I'm with strocube on this - why can't there be a society that lives outside the social norms but is fully accepted?? Everybody is in too much of a hurry to have there preferences recognised as "normal". We don't want normal, why not have something that is a little bit "wrong"

The word "exploitation" by it's exact translation is divisive and open to interpretation. My thoughts are that exploitation is where a person is forced to do something against there will, because they have little or no other choice. But it could be argued that I only translate it to this context because it allows me to sleep soundly at night, believing I have done no wrong. Others may argue that the very fact I indulge in sex for cash in a third world country means I am exploiting a less well off society for my own needs. This is probably a valid argument. However, as seven mentioned earlier, we could all argue we are being exploited in our own society by the rich business owner, if you wanted to perceive things in that manner. For example, I work my ass off usually 60 hours a week, and although I receive a generous remuneration, only my boss is getting rich through my hard work. But i don't feel I am being exploited, because I am not doing it against my will, I am doing it to make ends meet.

The camera to be looks more like a "hidden cam" than a CCTV set up. I must say I fookin love Benidorm, but alas I haven't been there since 2005, which is the year I first discovered Thailand and all it has to offer. It may very much be on the cards for another visit in the too distant, given that I have really started to go off Thailland, especially Pattaya, over the past year or two. Pricewise, mongering aside as I didn't ever partake while in Benidorm (no need to monger, there are a plethora of Brit/Irish girls more than willing for a bit of holiday humpty dumpty), I found Benidorm extremely cheap for accommodation, food and drink, and there are cheap flights almost daily from Belfast. Not sure if it still as cheap, but hopefully young Dukey can report back with a tip or 4-0, oops I mean a tip or two??

The fantasy is most certainly different from the reality. I stayed many times at La Bamba and believe me they don't come knocking at your door. Even in the days when I was "available" as a customer, there were no late knocks or cries outside the door of "I horny, can I come in" Once the bar has closed for the night they seem more intent in going back to their room to sleep, or play on their phones until daylight, which is generally when they sleep.

The real expense in Thailand now is propelled by the exchange rate, more than anything else. I have been going there for 13 years now and I really don't think prices have risen too much in that time, whether it be for beer, accommodation, p4p or food. The problem is, when I first went it was 72.50 baht to the £sterling, last week this was down to 40.15 Putting that into perspective, if you go into a bar, buy 2 beers, and say 1 ladydrink, outside of happy hours, your bill would likely be around 360 baht, Add in a standard tip, and suddenly it is £10 for a few beers, which is really more than we pay at home. I reckon the ladydrinks are being avoided now in many bars as a result of this, because it is generally 160THB (£4) at most bars for a lady drink

I agree, never even new about until a couple of years ago when the La B girls took me there to play pool. In my opinion it is a better pool hall than Megabreak, with the added bonus of seeing quite a few of the GoGo cuties scampering up the hall to use the Hong Nam on a regular basis. They also do Thatchers Gold at a reasonable enough price, which I do enjoy as an alternative to beer. FWIW, xyzzy may be interested - from now until around mid January they have a raffle type event at the back of the pool hall. You pay 100 baht and pick a star off the tree. Some of the prizes are top notch, and you will always win something, even if it the losing prizes are a pack of nuts and a can of beer. Last year I managed to win 7 nights in a Deluxe room at the hotel (valid March until November), while Sindy and Nok between them won a flat screen TV, Washing Machine, mini fridge, microwave oven and also several nights in one of the deluxe rooms. Very much worth a couple hundred baht.
