  1. just wanted to say I had any enjoyable night at the bar a few nights ago not just because of the hot ladies but the way poesface runs his bar is a very refreshing change from most /all other LB bars in Bkk, no LD drink pressure whatsoever and when given your change from check bin they don't just stand there waiting for a tip, I made the mistake of going to NEP just after there and noticed the difference right away, walked in and was hassled for drinks the second I sat down followed quickly by continously badgering me to bar fine them, needless to say I had 1 beer at Chili bar and got the fuck outta Nana, anyways I will be back for sure as it the only LB bar in Bkk I feel relaxed in
  2. its the young girl server I feel sorry for, she just appears to hate being there so much, seems to be a family business so obviously not there by choice at such a young age
  3. one small problem is that is, it very hot in there,, but I don't stay long so not a real big thing, like others if too busy I just don't go, only went once in 26 days this trip as it was always too busy for my liking
  4. there is another cheap place, that serves English and Thai food just as, you enter New plaza on left hand side coming from Second Rd,, can't remember the name though
  5. or you, can, stay, at The Swan Inn on soi 4 like I, did last night 700 baht,,, no, pool,, no room safe, decent other than that, great location between the Ibis and NEP ,, and at least 3 Philipina, Lbs (that I, met last night ) staying there now, the one in room 2 is particularly hot, hence a visit to my room :)
  6. I must have left way too early last night
  7. funny didn't even think it had a name
  8. is that the place beside the gold shop with big red sign (few doors south of Nidcha, same side)?
  9. couldn't find an existing thread about this so anyways thought I would chime in with 2 on my beloved soi 6, Jimmy Macs cheap breakfast, cheap sandwiches 70 bht and quite good, cheap beer and 70 bht wine but closes at 6pm and just down the soi towards km Beach Rd is Jack Tar bar bigger menu than Jimmy's, cheap beer as well (happy hour even) again cheap but good sammies, and open till midnight so 2 great little gems with good cheap food and drink and amazing people watching as you can imagine right in the thick of it
  10. I, contacted her when I first got here a, few weeks ago, and she said she was in the hospital, wow very very sad indeed
  11. no problem, just think it's great and run by great people so want them to suceed
  12. just thought I would give a big heads and thumbs up to a little place I discovered and have been eating at everyday, it is called Noi restaurant mid way down soi Honey on south side of soi, beside Honey bar (not Honey pot bar), the food is great, it is very cheap (as in street food prices) 40 baht for fried rice, curries 80 baht,, anyways run by a very friendly mother /daughter,, great place to sit and watch the soi Honey scene and world go by, and u can use the Honey bars WiFi as well, :) anyways very nice people who deserve to do well, sorry no burgers and fries 555
  13. ya all those fantasies about more naughty fun on that back of bar bench for nothing,, missed it by only 2 weeks oh well....
  14. so, I was up awake way too early this morning to go to the dentist and decided to check out the breakfast buffets on offer, the 99 baht Sawasdee hotel buffets have very little to offer and in my opinion best to pay the extra 50 baht for the Apex and Lek hotel buffets, went by the Centara Azure in soi 15 was 200 baht looked better quality food than Apex and Lek and definitely a very nice room to sit in very new and nice date type room but it finishes at 10:30am way too early imo(other 2 at 1pm) went by casa Pascal and great quality offerings for 250, smaller selection though
  15. I love one stop shopping
  16. thanks and by the way I would be suspect of anything I bought sitting in a place called Mr. Pee bar :)
  17. where did you buy it (have seen bar room hawkers selling them but always leary about them ) and how much you pay?
  18. Not trying to quote here but anyways, another I have heard lots of good about is Casa Pascal (off Second Rd) Bbq breakfast buffet 240 including vat
  19. ya I am pretty familiar with the Apex buffet as i have stayed there a few times, don't remember it being as good as this place but ya at 150 still great value, edit: just went by The Apex and brekkie buffer still 150 ,dinner 250
