seeing the business sector based in BKK is around 40% of GDP its no wonder that sacrifices had to be made to stop the inner BK flooding . Tough decisions yes but any Govt would have done the same if this were say London or Amsterdam or New York say. No doubt about it

I agree with Mardhi.. the Ladyboy perspective is just that and nothing else . Corruption in Thailand has bugger all to do with the Westerner and crime is there own problem other than in a few place like Pattaya but thats a small place anyway and it takes two to Tango as well Also there are lies told all the time but i think most of us know about that and are deeply cynical. Having said that when i am in LOS with my favourite Ladyboy its very easy to fall back into the realm of self delusion where many of us live an awfull lot of the time of the time. re the crime thing.. The issue as such is that the sources for information change there tune every day. My estimation is that inner BKK will be saved . Latest estimation is that in two weeks all fringes of inner BKK will be dry now due to measures taken regarding pumping the water out etc etc. I hope so

The biggest problem is that the airport is now deemed a risk of flooding as well as inner BKK. My flight is not until mid december but im already making a contingency flight to the PI just in case. My Xmas break aint getting fucked up by mother nature It wouldnt surprise me if Patpong closes for a week or two as its empty and half the bar girls have left already. It appears the Water is around Soi40 something now. Many phone lies have gone kaputt due to the ingress of water uptown... I think on Sunday they are going to dig a trench across Bang Na Highway to divert the water away. A temp bridge will be built for traffic to cross. This is the highway to Pattaya i believe so hope someone can report back on this if it appears. If it helps then who minds a traffic jam Heres hoping for the best

In BKK a four day holiday has been declared i think and many are heading for Patt or H Hin the BK post states. Its says that cheap accomodation in Pattaya will all be gone soon if more pour in. Also many westerners are avoiding BKK. Even i thought twice about going to BKK . See you in December sometime PD and we'll get the chessboard out ..

Ive removed my belongings stored in Soi4 off ground level and had them move it upstairs at a friends house. To be honest i left LOS a few days ago as i cant be bothered to take a chance. My gut feeling is that Soi4 may just escape the deluge but if it comes it could be 1-6 weeks before it drys out depending on many factors and unknown unknowns. And thats the nub... with estimates this wide its a tough call. Chinatown has water already it seems I wont be back for 6-7 weeks thats for sure. Ill only have the snow to contend with in London I think theres a few guys here who live around there so hopefully we will get some more feedback in the next 48 hours

Lollipop Bar has had post ops for years and its still mixed the other day. PlaySkool Bar is another one that has between two and four a night working. The most attractive one has left after she could stand the boredom and aching legs after one week. In fact the Outside bar area is a meeting place that some BMs use to meet certain postie friends but discretion is required as the Mamasan wants the secret kept a secret . the Mamasan here has a very good name and all the staff have no problems here The other night at the bar i let my postie friend buy drinks outside for her friends. They were coming out of the woodwork and was a bad move as the bill was enormous , but in did get to view some real PO stunners from other bars and non workers... so perhaps it was worth it.

I walked in two weeks ago and walked out again. No one there. No staff .. just empty.Go figure... It looks like a travel agents from the outside and just went into PooK instead for a beer Doubt if this will last another month
