  1. Fortuantely the baht has depreciated against many currencies and we are holding at 29+ for the AUD - a level i'm always happy with. As for the AUD/USD low of 85c at worst... hope it stays around 90c. Too high and my poor mining stocks are adversely impacted. And a low AUD/USD is no good for travelling to countries that peg their currencies to the USD. BTW anyone looked at the indo currency... impoding the last few months.... AUD/IDR nearly 11000. Maybe time for a stopover
  2. If only we knew if 10 + 10 = 1 or -1 we could settle this one and for all
  3. Same boat i think. Watched the "Watchmen" again over last couple of nights (3hrs directors cut) - must of been paying attention 2nd time around as i quite enjoyed it.
  4. 14 is possible under the rule of 5n-1 where n is the second digit. i. 1, 2 ,3 ... etc, given result of 4,9 & 14
  5. Add the digits of each no. and then multiply. i.e 2x2, 3x3 , 4x4 Other possible answers probably ... thats the one that stands out to me.
  6. also had a good one in Spankys one night. Slipped her 100 baht and got the best seat in the house. Tons of fun.
  7. You're probably correct but I'd rather see it go to American Hustle. The best thing i can say about Gravity is it only cost me $3 maybe $4 in Kuala Lumpur.... about its correct value.
  8. I reckon ill give the Hangover 1& 2 the 50 nudge in coming years... Cant help bad taste :) As for Gravity.... Boring!! Weak script, poor dialogue, apart from effects doesn't warrant any special mention. A movie which i really enjoyed recently was Pain and Gain. Not saying it was a masterpiece, just a good few hours of mayhem.
  9. Years ago one of the asian lb dedicated sites used to have a contacts page. Forget its name, im sure jaidee will know as it was around in his heyday.Just remembered, asianshemalesxxx.com

    Next year

NYE and just happens to be 100 days until i hit the ground... All the best in 2014 pervs!!
  11. ... Still the taxpayer has funded the other $65. The cost either way is real and is a burden to everyone. $60 wasted. $10 maximum real cost. Add another $20 on the weekends and it gets worse!Multiply that by millions of prescriptions....We are talking of saving billions via fixing this stupid process. On the same issue, i gather the same stupid process is in place in Ireland as a i read a sad story of a girl who died in the street because the pharmacist refused to supply a "prescription" medicine to counter a peanut allergy. As for Thailand selling fake medicine.... Im skeptical of a 5% trustworthy rate. My experience has been good over a 10+ yr timeframe.
  12. Funny how they waste time on such a silly measure. Private health care is inefficient and inflationary. Current wages paid to gp for a 15min chat is crazy. Bout time the whole system was reinvented. Having to spend $50+ to get a script is insanity. Say i want ciprofloxacin when I'm sick in Thailand. Costs me 100 baht - $3.5. In oz all up it'll hit $70. 20x the cost for the same end result. Madness!!!!
  13. The real parasites are the rich who exploit the ridiculously low paid people in their own country. Minimum wage levels are disgusting in the US.
  14. Only problem is one bullet isn't going to fix the problems. No matter who wins, seems one side wont accept the other. Problem for Thailand is they want a democracy but don't seem to understand you need to take the good with the bad in an imperfect system.
  15. This guy is hell bent on starting a civil war.
  16. Yup remember that one xyzzy. Very sad sight she was.
  17. This Suthep character seems committed to causing a mass break out of violence. This will end ugly this time.
  18. Thanks for writing TC. You are one lucky bugger(er)! You are right JD, Ocean Plaza i think it was called... many bodies pulled from that premises. A used to be a very regular traveller to Phuket - many friends i had made along the beachfront disappeared that day... sad memories indeed.
  19. Well... now you got me really confused
  20. Amazing stuff TC. Luv to read what happened from the moment you realised what you were in until you made in out of there.
  21. I'm pretty sure they do, but if you have a citi a/c that you are withdrawing from then the ATM fee is waived as per my comment about Phils. "With a Citibank Plus account, enjoy fee free ATM withdrawals at all Citibank ATMs worldwide." (oz account name) http://www.citibank.com.au/aus/banking/travelling-overseas.htm http://www.findmyciti.com/
  22. Such a shame these banks continually have to fuck us over. I used Aeon all the time in my most recent trip in LOS. Coupled with my fee free 28 degrees c/c from GE in OZ, i avoided all fees. (Terminal 21 in BKK, and Big C Pattaya Klang) Now Aeon looks like its lost and 28 degrees will soon be charging 3% cash advance fee even if im using my own funds.... Citibank looks the way to go in Philipines. Fee fee withdrawal and they have branches in Manila and Angeles city. No avoiding currency fees as far as i can figure.
