pdogg
Above is an artist's rendition of the Sukhumvit tunnel; the construction is tying up Pattaya traffic. Do you think the price tag is a typo? An engineer from the department building the 837.4 billion baht traffic-bypass under Sukhumvit Road assured Pattaya business leaders that the 420-meter-long tunnel would not flood.http://www.pattayamail.com/localnews/engineer-assures-pattaya-business-leaders-sukhumvit-tunnel-won-t-flood-45064 Quote Link to comment
rxpharm
The quoted price means around 130 Billion for building the tunnel and the remainder for "facilitating the construction". Quote Link to comment
xyzzy
As I understand it is suppose to take three years to finish. So it will be making traffic worse for quite a while before it gets better. They have already stopped the ability to turn one way from Suk to Klang. And they are making some side roads that are now two way into one way streets. At the wrong time of day and on weekends it will be interesting. Quote Link to comment
TEXASMAC
3 years means 10. Quote Link to comment
Torurot
"would not flood" during the dry season Quote Link to comment
