  1. BF and AJ from the Pattaya News discussed the rumors about postponing the reopening of bars until 2022 in their Q&A session yesterday. Appears that the source where the rumors originated is just a small and perhaps even obscure news outlet. It's also a bit unclear what weight the proposal to postpone the reopening of bars will really have at the CCSA meeting tomorrow (or today?). I think we'll have to wait and see what happens at the next CCSA meeting. Until then everything is just speculation... BTW: BF has lost half a kg of body fat so far...
  2. LePub Pattaya on plans not to reopen bars until 2022:
  3. No, not really... https://www.pattayamail.com/latestnews/news/thailand-to-consider-keeping-bars-clubs-closed-through-new-year-378789 Apparently BF talked about this briefly already in his live stream yesterday... From the BH: "Those who aren’t paying off crooked cops – such as the many straight-up watering holes on lower Sukhumvit Road and Khao San Road – remain closed. The same is true for nightclubs. Big nightspots in the RCA area or on Soi 11 continue to be shut down while Thai clubs paying bribes or owned by police are back to normal, such as Top One in the Rachada area, which has bottle service, live bands and discos lights going nightly. While nearly every other business owner is again earning coin – even if they have to pay off the cops to do it – law-abiding bar owners are now being chastised by the former general in charge for being “selfish” for wanting to reopen legally." https://bangkokherald.com/living/entertainment/thailands-bars-clubs-to-stay-closed-until-2022-under-proposal-to-ccsa/ TopOne Club...: ... a restaurant?? Pic above from a soundcheck 4 days ago posted by a VJ working for TOPONE Club...
  4. I've watched (parts of) the Q&A video to see how BF is coping with his fasting... Was surprised when he demonstrated that there's a way to send money directly on YouTube during live streams / live chats... This YT function is called Super Chat I believe. I think that's a cool feature! One issue I have with Facebook live streams is that if you want to send money to someone, say to Emmy's bar, you first have to open another browser window and go to your PayPal account and then either manually enter or copy-paste the Paypal address of the recipient which is hopefully mentioned in the Facebook live stream post... This is not very user friendly imo and the problem if you only have a private PayPal account - and not a business account - is that your real name will be revealed to someone you perhaps don't even know personally and you don't know what happens with this sensitive account information over time... Alternatively one could transfer money via MoneyGram or Western Union, but that's also not that user friendly I think... With Super Chat you just click on the money symbol, enter the amount you want to give to the YouTuber, enter the credit card details and click on the send button. I don't think that the credit card details will be revealed to the recipient, will they? If you're using a fake Google/YouTube account you can still send money with your real credit card, right? Has anyone ever tried or used YouTube Super Chat to send money to the bars / girls? What was your experience? Why are not more bars using YouTube instead of Facebook for their live streams? Everyone can use YouTube - but not everyone is on Facebook. On both social media sites nudity is a no-go, I therefore cannot see much of a difference here ... Interesting that the NW group has to pay key money to the landlords every three years. I thought they owned all the bars on Soi 6? Also interesting to me is that the NW group is much more open about who they are and what they are doing compared to some other bar groups, such as for example the big big bar group in Bangkok.
  5. Soi Nana getting busier by the day. But watching this video dated November 9th, one can't see too many farang tourists walking around. I only spotted two or three obvious tourists in the 4 minutes long clip: At least one of the small Soi 6 bars is open... Hillary 4 is still a construction site. Bus Stop open. Chaixi Noodles at Bus Stop Soi 4: Hooters Nana looking for girls: Hooters makes you happy!
  6. "Only restaurants and eateries with government certification can serve alcohol until 9pm. Pubs, bars and karaoke lounges will remain closed until Dec 1." writes the Straits Times (November 6th). "A 30-year-old bar hostess from an adult entertainment club along the Soi Cowboy stretch who gave her name as Phet said she returned to Bangkok from her home town of Surin a few weeks ago. 'I wish we can return to work soon. I miss those days,' she said." "Genuine holidaymakers ... will remain a rare breed for the time being ... Most people who will enter Thailand right now are either Thai people, returning residents or those travelling for practical reasons, like business trips," said Thai Hotels Association (THA) president Marisa Sukosol Nunbhakdi."
  7. Why Not? Open again? Source: http://www.bangkokeyes.com/whynot02111.jpg Why Not?, a "mostly-katoey" nitespot, has somewhat "tentatively" reopened... writes the: http://bangkokeyes.com/
  8. Yeah, she's still active. The above pic in front of Strikers Nana is from 2019 however. This selfie pic was taken yesterday only: I think she still looks good! Cascade(s) was probably the best lb bar ever (pic from around 2014):
  9. Nana these days: That's better than during the recent shutdown but still a far far cry from the golden era... How many ladyboy bars will there be left when Nana Plaza reopens? Perhaps Straps & Obsession only? Even If there'll be less lb bars at NEP than before the pandemic, we probably don't need to worry too much about finding ladyboys around Nana because there will be some FLs waiting for us at the Nana car park, like Tee Tee for example: And then there's of course Why Not and Chaos 9 further down the soi. And Soi 10 (CIB) is also just 10 minutes away... Images from social media
  10. Paper factory fire in Rayong today:
  11. Soi Nana last night, Saturday November 6th. One can see that many bars, sorry, restaurants of course, toward the Sukhumvit end of the street are open now. However past Fitzgerald's things are getting quiet. Hillary 1 for example is still closed. The guy talks about a webcam overseeing the infamous Nana parking lot. Can anyone share the link please? Khao San Road last night:
  12. Hope everything went well in Pattaya, unlike the music festival in Texas: #notheshowmustnotalwaysgoon
  13. Bangkok last night, November 6th, in a very well known ... 'coffee shop / restaurant' (bars are unfortunately still not allowed to open...) full of people drinking... coffee... until 10:30 PM: Almost everyone wearing a mask of course... Soi Nana last night after 10.30 PM: Thursday night in Bangkok's old town: "The One" on Khao San Road got a surprise visit from the authorities: Edit: To get access to KSR, you must be either fully vaccinated or take a corona test: Rocco Bar KSR 6 November 21 The One on KSR: KSR nightlife 6 November 21: https://youtu.be/ktjxqOyAx2o The authorities inspecting 76 Station restaurant in Khon Kaen: Patpong 2, waking up from the almost dead??? 14. Hooters Nana, across from Nana Plaza, has reopened today. This pic's taken 10 minutes ago:
  15. Chinatown and KSR last night, November 4th: Source: Twitter
  16. That's how a 'restaurant' in Bangkok these days looks like... Source: Twitter Unlike Nana, on Soi Cowboy everything is still closed:
  17. Nana Plaza Bangkok Sukhumvit Soi 4 last night: The gogo bars on the inside have to wait before they can reopen. Perhaps this could happen as soon as mid-November already (wishful thinking?)? Only some of the outside bars restaurants of Nana Plaza are open at the moment. No more alcohol being served past 9 PM at Stumble Inn last night: View from Nana BTS station last night toward the construction site between Sukhumvit Soi 7 and Soi 7/1: A bit off-topic perhaps: A ride around BTS Nana station last night: https://youtu.be/meo53ESH5Xg Interesting to see how some bars restaurants on Sukhumvit Soi 7/1 are open. One can also see several ladyboys on 7/1... Soi Nana on November 1st: https://youtu.be/tbHjNi2sTsQ (Getting interesting from around 5:00 onward...) Robin Hood Bangkok is open again: Media from social networks (FB, Twitter, YT)
  18. I did a quick Alexa search: https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/ladyboyreview.com and was surprised to see http://bangkok-infoguide.com/ and www.ladyboyspattaya.com being the main referral websites for this forum: If my interpretation of the audience overlap is correct, this forum has roughly the same audience as the other four ladyboy forums:
  19. Papa Sam

    Chaos 9 Soi 4

No update on their FB page the last couple of days ... Ex Chaos 9 girls are currently reminiscing about the good old times they had at C9. For example Cherry. She's still in Bangkok and posted the following two pictures on her social media accounts today: Manaow too: Same same Peace: Unlike Peace and Manaow, elegant Mai Lee is still in Bangkok: Mok the bartender, is with his family somewhere in Bangkok: Mint is still with C9, had a beer on reopening day on Monday it seems:
  20. Currently causing a bit of a stir on Thai social media: A crowd of, apparently, tourists walking around Phuket's Patong Beach area, most of them not wearing a mask: https://fb.watch/92ceJmuFU1/
  21. Only 10% of businesses since the start of the pandemic were able to remain open on KSR, or in other words, around 90% of shops on KSR Khao San Road are closed indefinitely, writes this news outlet! Through the grapevine one can hear that many restaurants in BKK were surprised by the "last minute" requirement by gov to have an SHA certificate ready for inspection. Niall has done a pub crawl on reopening day in Bangkok: https://youtu.be/jveg-ftlD-Q Margarita Storm, Lek's Last Stand, Robin Hood Bangkok (all on Sukhumvit), the Black Swan, and Scruffy Murphy's (Soi 23) are among those open already! https://www.facebook.com/257964550994339/posts/3044785908978842/
