pdogg
Think most bars not connected with hotels and restaurants won't be serving booze tonight and tomorrow. Some might stay open and not sell booze; we shall see. It's been reported that Check Inn in Bangkok (inside not the also cart) will be open, not sure if serving booze or not. bumblebee
Anyone know if the bars will be selling beer from 6:00 pm today? I have heard they will, maybe Route67 has some inside info.
Snick
Just to piss on everyone , February 14 is a Buddhist holiday and will be dry.
xyzzy
I just went to 7/11. A guy tried to buy a bottle of booze and the girl behind the counter told him to come back at 8 PM. I assume if 7/11 is selling at 8 PM others will be also. A well known sports bar/pub on Soi Buakhao is already selling and was packed. There was more booze available late last night on Buakhao/Dianna than usual for a shutdown. So many places serving out of tea cups that there weren't huge obvious crowds at the places that were serving. Just to piss on everyone , February 14 is a Buddhist holiday and will be dry. Makha Bucha day, this year Feb 14, is always dry but at least one can plan well in advance for that day. http://boomboomme.com/resources/holidays/thailand/ No booze on Valentine's Day. Seems amusing in a strange kind of way.
