  1. I'll take a guess - Liberty Vallance? I don't know who he was or that album but I know there was a song 'the Man who shot Liberty Vallance'.
  2. I might give it a go. But a BM on the Pattaya Addicts forum, who is Indian, has posted that he was refused entry although being allowed in and having spent a lot in there on previous visits in 2016 and 2019.
  3. bbg didn't say the gunslinger wasn't a good guy.
  4. Yes. I didn't really speak to him much, a bit quiet but nothing strange about him except that he had been a policeman at the local police station for a while. It would have been about 1975, before he started killing.
  5. I just finished Dahmer. 10 part series on Netflix about gay serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. I didn't think I was going to get into it after first episode, but did. It is No 1 on Netflix series ratings. I have actually met a gay serial killer, Dennis Nilsen, who used to live near me.

  7. Obviously no astronomers or Greek speakers on here. The answer is Sirius, also known as Alpha Canis Majoris or the Dog Star. 8.611 light years from Earth.
  8. Interview with transgender Afghan refugees in Germany (none of them have beards bbg). https://www.interzine.org/2021/08/29/nobody-knew-we-existed-lgbtq-voices-from-afghanistan/
  9. Not that I know. There are trillions of them out there so maybe one somewhere.
  10. Venus is the brightest celestial body in the night sky apart from the moon, but it is a planet not a star.
  11. That is the closest star system to Earth, but not the brightest. Not the North Star (Polaris). A clue is that it is part of a big dog constellation, and it's Greek name means glowing or scorching.
  12. What is the name of the brightest star in the night sky?
  13. Good choice! Kendy is too! Thanks for the report @Loverboy25, keep it coming!
  14. Just as well for me that won't be happening in the near future! Thanks for the Trip Report Rom! An interesting and useful read.
  15. Soviet Union (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) around 27 million killed.
