If I was coming down to Pattaya for a few nights, I'd stay at the Neta Resort. In Thailand the 5% becomes 0% if the border remains closed without sacrificing lifestyle or freedom. I do understand that no tourism severely impacts the economy but unrestricted tourism would probably lead to lots of restrictions and loss of freedom which might be worse.

There are about 10% more new USA Covid cases today than yesterday's new Covid cases. At this rate it should hit about 100K new cases a day in about a week or so. Corrective action is being taken in various Sunbelt states but there is a time lag between when one catches Covid and when symptoms appear so I doubt if the curve will flatten before the 100K point.
