  3. IUC Exclusive: The Duke was The Queen Of Hollywood Posted on February 13th, 2009 by HisHighness in IUC:Entertainment, IUC:Exclusive, IUC:Gay In honor of Valentine’s Day, the first photo I have removed from my montage is none other than the Duke himself, who, according to the source who outed him, was “queer as a two-headed trout.” I first came across the news that Wayne was light in the spurs when I was staying at a kitschy old out-of-the-way hotel in the Valley called the Sportsmen’s Lodge. I got to chatting with a long-time hotel employee who began dishing dirt about some of the famous people he had come across during his long tenure there. His favorite, he said, was Bogie who used to tip him with a $50 bill and a Cuban cigar. His next anecdote threw me for a loop, however. “John Wayne used to come here all the time,” he recalled. “He was a pansy, you know.” In a million years, I would have never guessed that John Wayne, that lovable redneck, was gay. But my source told me “most of those cowboys were.” “He used to come by in the afternoon with men to go fishing in the pond and then they’d take a room and he’d say he was in ‘conference’ and that he shouldn’t be disturbed. We all knew what that meant and one of the chambermaids told us that she once caught him getting a blowjob from a guy. But unlike some of the other stars who came by with men, Wayne didn’t like them too young. His friends were usually in their twenties or even older, but none of them were famous, at least not the ones he would rent a room with.” .

  6. The modern Commonwealth of Nations is home to some of the most homophobic countries in the world. By staying a member, is Australia condoning these discriminatory laws? Barely six months ago, international anger and calls for a boycott of the Winter Olympics in Russia drew nearly as much news coverage as the games’ sporting achievements. And as the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow get under way, it is worth remembering that although Scotland has nothing to match Russia’s gay propaganda laws, the modern Commonwealth of Nations is home to some of the most homophobic countries in the world. In 42 of the 53 Commonwealth countries, it is a crime to be gay. That means that four out of every five countries competing in the Commonwealth Games still criminalise consensual homosexual sex. How should Australia respond to a sporting event where the majority of countries competing can jail, if not kill, gay people? Boycotts of sporting events for breaches of human rights or international law are not unheard of. We saw them during the apartheid regime in South Africa and again at the 1980s Olympics in Moscow. But such action is generally not popular since it punishes the athletes, rather than the politicians responsible for the human rights violations. Scottish cyclist and world record holder, Graham Obree, called for a ban on Ugandan politicians attending the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, rather than a boycott. However, Obree’s efforts have fallen on deaf ears, since the Scottish government’s response was to state that “Scotland will welcome all visitors to Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games in 2014”. As one of the few Commonwealth countries to support lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) rights, we need to ask some hard question: as it no longer reflect our values should Australia continue to be part of this organisation? The Commonwealth was formed in 1949 and recently sought to modernise itself with a new charter. This was designed to move it from being a collection of nations that shared a common history of having once been part of the British empire, to a gathering of likeminded countries with "shared values and principles and by concern for the vulnerable". The 2013 charter explicitly states that members are committed to equality, non-discrimination and respect for human rights. This flies in the face of the treatment of LGBT persons in many parts of the Commonwealth. It is not the only human rights issue of concern. More than half the Commonwealth countries retain the death penalty including, in some cases, for juveniles: a clear breach of international human rights law. In Australia, we cannot claim a perfect record when it comes to human rights (think Indigenous Australians and asylum seekers). But do we really want to be part of an association of nations where the majority of members think it is ok to lock up LGBT people? By staying a member of the Commonwealth are we condoning these discriminatory laws and practices? It would be nice to think we could use our membership to be a voice for reform, to consider the Commonwealth as a useful vehicle for promoting respect for human rights. But recent developments in Uganda and Nigeria suggest that any attempt to increase respect for LGBT rights within the Commonwealth will be rejected as neo-colonialism, and the potential for Australia to have a positive influence on the protection of LGBT rights within the Commonwealth seems slim. If we decided to leave the Commonwealth, we would not be the first. Zimbabwe and Gambia have both withdrawn, as have South Africa and Pakistan, although they have since rejoined. If Australia finds that this association no longer reflects our values and ideals, then maybe we should withdraw, retaining the option of rejoining if and when the majority of countries cease to persecute LGBT people and violate fundamental human rights. Withdrawing would mean we could no longer compete in sporting events such as the Commonwealth Games. Is this too high a price to pay? Perhaps we should ask Ian Thorpe, the proud gay man who won 10 gold medals at Commonwealth Games.
  7. Correct Sir Japan has more 7-Eleven locations than anywhere else in the world, where they often bear the title of its current holding company "Seven & I Holdings". Of the 50,254 stores around the globe, 15,852 stores (30% of global stores) are located in Japan with 2,079 stores in Tokyo alone. And here is the first Japanese 7-Eleven store to open in Tokyo in May 1974
  8. When I came back from the Philippines in June I looked up the 7/11 franchise out of curiousity so I have a fair idea of how many Thai outlets there are, but as I used Google I will not answer Your right Sam, and apart from Sweden there are 7-11's in the other Scandinavian countries of Norway and Denmark I think we all probably know that the 7-11 originated in the US but maybe this could be the next question Which Country has the most 7-11 stores?

  12. This was a guy's impartial view written February 2014 "TJ’s Music Bar is not your typical Ladyboy bar but I thought it would be worth a mention. TJ’s Music Bar is located in an area called Naklua which is just a few minutes’ drive from Central Pattaya, Thailand. From what I understand the bar is German owned and it is a mixture of both ladyboys and girls. As the name suggest, it really isn’t a bar just for sex but a place to hang out, listen to live music, drink, watch sports on the big screen or play a few games of pool. It is a popular spot for those in the area and for those that need a break from the craziness of the Pattaya bar scene. I am including this bar because there are a handful of sexy ladyboys that do work in this bar. I would say no more than 6 on any given night but they are sweet, fun and would love to have a drink with you. You can go with the ladyboys as well in short time rooms nearby but not on site or take them home. I am pretty sure you have to wait until their shift is over as the ladyboys are employed as waitresses at this bar, it is not your typical pick up joint. The bar itself has several places to sit, some sofa like chairs, stools and tables and more stools by the bar where you order drinks. They usually have a live music band playing in the front and the customer base is a wide range of both guys and girls that are mostly middle age clients. If you are looking to stick your hands down a ladyboys panties right in the bar it probably is not the right place. This is more of a relaxed atmosphere for the most part but from my experience the ladyboys are pretty good of slipping their hands in your pants from behind a table. The bathroom is behind the bar down to your left and the bar is an open faced bar so you can see and be seen by most people on the street. They have a number of pool tables and a very professional semi pro table but you might have to wait a while to get a chance to play on that table. They also have the occasional party and buffets with pretty good food are quite common for the establishment. TJ’s Music Bar is located on Soi 18 on Naklua Road in Pattaya. To reach it from Central Pattaya just get on Second Road and drive pass the roundabout many people call it the Dolphin Turnabout. Drive for a couple of minutes until you see the Soi 18 sign and then turn left. TJ’s Music Bar will be just down the street a little on your right hand side. You usually can park along the street in front or close to the establishment. I will admit it is a little off the beaten path and you will not be right in the nightlife action but a short taxi ride back and you are in the thick of things once again. However, there are a few beer complexes that are within walking distance. Personally I am not a huge fan of live music bands and when I go out I like a little more excitement to my night. The bar also has a number of dogs that walk around the bar and last time I was there I saw a couple of them peeing on top of a table which I found a little gross. The dogs are owned by the bar and are not some random street dogs but still I wish they keep them in another area or not bring them at all. Though I suppose a lot of the regulars expect to see the friendly faces of the dogs when they arrive. For the shy Ladyboy fan the privacy level is not the greatest but since this bar has both Ladyboy and girl staff you could just buy drinks for both and play the fun guy role. If you are fondling and drooling all over a Ladyboy then you might get a few looks from some people in the bar but for the most part I would not worry about it too much. The bar was also involved in the Ladyboy Water Volleyball charity events which shows their commitment to give something back to the community. For the most part the bar can be a good time and it is a nice choice if you would just like a relaxing night or perhaps just the start of your night with a few drinks. It is not a Go-Go bar and it will not have a lot of ladyboys trying to tear off your clothes. However, there are a few sexy ladyboys and they are very happy to hang out with you and maybe something naughty after. Just remember this is not really a Ladyboy bar but instead a bar that happens to have a few ladyboys as waitress staff. They will not be begging you for drinks or a short time but the option to have sex with them is surely there.

Reports that a Malaysian 777 with 295 people on board has crashed in the Ukraine. Interfax has said that the aircraft crashed near the Ukrainian/Russian border, and Malaysia has confirmed an "incident" on one of their aircraft. The aircraft was reportedly going from Europe to Malaysia, and never entered Russian airspace, as expected. It reportedly started losing altitude just before the Russian border, and was near the fighting in Donetsk.

  21. It is indeed Glenda Typhoon Rammasun (Glenda) Leaves the Philippines; Targets South China, Vietnam Typhoon Kills 12 in Philippines, Spares Manila Rammasun, the Thai term for god of thunder A typhoon that killed at least 20 people in the Philippines has moved out to sea and is now heading for China. Typhoon Rammasun, known locally as Glenda, prompted the evacuation of almost 150,000 people and forced the closure of financial markets, government offices and schools. Authorities say five people are missing. The typhoon cut a path through eastern islands and the capital Manila, toppling trees and power lines and causing electrocutions and blackouts. It brought storm surges to Manila Bay and prompted disaster officials to evacuate slums on the capital's outskirts. The typhoon is now more than 200km west of the Philippines in the South China Sea. Tropical Storm Risk, which monitors cyclones, downgraded Rammasun to a category-one storm on Wednesday. But it predicts Rammasun will gain in strength to a category-three storm within a couple of days, picking up energy from the warm sea as it heads for the Chinese island of Hainan. Weather authorities in the Philippines are still warning of heavy rain, thunderstorms and flooding in some areas. Typhoon hits capitalRichard Gordon, chairman of the Philippine National Red Cross, said there was minimal damage in the capital Manila but staff were trying to rescue people trapped by fallen debris in Batangas City in the south where two people were electrocuted. "We have not received reports of major flooding in Metro Manila because the typhoon did not bring rain, but the winds were strong," he said. Emergency officials say many of those who died were hit by falling trees or under collapsing houses. A 25-year-old woman was killed when she was hit by a falling electricity pole as Rammasun hit the east coast on Tuesday, the Philippine disaster agency said. A pregnant woman was killed when a house wall collapsed in Lucena City in Quezon province south of the capital. More than 60 international and domestic flights have been cancelled over the past two days.
