  1. Yes if I right click on the name in the post and click on "Copy link Location" then I can paste it anywhere. Thanks I guess that is useful as unfortunately Facebook won't cease to exist any time soon.
  2. Well perhaps I've made my Firefox not work the way yours works. I hate tabs so much I used a software patch to brute force tabs from happening. It saves some space at the top of the window. So I can't open a tab of any sort. If I click on Christian Laporte and "open link in new window" the new window opens but shows the same thing I see here at the website and clicking on the link in the new window does nothing. Does "open link in new window" work correctly for you or just new tab.
  3. The above method does not work for me on Firefox. I can see it in Chrome so it's either a Firefox setting or incompatible with Firefox. If I didn't think Google was the scum data collector of the earth I would use Chrome. Guess times change as I used to think Microsoft was the scum of the earth.
  4. Sorry, remind me why I can't see these again.

    Upskirting

I'll go with Maria Sharapova. If that is wrong then Anna Kournikova. One of those Russians. EDIT: It's Maria
  6. Definitely reinforces my feelings of not wanting to be there.
  7. I sent a text once and it cost something like 50 baht. So actually transmitting (if you will) is expensive but the free perks are great.
  8. I'm going to guess Cambodia uses different frequencies or otherwise doesn't let AIS connect to networks. I had to do nothing to make my AIS phone work in the US and Hong Kong. I just turn it on and can receive texts or dial USSD codes (like check balance) for free. So I can use it here at home if I need a code for my Thai bank account. I bought a DTAC SIM last trip for my backup phone and it does not work in the US. I think maybe it would have worked if I activated something in Thailand (or so I read somewhere). But don't have all the details. Not sure what frequencies they use in Cambodia and the Philippines compared to Thailand. But in more developed countries AIS will likely work for receiving texts?
  9. What brand of SIM do you have? I receive free text messages here in the USA on AIS via T-Mobile. I turn off AIS data (*129*1#) when I leave Thailand.
  10. Cebu Pacific checked the weight in SIN after check in. You had to go through a narrow area where they had scales set up. They did not weigh my laptop bag so I could put some extra stuff in there if necessary. I never had to weigh my carry on for any other flight. Apparently the trans Pacific carriers aren't as interested in checking such things as the Middle East carriers.
  11. It just stopped raining and Soi Chaiyapoon is flooded but it stopped just before getting high enough to get inside the buildings. Minor flooding on Buakhao but the west end of Chaiyapoon is lower than Buakhao so the water collects there. First flood I noticed but probably slept though any others as the rains have mostly been late morning or early afternoon. Sorry, back to your regularly scheduled program. I could make you guess where this is but it's too easy for many of you.
  12. The power plug / AC charger for a laptop can't store power so it's not a battery. I usually always put my laptop charger in my carry on. My carry on has been searched several times with no problems. I had my carry on weighed once in Singapore by Cebu Pacific. Never AirAsia or BKK Air.
  13. Yes they all are about the same but I go to the one on Klang. When Big C bought out Carrefore they named the store Big C Extra while the other stores were Big C Supercenter. I don't think that has changed? The one on Klang and the one on north 2nd Road:
  14. I spend a lot of baht in Villa because they have a lot of imported American stuff that I buy. I put it on my credit card as it's one of the few places I'm not scared to use a card. I make my own breakfast and lunch mostly using USA imports. It's all very expensive but at least I can control my calories/sodium/etc. On a day when I go out for my usual Italian supper I maybe spend as much money in a day on food as you do in a week. That would have to change if I lived here. FWIW some things are cheaper at Big C extra than Friendship. The beginning of this trip I loaded up on 11 750ml bottles of Listerine as it was 14 baht cheaper than Friendship. But I usually make the trek to Big C Extra early in my trips to get several things I can't find elsewhere. Friendship has good prices on canned V8 juice, condoms and lube (that I need) as well a general groceries. The gym is good but since they lowered the price they don't keep the place as cool as previously. I like it cool as I have to work harder to keep my heart rate up and get a better workout.

  16. Soi Lengkee and 3rd Road. That place is a fraction of the size of a Mr. DIY but can have some goodies one needs. I bought a plastic fan blade assembly for the Hatari floor standing fan in my room after I demolished the original blades. I paid 165 baht and was later told that it would likely have been about 90 baht if purchased by a Thai. But a lot of the stuff has the price shown.
  17. A new Mr. DIY is about to open in The Avenue. It isn't open yet but the shelves are stocked. They have everything from computer mice to plumbing parts to personal items listed above. It's in the back of the ground floor across from the food court. The Avenue is going through it umpteenth make over since I started coming here. They keep trying but nothing seems to stick. Perhaps a retailer like Mr. DIY will help?
  18. I'm circumcised and never really given it much thought. Now that I have given it some thought I find the thought mostly wasted. If you are in Thailand you won't often find a circumcised LB. Much more common in the Philippines. But phimosis is a big turn off for me. And I see some Thai LBs with phimosis that functionally, I think, would be better off clipped.

I though another scene in Life of Brian was the funniest I've ever seen. But you won't get it unless you saw the movie. Everyone in the theater cracked up when this happened.

    Airline News

I don't fly Thai but 20k would be a problem as I'm usually right at the US economy limit of 50 pounds. This trip I was actually 51.5 but the nice baggage check-in person at Southwest let it go. They likely allow a few extra pounds anyway? But 25k from BKK Air would be OK for my 50 pounds. I also prefer BKK Air/Swampy to AirAsia/Don Mueang. Although on my BKK Air flights I've always had to get on a bus to take me to the plane instead of the flight using a gate. Not terrible but a gate would be better. I was once on an ANA 787 flight (Narita to BKK) and they took us to the plane in buses. First time I ever saw a plane that big being loaded from buses. FWIW BKK Air charges more for a one way ticket than they do for the same flight if purchased as a round trip/return. Plus the first price you see at BKK Air is not what it costs after everything is added in. I picked a random date and the results are below.
  21. As I sometimes point out different people go to bars for different reasons. Two of the guys that like TJs and Katty Bar have a live in LB. Thus are just looking for a night out with the boys and perhaps some eye candy. But both of the bars are also a good place for someone like me who is looking for the LB of the night. I wouldn't want to go there every other night but there are usually enough LBs available to keep a 'take them one time (maybe twice) and done' guy like me happy. At least for a while as length of trip might be a factor.
  22. I went to Marine last week on a weeknight from around 3:30 to 5:15. The number of LBs, GGs and customers was way down from previous trips. There were so few people you could mostly walk straight across the dance area to the toilet. The end of the month often brings out some extra girls looking to make rent money. But the selection was very poor. Perhaps better on the weekends?
  23. I still do get my LBs out of bars or go to a massage place. I spend the most time in 69 and New Bar. Mainly because after I eat, and while the LBs are arriving, I play pool. While I like both Katy Bar and TJ's a lot I have so much within walking distance that I rarely go there.
  24. No but perhaps less likely to be on hormones. No
