet..
  4. Without being in this position, I'd like to think I'd say thank you. Being angry after the event I can understand, but would achieve nothing. But I think I'd still be worried as hell. An interesting topic.
  5. I think this statement from TAT is quite sensible - realistic and yet still sensitive for the huge loss suffered by the Thai people. I hope visitors will be sensible too. In Phitsanulok just now the mood is very sombre and the normal noise level where I live (a farming community) has been replaced by an almost eerie quiet, and the local temples are busy yet subdued.
  6. As Roy and HG often said ".. when too much sport is barely enough .."; well I'll just have to make the trip down now!!! Thanks SP for the latest pics.
  7. I'm sure a copy of the painting used to be on the wall of my father's house (pic#2). I never saw anyone like the lovely lass though, but maybe there was more going on than I knew ..... . Whatever, great pics!
  8. Thanks SP for that. Does it mean I get 2 pairs of hands? I'm quite partial to her.
  9. Great reporting SP. The place sounds well worth a visit, and Dit can put her hands on me anytime.
  10. This would have to be one of my favourite posts. But back to the topic - cost? I buy one and put it in my spare phone and leave it at home; I don't use a phone; I use a Thai friend's phone; etc etc. Have they really thought it through? And if I don't have a smart phone? (and I don't) will they give me one? And will the people whom they are targeting comply with the rules? Another negative for tourism.
  11. Yes indeed. Very well put IMHO. The "sexual buffet table" is just that, a smorgasbord that allows you to choose what you like ... today, or any day that ends with a y.
  12. Thanks M1954. He may or may not remember me, but I found him to be a very friendly bloke who introduced me to others in the bar, sold me a Darkside polo shirt (no pressure, and which I still wear), and we chatted about this and that as if we'd been long time friends. Given the opportunity I would wish him well. I think of him, and the DS, often
  13. Yes, not a happy anniversary at all. So I'm wondering if anyone has news of Chris' health, please? I met him a few times and always enjoyed his company, as I always enjoyed Darkside.
  14. Head in the sand - the Tourism Minister says people don't come here for sex - but she does not have any details to back this up, as far as what percentage of tourists come for what reasons; only the flat statement that they come "...for our beautiful culture ..". I enjoy living here, mostly, but there are many things that need sorting out if she wants "quality tourism". Immigration office rules and regulations, corruption, jockeys pulling up horses at the races, more corruption. I've drifted off topic a bit, but really she and the government would need to do a huge amount of work to make her dream happen, and by then I will have gone to the big ladyboy massage salon in the sky.
  15. Yes indeed, duke007; and obviously "Dan" from the "revelations of Aussie ... etc" didn't get there in time.
  16. I smile a lot too; and it's often not my tongue in my cheek. well said duke007. I should've just left that bit out. at least the upcoming season should be better for Man U, eh?
  17. Being an Australian, the title caught my eye, and I have read and re-read the post. Interesting, yes; but there is more than 1 side to a story, and "Dan" is telling it as he sees it. I'm sure there are blokes who come here as he describes them, but just what percentage, who knows? And the girls he is saving; just how many? And I know many girls (mainly our girls) who seem to be happy with their life. And I am relatively happy with mine. I'd be interested in other views on the subject.
  18. Thanks Rx, for posting this. A very interesting look at lives away from the p4p scene. How difficult it must be for many who are not accepted (or worse, who are openly abused).
  19. There's an ANZAC message paraphrased there, KenW, which made me smile. And so true. I'm 32 on the inside, but on the outside ..... some days I'm too weary to count. And that's the thing for me. Not so much the loss of edge; rather the loss of power.

    Razors

Well I'm absolutely stunned by all this. I just buy the Gillette Vector blades (twin blade, 2 in a pack) from Tesco Lotus as and when needed. Mostly shave in cold water and have done for years. I need to shave every day, and have never had a problem. Having said that, I probably don't end up as a "hansum man", but it seems to work out okay.
  21. One night at Darkside, Chris introduced me to a couple of BMs and they were friendly to me, being new on the scene then. I met one of them on a later evening (sadly he doesn't seem to post much these days), and he was just as friendly as before. Maybe the bar atmosphere attracted the friendlier guys. I'm pretty much a loner anyway, so snobbery doesn't matter so much to me.
  22. Thank you, SP, for your kind words. I must say that I've enjoyed the times we've spent talking about anything and everything. I hope we can meet up again on your future trips to LOS. And this is the way I like it too - its being with people I like that matters, and enjoying life.
  23. I'm living in what I call a farming area about 35 km out of the main city. The city centre, from what I've seen (haven't been here very long) is very congested for traffic - many narrow streets and crazy drivers and so many motorbikes. But yes, many temples and the dragon-boat races on the river were great. I was here for Songkran a few years ago, and if you go into the city then (April 13 to 15 this year) it is very much alive. And some great scenery and places of interest nearby. Depending on what you're after, and how much time you had, it's worth a look, but the night-life is not Pattaya or Bkk. But having said that, there's still action, and TF has many of ours in the district too.
  24. Lucky you SP. Up here in Phitsanulok its 14 degrees C and raining. Feels like Tasmania when I was back there.Half expecting snow, and people on motorbikes are often wearing blankets or towels over their clothes to keep warm.
  25. There's short hair (styled) and then really short hair (too much like a boy, for me anyway), and as SP said, on the right girl, short hair can be sexy. But for me, most times, long dark hair is a winner.
