Bamboo WE are heading down to Pattaya tomorrow for a few days and always bring supplies for the staff . Before moving to Thailand I only used the shoots from a tin when cooking stir fry, as usual the fresh stuff is way better . So here is a little on bamboo . There are over a 1000 different types of bamboo and it is from the grass family , also its about the fastest growing land based plant in the world . The Bamboo shoots we collected today about a meter tall and took 2 days to get that size so here is the process . They are collected up to a meter tall ( over that height the taste is not good ) , the outer leaves are removed then chopped into small peaces then brought to the boil then simmered for up to 3 hours when the flesh becomes soft and eatable. It can be eaten in peaces with any meal or made into a mash with chilly added and eaten with sticky rice ( I prefer it with chilly as I find it bland otherwise ) .

Down at the farm we have a dam so we decided to stock it with fish for another food source when big enough to eat . So here is a spot of fishing done the lazy way . The lady's ( with Annet's help ) got 40 klg of fish at 30 baht per klg and then threw in an other 5 klg for free LINE-MOVIE-1599624951943.mp4

The one I have is fibre from the Junction box out on the soi , about 200 metres from my house . Its a single Fibre cable that looks like a piece of glass and super sharp and very brittle, they used this special machine to join the cable to the router . I know all this because I watched the hole process

The one I have worked fine , it was not good up in the room because of the concrete walls and such but outside it was great but expensive topping it up all the time . I bought it outright and not on a plan

You shouldn't need a router , the pocket wifi works just like using your phones WiFi to work your pc or tablet

The cat guys had to run a new wire from about 200 meters from the Junction box to the house ,that was all included in the 400 bath per month, NO joining fee . The little pocket WiFi you can get at most phone shops and a sim , if you go that option and are happy with your sim provider now , then give them a go . You can always change sim companies when a better deal pops up . I have one of those pocket things but WiFi kept dropping out , that was when I had Zaza 2 it could have been my location

That is pretty slow 10 mbps . get your girl to give CAT a call Mr. P 1322 or www.cattelecom.com . Its another option for you. I am very happy with the speed I have and unlimited download to boot
