Lefty
It seems to me, it's been taking much less booze to get me totally wasted lately. I could drink 6 or 7 Sangsom and sodas, or White Russians at Corner Bar before, with their famous double shots and then still walk without staggering all the way to Soi 6 and back right after. Now if I have 3-4 single shot Caucasians or Margaritas, I am well into my cups. I find this phenomena confusing... Quote Link to comment
rxpharm
There is a specific enzyme in the body that metabolizes (clears) alcohol from the system called alcohol dehydrogenase. It is likely that this enzyme is losing its ability to clear the alcohol from your system and you are becoming less tolerant to its effects. 1 Quote Link to comment

KenW
As I age I'm finding an increasing tolerance to alcohol. When I was young my mother was wrathful and vexed at the amount I drank. Some wives and girlfiends of my mates were gobsmacked at the amount we used to drink. During my professional career my bosses and employers sometimes objected to the amount I drank (even though I never failed to deliver for them, never once). Then I retired. My mother died. I never see any mates these days. Those around me now couldn't give a rat's arse that I'm an old soak. Quote Link to comment
