Pdoggg
Think it's a good idea to book a room with a safety box. Best if it fits a laptop. If there is no in-room safe where do you hide valuables? Quote Shortly after, at 2:10 AM, a foreign tourist, Mr. Jerome, a French national, filed a report with Pattaya police. He stated that while walking along South Pattaya Beach, he was approached by a transgender woman offering companionship services. He agreed to take her to his hotel in South Pattaya to hang out, according to him. However, upon arriving at his room, he briefly went to the bathroom. When he came out, the individual had disappeared. Upon checking his belongings, he discovered that 57,000 baht in cash, which consisted of 53,000 baht in euros and 4,000 baht in Thai baht, had been stolen. The money had been hidden inside a sock within his suitcase. https://thepattayanews.com/2025/02/27/three-foreign-tourists-fall-victim-to-theft-in-pattaya-in-one-night/
rxpharm
In room safes are over-rated for security. See the below videos. I put my valuables in my hard sided luggage that is double locked with the luggage combo lock and a combination TSA zipper lock. Of course they can haul off my luggage, but out of sight reduces temptation.
Potter
I use a large cash box and put my valuables inside it and then in the safe. Other secure it in your suitcase locked up. You can pick up a hard suitcase in good condition from a charity shop. A theif can open up a suitcase with a zip, with just a pen and zip it back up again.
Pulci Gorgon
First of all, I never carry €1500 in cash in my suitcase—that’s a large sum. I prefer using debit/credit cards, which don’t come with the same risk or cost." "Secondly, I have a luggage safe. It’s difficult to open, but it could be taken quite easily. It comes with a steel cable that I can secure to my luggage or to a sturdy item, like a TV bracket. Edit : I also used a tip I leant in a yellow cab company in the USA : 'you have 3 seconds to decide whether you can pick up some one or not. If you make a mistake, you will have time to regret it'. It works fairly good. My worst surprises with ladyboys consisted in hooking up a ladyboywith poor sex servicebut I was never stolen since my first trip in Asia.
