This is one of my favorite threads now, and not even Ladyboy related(?) I got off work tonight and stopped by the 24 hr Grocery Store to pick up some beer,and to my surprise"Christmas actually is in July!!!!" 5555 They wer running an outrageous special on Mendocino IPA and Stout, these are high gravity(ABV) beers and so good, 4 pack cost were $3.99 USD WTF!!!! so I bought a case 3 IPA's and 3 Imperial Stouts! I'm a happy man! May go back tommorrow and buy another case as this price is fuckin' incredible!

Wow Lefty, you are "old school" Crisco(??) really 5555! I used to wank with this as a teenager and that was 30 odd years ago! Just remember when it comes to "fisting"!

KenW, You are correct in stating that all(or most beers)are made with hops. But an IPA is brewed with quite a lot of hops and not so much malt, this gives it an almost "tongue burning" taste but in a good way a really good IPA makes you pucker almost.5555 Plus most IPA's are higher in alcohol content than your standard lagers,etc. and so you don't need to drink as many to get that pleasant buzz. I've tasted probably over 100 IPA's and they were all great although some are kind of dangerous as they really kick your ass(DogfishHead 120 IPA is an example as it's 21% alcohol by volume,compare this to say Singha which is about 5% and you understand what I mean 5555) I love beer and am a real snob when it comes to drinking it now,and it's hard for me to settle for the Macro brews anymore at all. SiamSam, Ballast Point is brewed in SanDiego,CA and they also offer another IPA called BigEye,most of their beers are named after fish LOL. Just Google them or if you are a Facebook member then add them as a friend,like etc. Trust me on this you won't be let down,as this is such a great beer, bright hoppy and with a bit of grapefruit notes,very refreshing and like I said before so yummy! I do like my Imperial Stouts and IPAs the best,and this would be the only thing I'd miss if I lived in Thailand! Iceberg BTW-Have you tried "Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA" as this one is my go to standard when drinking IPAs! They are a Deleware Brewery in the USA and this is also really great stuff!

Good point on the price mardhi,as it would probably be cost prohibitive and not many would pay this price.I really like great beer though so I'd buy it,and most of the belgian imports are higher in Alcohol volume so it doesn't take as many to get a good buzz LOL. The Carousell Bar on soi buckhoaw has a few available but the cost is a bit high (180-220 baht?? i think)so this is just a few times indulgence on my trip, although sipping a Duvel,Kasteel blonde and brown,and a cherry lambic last time I was in Pattaya was really nice. SiamSam, I didn't know you were my long lost brother happy to know there are others on here that "love" a great IPA as much as I do! A bit of topic here but SS, if you get a chance please try "Ballast Point Sculpin" IPA if you can as it's in my top 5 beers I've ever tasted! So yummy!

Don't know about drinking from "wood kegs" as this is a bit before my time,but a lot of the "craft brewers(small batch)in the USA offer beers aged in "oak barrels" and I've always enjoyed every one I've ever drank! Iceberg BTW-Has anyone ever been to BeerVault in the Sheraton on soi 15 in BKK,as they have a lot of great Belgian Imports available,and I can't wait for HH there on Sept. 30th!

Great thread Willie,and like DT said even if we had a bit of "running feuds" on the forums,I still think that in a real life meeting we'd all get along like long lost friends,as we are a unique fraternity of Ladyboy enthusiast and it's always good to be around like minded fellas. I was lucky enough to meet SLBT(recognized him from a thread on LBP)on my 1st night ever in LOS,and also got to meet Juri(the legend,Id read about for many months before coming to LOS!)and of course my best wingman ever Dom/Woofie(where are you now my canadian friend?)as he saved my ass,on the "cigarette butt littering scam outside of MBK!" I have enjoyed all of your PM's Willie and the only thing I can say now is I hope to finally meet up with ya in LOS. Really all they seem to be able to provide is "good cigars?" and "baseball talent" it's only 90 miles from the USA,but still a world away because of the "embargo" I like Cuban GGs here in the US,but really wonder if there are any LBs to be had,as QG stated the "macho latino culture" probably doesn't help here with the LB/TG's being accepted. Well said TM, as it always amazes me in the USA, when people say they can't find jobs(?) I work a job that I can't stand, but fuckit' it keeeps me fed,and allows me to keep a roof over my head(never taken gov. assistance ever)and let's me vacation in some really great places. Americans are lazy IMO,and that's why this country is now so "fucked up"! Sorry to threadjack here but it looks like the rest of the world is headed in the same direction. Thanks for the heads up BB, and I myself can add to the scams thing as last time I was in BKK I had a taxi pull up at my hotel(Heaven@4) I was waiting for MR. T taxi and this guy said he was from this company,so off i went, got a call from the real MR. T taxi service and was asked where I was, I said I was with their driver,and was informed that I was not! I asked my driver WTF!! was up and he came clean about poaching the fare! Stayed with him as I was already there! and he offered the same rate(1000baht) to Pattaya,but when we got there I had to call a BM to give him directions to my hotel,and this Motherfucker!! still dropped me off 2 blocks from my hotel!!! Fuck him what an ASSHOLE!!!I got to April Suites on my own,but what an inconvenience! Moral of this tale is don't get pulled in by an imposter! go with the real deal! Iceberg
