    I always notice that some usually older English guys speak in a higher pitched nasal tones when speaking to Thai ggs. Guys talking to ladyboys don't do that. Perhaps they think they sound more Thai and the Thai ggs will understand them better. The Thai ggs understand normal spoken English just as well. It seems rather rude and condescending to me, and as if they have sinus problem.

    At least it's digital (just about!). I expect yours uses a smoked glass plate and you have to cover your head with a dark cloth to view the image! The Kodak (they went bankrupt years ago) resurrected itself from the dead today and I managed to upload the pics eventually:

    She was wearing a short black skirt with black shorts underneath earlier. Looked sort of like a cross between a Japanese anime school uniform and a maids uniform. She discarded the skirt and shorts not long after you guys arrived. I had taken some pics of her earlier but my camera seems to be dead at the moment. If I can get it going I'll post the pics.

    In the DW documentary people in Appalachia, one of the poorest regions of US, are being evicted and can't afford healthcare. But they voted 80% for Trump, and say they will again.

    Certainly things are better in US and generally across the world. Mankind does progress economically and scientifically or we would all still be living in caves. But even in the US, the wealthiest country in the world 40 million people live below the poverty line receiving welfare and food stamps. I was just watching this German documentary this morning. Worth watching if you have the time. When I post youtube/videos on here they generally don't work but you can google it.

    I arrived in Jomtien on Wednesday. I have been in Katty Bar Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday night (TJs on Friday night). I haven't posted any photos on last few trips as I don't have a smartphone. I have a cheap 10 year old Kodak compact which I haven't used for a couple of years. Also I didn't think I'd be able to upload photos to my newish Chromebook laptop. But I did charge the camera up on the day before I left. I connected it to my Chromebook, and to my surprise it automatically uploaded the images on it, so I brought it with me. I took a couple of pics in Katty Bar on Thursday night, and have been trying to upload them without success. But just now the camera did connect and I managed to upload one picture before the camera shut down again. I think it is well and truly knackered. But here is the one photo that did upload. If I manage to upload the other two I will post them. Teya, Mai and Tiger:

    I walked down to the Dolphin Roundabout and waited a couple of hundred yards down towards Pattaya. But all the baht buses were empty and travelling fast and not stopping for me. There were a lot of them. The first one that did stop asked for 200 bt to take me to Jomtien. I had thought he was doing the 10bt passenger thing, so I declined. Another stopped a few minutes later, he wanted 300 bt so I declined again. The third one, after I had stood there 15 minutes, asked me how much I would pay so I offered 200 bt and he took me back. It's ok, I didn't want to take a bike taxi after a few beers, and a regular taxi is 300 bt I'm told. Next time I go to TJs I might leave earlier. Even with the baht bus cost, a few beers, and tips in TJs it came to less than 1000 baht for an enjoyable evening.

    No problem. I got there at 9.15. I thought the small table with 2 chairs to right of stage was the one you meant so I sat there. Em did come to tell me that I could stay there for now but it was booked and I would need to move when they arrived. I tried to explain that it was for Dave/bumblebee (I didn't know if she knew your forum name) who would be taking photos - I mimed using a camera, and I was you friend, but I don't think she understood. She should probably put a note on reserved tables with the person's name on it. I did look out for you among the guys taking pictures but didn't spot you. I guessed the lady with the big camera was Sonya. Anyway it was a good night, and now I know how to get there on baht bus (I did get one all the way to Dolphin Roundabout). I hired a baht bus for 200 bt to take me back to Jomtienas there didn't seem to be any of the 10bt passenger ones running at 1am.
