For me it is : arriving at my room, showering, unpacking, and out the door. Straight to 7/11 purchasing my Sim card, walking down to Sunee Plaza, ordering my Kow Mun Gai, then getting stuck into my first carafe of Red, waiting for my meal to arrive, then heading over to "All of Me" ordering Gin & Tonics" meeting up with the best of friends who arrive just before the 9pm and saying out loud, "It doesn't get much better than this".

I know I nearly sang it the first time I walked across the road from the Nana Hotel and entered Nana Entertainment Plaza. My first stop in the sea of madness was the Woodstock Inn (now sadly gone) just for a quiet couple or four beers and a game or two of pool before heading for an evening of mongering. Now sadly I find myself saying that as I sit on my back step and watch the sun dip below the horizon here in France...god I miss all the neon of Thailand!

Ca$h is king. I bring cash. The couple of times where I had to move larger sums, I did so via a bank transfer. My situation is different than most of you guys. I dont stay in a hotel so really dont have to worry about a maid/hotel employee stealing it. You get the best rates by far with cash. The best rates I have seen are at Super Rich. The one I use is right across from the Central World shopping mall. I dont even have an ATM card even in Farangland. I refuse to pay money to access my own money. 180 baht a throw to get money out of a Thai ATM?? What a freaking rip off. Not going to happen to me. Back in Farangland I visit the bank once every two weeks or so, get the cash I need and use that. If I run short, I have a small stash in the condo or I start using the credit card. Easy peasy.

That is fucking class! Reminds me of the time I got pissed with an evangelical American couple in Linda Bar. They tried so hard to show me the errors of my way. Alas, I was beyond redemption. Perverts and child molesters she's looking for??? She should try the Vatican first. Fucking hypocrisy man!!
