  1. Happy Lunar New Year to everybody. If like me you are celebrating foodily & drinkily, you will most likely be enjoying the way I am. New Year's day started with (leftover) Australian lamb and avocado sandwich (dusted with pepper, having been grilled with garlic last evening) with orange juice and chilled nectarine to finish. Lunch was a delicious VNese dish named (in phonetic spelling) hooo wah. It is spicy minced pork stuffed into gutted bitter melons, which are then boiled in their own broth with chopped green onion, and served with steamed rice & fish sauce dip. Chilled fresh rockmelon & dark grapes complete the feast. Later in the afternoon & tonight, Australian cabernet sauvignon by the bottleload. Ah, another year older & deeper in debt...
  2. Not that many of you guys would notice but there's a touch of serious feline African fingernails there that could castrate you in a second or two.
  3. That's helpful pacman, thanks. Marty Natelagawa is a highly intelligent & articulate minister. I think part of what he is doing at the moment (apart from doing his job well and professionally) is creating a bit higher profile for himself domestically, in order to be seen as necessary in the FM role for whoever is incoming President. I wish him well. Australia, the region and the world need politicians like MN.
  4. Interesting and concerning. As a numbskull on economics I fail to understand however, the links she is making between Bernanke's acts and Asian outcomes. I also cannot possibly see all the countries he mentions as turning to streets and guns as the spoilt Thai brats and government thugs have. Indonesia elects a new President this year, so my guess is that no American or other investor knows what that will mean (but I bet they're doing their research on candidates & policies as I speak). Malaysians these decades don't tend to shoot each other the way Thais do, so the Malay-first dogma will prevail until it is voted out democratically, most likely. Which may not be many elections away. Vietnam may be borrowed & in debt to the hilt, but its government will not weaken. Leadership may be poor, but it is strong. While the Vietnamese don't shoot their citizens, only a very few criminals possess serious weapons, and people are too wise to take to the streets. The article also completely bypasses the burgeoning middle classes in all these countries which will tend to keep all but Thailand more stable than the author is apparently willing to consider. In the south of Vietnam where I live, while the majority loathe the communists in power, they love the economic consequences. Change is not yearned simply for change's sake, as it appears in Thailand.

    Phnom Penh update

They move around so much don't they. And things change so fast in the capital.

    Phnom Penh update

Maybe a bit of confusion here pdogg. LyLy is the little blonde one if we're thinking of same gal. Often seen in 104 St. Also often seen on the quay (which is where dixon & I met her and mate chubby back then.) Amazingly, I don't have a pic of her. Lilly from Ben's Bar back then is here:

    Phnom Penh update

xyzzy was one of the Ben's Bar LBs Lilly by any chance? She used to work there (in fact that's where I met her, back in 2011 or 12).
  8. Yeh, there she looks female; and not so young either.
  9. For one thing with my skinny boney fat bellied torso, I would not be seen outside my house in a T shirt or singlet or any other form of scanty body hugging top garment. For seconds, while I do laugh sometimes at good messages, I think most message T shirts are dull & silly, especially the "I Love ..." kind. For thirds, I take your point bb. In Australia there is a strong negative feeling about "Thai brides" as they call them, Thai bar girls, and Thailand in general (seen very much as "the brothel of Asia"). [Yes, mainstream Australians are a somewhat precious holier-than-thou bunch, that's correct.] Fourth: in Vietnam where I live, Thailand is the arch soccer enemy; the 2 countries often clashing in Asia Cup, etc., finals. So there's no love for Thailand here and it would not be wise for furreners to wear any form of love Thailand message.
  10. Yes, she is/was lovely to look at. Maybe "super gorgeous" and "most passable". But for a man of my type sans cock removes all attraction I could ever have for someone. I have no interest whatsoever in a LB being passable. If she passes, ie people think she's a girl, I may as well have a girl, an ordinary girl. I want someone on my arm who is clearly, and everybody knows is clearly, different. Just my weirdness, I guess.
  11. Fawlty Towers my all time favourite. The original (4?) series of Monty Python. The Frost Report. The Telegoons. (Old Goons radio scripts with puppets playing roles). The Bugs Bunny Show. Laurel & Hardy (half hour series of clips & sketches in ancient B&W). The Honeymooners (Jackie Gleason, Art Carney, et al.) Hancock's Half Hour (with Tony Hancock, Sid James). Get Smart. The Auntie Jack Show (especially for Aussies; made in Aus). The Norman Gunston Show (ditto).
  12. Sounds like you're hanging out at Wan Café a bit too much bb. The behaviour you describe (totally normal) is sooo Sunee.
  13. The one walking with back to camera? Looks like the build of a LB.
  14. I think the one in the shades is a guy (unless bloody well disguised). Who else has shades on?
  15. We are all so used to hearing about big cocks and bolt ons and all that sort of stuff. OK, whatever does it for you; far be it for me to disavow anyone's personal preferences. But I have been thinking a bit lately about the small things, the delicacies, the nuances, that do it for me. Maybe it's got to do with how little sex I have had in 2013. The kinda thing the mind turns to. For example the thing that turns me on most, the thing that I have been missing most this past calendar year, is the rasp of stubble. To brush cheek upon cheek and feel it, last shaved yesterday or even this morning, hid by makeup, or to rub my chin against a chin with a 5 o'clock shadow, or best of all to run my nose along an upper lip, feeling the sandpaper there. Shit that turns me on. It's like my brain, in company with this gorgeous LB, this lovely gal with extras, whose cock I'm about to suck, who I'm about to fuck the arse of, says: boy! Yes, boy, dress & bra and dolloped face & all, boy, with raspy stubble cheek chin upper lip. Love it! My fetish. Care to tell yours?
  16. Very good azza; go to the top of the class.
  17. Now, here's another one. This one is not fuzzy, has one clear answer which when found, reveals a pattern and method of attaining it, of great beauty. 120, 60, 80, 90, _ Enjoy.

    Vietnam LBs

A brief comment that for me 2013 was probably my quietest adult year for sex and sexuality. I cannot say why. I went out as much or little as other years. I wasn't watching my pennies especially. I drank as much as usual. Not one LB or anyone else came home to my house. I sucked one boy cock (met in Sunee of course) in Pattaya after GOTC III and that turned out to be my quota for the year. Goodness. I am hoping for a more fruitful 2014. PS of little general interest: for one who doesn't post overly much, this marks 1,000 posts for me on LBR. An achievement. It is perhaps fitting that I do so in this thread, which after all is the one closest to accounting my 10 years of residence in Asia.
  19. I'm surprised only 1 African country made it into top 3.
  20. My eyes & brain first hit on 16. But I can see the 5n-1 rule too; implies 14. Jai Dee's method for an answer of 14 breaks logic demands, as we have no rule that says RHS must add 5 each time, only a precedent that it happened once. It could as well be RHS 5 first time, 6 second time, etc. Or indeed any other number second time, such as 7, giving 16. But another way to get 14 as answer is to take the LHS literally as sums, and consider how we get RHS answer. So three RHSs are 22 - 18 = 4; 24 - 15 = 9; so 26 - 12 must be 14. But this has the same flaw as Jai Dee's of assuming a consistent subtraction pattern 18, 15, 12 based on only the first one. I don't know. I think this is one of those puzzles that has no definite answer given the info we've been provided. Various answers possible.
  21. I note the solstices every year Sam, marking which part of the city skyline the sun sets behind. To do this I stand on my roof deck in the same spot every time (where axes emanating from my water tap and bar fridge door handle meet in a right angle). But I don't have to cop the temperatures of more northern latitudes. Here in Saigon it runs from around 24C to about 30 C throughout December.
  22. Yeh, another one: the VNese slang for cunt is chim, which literally means bird. But you know how it is, we all call folks we don't appreciate so much: cunt! Well, this expat I know was busy doing this, calling all and sundry cunts, which drove his GG girlfriend to ask: what's cunt? When he told her the literal meaning, surprised that she'd want to know, she fell all over the place laughing. She was beside herself that we weird Westerners would keep as the ultimate insult for another bloke, the word for her genitals. And a bird at that.
  23. Lovely Lefty, lovely. Fine xmas humour. Reminds me of the "I'm not gay" threads that disgustingly littered Pattaya LBs site back in the day. Those dickheads, they couldn't even keep it to one thread. It was like as if every new guy who came onto the site had to start a thread of his own absolving himself of all the implications of these faggot LBs whose cocks he couldn't wait to suck. And reminds me also of the snooks I cocked at all that, which got me kicked out of that place. Remember that Lung?
  24. This is slightly tangential but funny nevertheless. Vietnamese rarely know the word cremate in English (though of course they have such a VNese term: thieu). Recently talking to some of them about what were the plans for the corpse and they answered me in English: barbecue!
  25. Good to hear you had a recent trip Tel. Sorry I wasn't in town to partake. Especially at Ken & Tel's with the carafes. I miss that; and yourself as well.
