It seems if changing US 100 dollar bills the best rate is: Super Rich Thailand Green Rajdamri 1, Bangkok Also good is: Vasu Sukumvit at Soi 9/1 TT Exchanges Pattaya (price is not consistent from branch to branch) Super T Antique store Pattaya Rail Link at Swampy Super Rich Thailand Green and Value Plus Red (if changing dollars to baht don't change more than a couple of hundred bucks, however changing baht to dollars especially 1 dollar bills is good) Tough to compare rates as some websites update more frequently than others. Yesterday SuperT was paying one satang more than TT. Right now, Vasu is higher than Super Rich Rajdamri 1 but that is probably because of website updates. Some places specialize in certain currencies. For example, think Super T has lots of Middle East and North African customers.

Simple Simons has a good breakfast for 130 baht. The sausage and bacon were high quality. Don't know if the beans were Heinz but they do sell cans of Heinz beans there. What I like best is that it comes with a mug of a coffee and a free refill. The mug has about twice as much coffee as other brekkie joints so with the refill that's four times as much coffee. So if you want to linger over a second cup while reading the Bangkok Post, Simple Simons is a good choice. ========================================= There's a joint named Harry House a couple shops away from the Family Mart by the Tuesday/Friday market. They have coffee and a croissant for 49 baht. Much cheaper than Benjamit. After 5PM, croissants are only 10 baht and they have various types such as chicken filled etc.

Came across a blog post by a Soi 6 bar manager saying the biggest part of his job is drinking with customers. Do you go to bars to chat with the farang owner or manager?

All the naughty bits of Pink are exposed from her drool worthy cock to her itty bitty titties. Pink's ass is always ready and she takes the dick deep cowgirl style. Pink switches to reverse cowgirl. Next is doggystyle and submissive little Pink is fucked like a good little slut. Her ass stretched to the limit. Pink is next fucked missionary so you can have a great view of Pink jerking herself off. Here's the video link:

Most bars will be closed from 23:59 Saturday, Oct 12th to 23;59 Sunday, October 13th. But you can still get takeout delivered on Thai Friendly!

He mentions Sweethearts has reopened but doesn't say it's a ladyboy bar. There are shots of the outside of Sweethearts as he is coming and going to Nicky's.

Jay Fai is the only Bangkok street food outlet with a Michelin star. It ain't cheap though.

200 baht at Witherspoons. Many moons ago, I'd go there to watch sports but nowadays there are many more bars with multiple sports screens with really low prices. What's the name of the low priced one on the beach side of Buakhao?

Name that shot! I think #1 is from Jomtien Complex overlooking View Talay 1 or 2, forget which is which. and #2 is from Jomtien Complex overlooking Hanuman Statue

Since almost anything one does at Immigration is to some degree a judgement call, I usually wear trousers and a collared shirt and also shave. If there is a charity box, I put in 100 baht. I smile and give them my best สวัสดีครับ but I usually don't wai as I often have stuff in both hands. I've seen guys in wifebeaters, and swimming trunks with their balls hanging out. But I figure it doesn't hurt to show some respect.

Adds up to allot of ladyboys. Maybe not as many as Boot and the Duke though!

Hmmm, another ladyboy! Interesting commentary! Anyone know the ladyboy in the video?

Nice find DC! Yes, lots of big buildings and more traffic now. But change isn't always bad. PassApp, which is similar to Grab, makes getting around town cheaper without having to haggle with tuk tuk drivers. A huge improvement compared to just a few years ago. From the Dynsey to Street 136 is just 75 cents. To the airport usually slightly less than 4 bucks. The smaller vehicles which PassApp calls rickshaws are actually better to the old style tuk tuks but only fit 2 barangs. It's much easier to get in and out of especially on a rainy day when the steps on the old style tuk tuks are slippery. It is a rare day when I don't go to Street 172 at least once. But I've never been to a hostess bar there. I don't shit where I eat. The video is a very accurate depiction of the street. Big Easy is a very successful new business. The owners know exactly what backpackers want so the place is usually packed because it has the backpacker vibe. They have a Quiz Night on Thursdays. Red Fox II has a quiz on Tuesdays. Only quiz night I've been to where guys are smoking weed.

Yup, that's the biggest problem with condos. There usually is an overpriced charge for cleaning and an additional overpriced charge for changing the bedding.

Paddington is both a bear and train station, right?

Does anyone have a Maybank ATM card? I'm trying to figure out if it is a good option for me. From looking online it appears that I could open a Maybank account in Phnom Penh and withdraw funds at their Angeles City branch and incur no fees yet receive the true interbank exchange rate. I will inquire at my local Phnom Penh branch but sometimes bank employees just make stuff up to save face rather than admit that they don't know. So am wondering if anyone has experience using Maybank in various countries. It also appears that I can get a 15 month time deposit paying 4.25% interest which is better than rates in the USA or Thailand. Maybank Cambodia

The Golden House is what I used to recommend. It's right in the heart of Ladyboy Central. Rooms were quite nice but haven't been in one for 6 or 7 years. Front rooms might be noisy until the wee hours. More expensive than Dynsey though. One advantage of the Dynsey is that it's not in Ladyboy Central but an easy walk or 3000 riel (75 cents) away using the PassApp rickshaw. At the Dynsey I stayed in a deluxe king which suited my needs but many of you would prefer the slightly larger Junior Suite. The advantages of the Junior Suite are: 1) The bathroom of the back rooms such as the Deluxe King are extremely narrow because of space limitations due to the physical layout of the building. 2) The Junior Suite has a balcony which is especially useful if you are a smoker. 3) The Deluxe King was extremely dark which is OK with me but some guys would prefer the cheerier Junior Suite which has much more natural light.

As with most guesthouses when booking through a 3rd party website, it seems that you can't choose which floor your room is on. Given the steep stairs mentioned in a review, that might matter more than the room type.

Seems like an excellent deal Dukie! However what if there turns out to be something you don't like? One idea would be to make 4 bookings of 7-7-7-8 nights. That way if all of a sudden you get fed up with Pattaya and want to go to Phuket or there is a rat in the room or a rogue ladyboy is stalking you then you have an easy way out with just 3 days notice while at the same time you are locked in and can stay the whole 29 days if things go as expected. Some of us take those risks with monthly rentals to get the unit we want but one nice thing about Booking.com is that you can make sequential reservations taking away those risks. Nice pillows btw!

A gay friend reports that Eros has closed. There are now 3 gogos and 8 beer bars in Sunee. The 3 gogos are the rather expensive Power Boys and Nice Boys on Soi VCand Winner Bar inside Sunee which is not only by far the lowest priced boy agogo in Pattaya but probably the one with the femmiest boys.

The BOT, Thailand's Fed, neither raised nor cut interest rates today. But if the Thai economy continues to weaken, then perhaps the BOT may cut rates. Al other things being equal, a cut in interest rates will weaken the baht as capital seeks the highest risk adjusted rate of return.

Sorry to hear that Sustra. That's the last thing you need on your holiday. If it was outside a bank, report it to the bank. If it was outside a 7/11 or somewhere not the bank, report it to both the 7/11 and the bank. Which bank was it? Also contact your credit card company back home.

No ladyboys but for those who partake Enjoy Bar in Khlong Dao on Koh Lanta bills itself as 420 Friendly. They have a Facebook Page. If you know of other 420 friendly bars, post here.
