How are these people with no income, no land and no way of working meant to live If the government do not help them then who will So very very sad to see the long queues trying to get free food in Pattaya The answer will be a the removing of the lockdown sooner than later, driven by economy rather than health which will defeat the object of the shut down in the first place, after all Thailand has had only 40 dead, if figures are correct - so this massive shut down has worked????

Some more Temples mainly Udon Thani and Chaing Mei I know some of you say 'when you seen one you seen all' but that is not true some are on the top of hills with spectacular views, some are in Caves and some just by the road side, Many have wonderful Buddhas or incredible wall paints and murals, So they are worth a visit. I have much enjoyed seeing this religious side of Thai life.

Many of the small bars with no assets will surely not be able to recreate their business. This virus, will in my opinion totally change the way the tourist thinks – cruising will be hard hit, long flights, Spain & Italy will be frightening to the British tourist. So Thailand will struggle to get back the old farang. The benefit may be that more people will holiday in the UK, so helping it ecomony. Now I do not frequent GG bars except for an odd drink, so as you say the main Ladyboy bars might survive but some where struggling even before this. I expect, insurance will play a major role, as I am not sure if the company's will cover for the virus and they might demand the vaccine. Schemes like the Baku Group expansion, will surely fall by the wayside, will they even survive with the lock down. So, more Indians, more Chinese and more Russians will be needed to fill the holes left by us farangs. Also will the city powers, use the virus to put pressure on Soi 6, 7, 8 and 13. to try to make the town more family friendly, I think a good chance of this. I foresee smaller bars with more owners living above. More specialised services from the girls, more shows and attractions. The Entertainment in Pattaya will be more geared to the Asian/Chinese & Russian markets. I hope I am wrong but the days of great white monger is over, we are becoming a dying breed.

Well we are locked down in the UK I wonder how you feel. This is real big time, no jokes , no this just a flu, no I am going on holiday whatever may. Now you not even allowed out your house. The question is not will we conquer the virus of course we will, but affect is this being in your home, especially if like me you live on your own, going to have both on your health and your state of mind. You have 14 days to wait to see if you get the symptoms. Then one might feel a better. I had to go and pick my meds up at the pharmacy today, even though I am in the high risk category, they could not deliver, so I queued outside for 30 mins, woman appears red eyed and coughing, I ask her why she was out, she said ‘I need meds to help me’. I thought great come and infect others. The pharmacy had taken their phone off the hook, and of course left out my injection. Bloody wonderful. So a bit of a rant from me. I just feel, sad, worried and lost. But sure I will make it. Final thought all this is being done to help the elderly as they are at risk, but Italy are having now to put young people at head of the queue and make the hard decision to let the old pass on. I only know one Thai who has saved money, but only after she lost all she had gambling in BKK, now she has big bank balance and just built own house in her village. Then again she is 40+ and not worked in P4P for 15 years and is in a steady relationship for last 14 Most girls still believe 'Its Buddah's Will' and will not save, just keep borrowing money off friends. We will see, but sad for them to have to go home - but I think many of them will be happier at home with family than selling their ar**'s
