I decided that I wanted to travel more, so I hopped on the Big Iron Bird- and landed in Guatemala! One night in Guatemala City, then off to Antigua. Scenic former Spanish colonial town complete with a supposedly still active volcano in the neighborhood. The 'Bus Station' where recycled US school busses have a second life.

I recognize it from the safes, that's at Wang Samsein, on Phratamnak Hill. Peaceful place. You'll get your exercise if you walk there!1 point

For today at least Pattaya is a deckchair free zone. There are no chairs available although some are stacked up in their regular pitches.

Last month Paradise Club was offering 6 beers for 500baht (bottled beer, incl. sml!). Not sure if it's still on or not but worth checking if you're in the area. A very good deal considering it's a bkk club. You do have to inform them you're going for the promotion before you make the initial order so they don't charge you a per bottle price. Edit: credit goes to BM Gutsy who pointed it out to me1 point
