Unless they have accommodation and food provided by the bar they work at, the best option might be to return to live with family. But they will have to do that before the State of Emergency is declared on Thursday. But that might spread the virus to other areas.

State of Emergency to be declared on Thursday, including a 'request' not to return home, and fines for non-compliance if violating quarantine or self isolation. Nothing about imprisonment, though I guess if people are found to have symptoms of coronavirus they are likely to be put into quarantine for 14 days, which could be interpreted as imprisonment.

It is likely to be. There aren't going to be many customers even if they were allowed to open.

It's getting more serious here in uk. We are supposed to be about 2 weeks behind Italy. Letters and emails are being sent out to over 70s and people with underlying chronic illnesses, 1.5 million people. telling them to stay indoors for the next 12 weeks and they will be sent food parcels. I've just ordered face mask. I know most of them are pretty useful in protecting the wearer, but might help to stop wearer spreading the virus. I've ordered a 3M mask which is the one doctors are wearing in hospitals where they can get them. I'll probably order some latex gloves too.
