Getting From Manila Airport To Angeles City

trooper

Recommended Posts

This will be the first time I'll be taking a bus from Pasay to Angeles City.  I have a few questions. It would be much appreciated if you can help with any of them.

I will be arriving at Terminal 2 of the Manila airport around 11PM with my ultimate destination being an Angeles City hotel.

My plan is to take a taxi to the Victory Liner Bus in Pasay and get of at Dau in Angeles and then a trike to my hotel.  I'll have two pieces of checked luggage and a carryon.

So researching online I see coupon taxis, yellow taxis and other options.  Which is best? How tough is it to get the driver to turn on the meter?  How much should the taxi cost.

I'll be at Pasay about midnight and have read that many opportunists hang around there so I would like to know as much as as possible in advance so I'm not wandering around like a bewildered mark.  It seems that there are many busses with different ultimate destinations that stop at Dau.  Any suggestions as to how to find the right bus?

Once dropped at Dau, how do I find the trikes and how much should I pay to take me to a Fields area hotel?.  I prefer not dealing with guys who accost you the moment you get off the bus.

150 pesos aircon just ask for bus to Dau ...I did have to to pay for extra luggage in the hold (might have been another Bus Company though)

Its a 10 minutes trike ride to most hotels (100 pesos max), easy to find

Thank you Duke007.  I guess the 90P taxi would be White taxis?

No, the white taxis are twice the price of the yellow ones, but you get a coupon with the white ones and apparently are the best 100% safe wise, you get what you pay for... and when in I am in "holiday mode" I dont personally care about about paying the extra ££££'s  :hi:

I've used the yellow taxis several times and never had a problem with the driver using the meter (but I clarify that as soon as I get in.)

If I recall correctly, I was charged 115 pesos from the airport to the Five Star Bus terminal at around 0500 hours.

Not all busses go by Dau now, some stop at Marquee Mall. The drivers/conductors are very helpful, so tell them you want to be let off at Dau. If they don't pass by there, ask them to let you off at the Marquee Mall jeepny terminal. A trike for there to Fields will cost you 250 pesos- so I'm told. A trike for Dau to Fields should be about 100 pesos, depending on your negotiating skills.

Enjoy!

I recently took the Victory liner from Pasay to Dau, the bus was going to Olongapo with Dau as the first drop off. Bus had Olongapo as destination above windscreen but had Dau placard in window on dash in front of driver. Cost 150 which included bag in the hold. Trike should cost 100 -150.

From airport the coupon taxis are white wagons with set price to destination, the Yellow are metered. For a standard white meter taxi you will either have to go upstairs to departures or exit airport to get one.

(Edit of post..Sorry I was referring to terminal 1 for white meter taxi,, as I have not arrived at terminal 2 I am not sure of their location)

i just head to the taxi queue once you get outside, the area where all the masses are there to great their loved ones.  the yellow airport taxies are the easiest.  they will ask you where your going give you a slip with the taxi number and drivers name, just tell the attendant where your going and its easy peasy from there all the yellow airport taxi's use the meter, for me its usually 250-300 from the airport to ermita (around the UN LRT Station)

as for the bus, just keep track of your bags, that sounds like a lot of luggage to keep tabs on

Part of the much-anticipated NAIA expressway will be open for public use beginning midnight on Thursday.

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — The much-awaited expressway to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) will be opened to the public at the stroke of midnight on Thursday.

The first segment of the elevated expressway will link Terminals 1 and 2 in Parañaque to Macapagal Boulevard and PAGCOR Entertainment City in Pasay. It will be free to motorists for the first month.

"This project would effectively improve traffic flow in the area and will cut travel time by at least 60%," Public Works Secretary Mark Villar said in a statement.

A second segment of the expressway is still under construction, but it is slated to open to the public by December. This will connect Terminals 1, 2 and 3 to the Skyway and the South Luzon Expressway.

Villa said construction was being carried out 24 hours a day, seven days a week to ensure the project would meet the deadline.

San Miguel Corp. President Ramon Ang said, "Finally, our countrymen will feel the benefit of having faster and more direct access to NAIA Terminals 1, 2, and 3. It will also go a long way in easing traffic congestion in surrounding cities, and support growth in southern Metro Manila."

San Miguel won the ₱20.45-billion contract to construct and operate the expressway back in April 2013.

The project is expected to benefit 80,000 travellers a day, reducing travel time from the Skyway to Terminal 1 to 8 minutes from 24 minutes.

Once completed, the NAIA expressway will span nearly 15 kilometers, with off-ramps to strategic locations, such as Villamor Airbase, casino complex ResortsWorld, and the Cavite expressway.
