Are you sure ? I never carry ID anywhere unless I'm planning to go to the bank or fly somewhere etc etc . I've crossed the border many times , been asked for ID told them I don't carry it and never had a question asked . I don't think its actually a law to carry ID . On the other hand someone told me they were 100% sure a copper could not arrest you without his hat on , unfortunately I found out to my cost this was not true

I agree , I'm certainly no supporter of Stalin and his regime he destroyed the possibilities of real socialism plus he murdered probably more of his own people than Hitler ever did . What is a fact was Hitler made a massive mistake invading Russia especially with the rather inclement winters there and hence was defeated by the Red Army thus losing the war . This is usually played down certainly in the UK where we are told Winston Churchill won it single handedly for the allies .

Next thing you'll be telling us that the Russian Red Army played a significant part in defeating Hitler ............ surely a yarn ?

I always like Temptations but its a little too sensible and bright and modern now and most of the better looking ones seem to have moved on . I must have missed this when I was on holiday . I loved Led Zep (still do) though being a mod I couldn't admit it as they were considered so uncool , rockers/hippies etc . So behind closed doors and pulled curtains the Zeppelin albums got a blast in my room when I was a kid . I loved the mystique that surrounded the band , the album covers (Both Led Zep 4 and Houses of the Holy are shot in Ireland ) and of course the music , I still have every album in mint condition in my collection . My favourite album has to be Physical Graffiti which I bought in the summer of 1983 , the track Down By The Seaside reminds me of that summer ............. My first girlfriend , my first kiss and my first feel of a tit . Oh the memories

Daddy Cool My latest wheeze is instead of ignoring the suit salesmen now when they approach me I pick out the most hideous suit in the window - usually some double breasted two tone sparkly bad boy , ask them could they make it in my size , the answer is of course an excited "Oh yes sir !" I then tell them I'm just nipping off to get some money and I'll be back in ten mins to get measured up .

Some fair points well made brother Pacman . I would say it takes a few trips under our belts to fully learn the ropes . And very true about them spotting the new guy , they can smell blood like a pack of tiger sharks . It does help to have a gang of like minded friends which of course the girls don't like - "You know toooooo mutt !"
