  1. I know the Pattaya bars are closed but it's easy enough to find willing ladyboys. Is it unfair to a bargirl to have sex with her in these COVID-19 times? Is it a needless risk to yourself to have sex with a stranger these days? Does it put 3rd parties other than the fucker and fuckee at risk? Is doggy style OK but not missionary with lots of kissing? Pattaya hasn't had even one "reported" case in the last 5 weeks. Most people in Pattaya don't know anyone in Thailand with COVID-19. Most people don't even know anyone who knows anyone in Thailand with it. In Pattaya it doesn't feel like a risk although kissing is probably best avoided. I would think the airplane ride to Thailand is riskier than bargirl sex. What do you guys think?

  4. Was under the impression that Hollywood would give it a R rating compared to PG-13 for LBWVB. From what I recall there was some sort of problem between the bars involving a watermelon game in the pool.
  5. He speculates that some bars might re-open on June 15th or maybe before.
  6. With the bars closed, the lively, cheery atmosphere of Treetown is where people are headed. There have been zero new reported COVID-19 cases for a month now in Pattaya so many people feel the risk is lower than getting hit by a baht bus and are itching to get out and about. Nick mentions that there is speculation that open air beer bars could open in June. He also mentioned Nidcha Bar saying he is sure some of his viewers like the joint.
  7. No need to talk by phone. If she posts a pic of her food on Facebook then it's just like being at the same table.
  8. 400,000 baht to build a small wooden house. Seems fair enough.

    Coronavirus

There is a list of countries from which travellers are not admitted to Thailand. Almost every country is on the list . China and South Korea was just removed from the list. However, international flights into Thailand are banned until the end of the month except for repatriated Thais who must quarantine, cargo, and some very limited exceptions which will not affect the general public. Today was another day of no new cases reported in Thailand. Most new cases are repatriated Thais. There will be pressure from business interests to reopen the borders. The military tends to be socially conservative and I suspect that they will clamp down on prostitution in the name of social distancing. Much of the economy is reopening tomorrow. They had floated the idea of foot massage being permitted but that will probably have to wait until June 1st. The beaches are still closed probably until June 1st. Starting tomorrow, the curfew starts at 11PM instead of 10PM as workers in reopened businesses have to get home. When you enter a 7/11 an employee takes your temperature (you don't have to bring your own KY) and there is a sanitiser. One 7/11 employee was daydreaming and sprayed sanitiser into a lady's eyes instead of taking her temperature. Some sexy dancers have now taken jobs to shimmy up trees and cut durian.
  10. Last night looking from my balcony sometime after midnight it appeared that the police caught a Thai curfew violator, confiscated his motobike and made him walk home. Also on Buakhao at 11:40 PM last night, the police gave chase to farang in a car and eventually stopped and arrested him for violating curfew.

    Coronavirus

Pattaya is really safe. No new cases in 4 weeks albeit with limited testing. This might be the safest time all year to order in from Thai Friendly as it is doubtful that Pattaya can keep new cases at zero once the economy opens up and people return to Pattaya from other provinces. I was reading on Bloomberg, that Bumrungrad is taking a big financial hit as two thirds of their revenue if from foreigners. They might try to reinvent themselves as a high end quarantine center. According to the article their most foreign patients are from Burma, UAE, and Kuwait. I guess Burma doesn't have any good hospitals and the generals go to Bangkok instead. I would think that the UAE and Kuwait would have good high end hospitals but I am guessing very expensive so better to fly to Bangkok.
  12. Lisa, the Buri Ram hottie in BlackPink the most popular KPOP girl band, is receiving death threats confirms the Thai Embassy in Seoul.
  13. For a short while I lived on Koh Lanta and know it quite well. Woody, If you are thinking of going there, suggest that you PM me before booking a place to stay. The big informational Koh Lanta websites are a good starting point But caveat emptor. Khlong Khong beach sounds pretty good from the description below. Slightly more honest is the review below from another website The reality is that at high tide it's an ugly beach and at low tide it is utterly appalling, the worst beach I've ever seen. If you are staying on Lanta, I would recommend Long Beach aka Phra Ae. But there are variations between North Long Beach, Central Long Beach, and South Long Beach. These three areas are separated by estuaries which depending on the time of the year and the time of the month, just like a woman, can be easy to cross or slightly more problematic. During the day easy enough to navigate but if you are stumbling home drunk doable but not ideal. Then there is a fourth area the very small extreme south of Long Beach that I wouldn't recommend. Northern Long Beach has the most active nightlife. Central Long Beach has a very quiet, beautiful beach. I lived in Southern Long Beach. On the main road the estuaries are a non issue. The main road hugs the western side of the island. You can rent motobikes or if you don't want to drive drunk the main form of taxi transport is a motobike connected to a sidecar that fits about 4 people. Lanta visitors and expats tend to be in their 30's, a mix of divers, digital nomads, muay thai trainees and Swedish families. Phi Phi visitors tend to be in their 20's getting wasted on buckets. Phi Phi is only accessible by boat while Lanta you can take a van over first a car ferry and then a bridge. There is a very small bar and massage P4P area on Lanta that is extremely lame. But a shitty P4P scene is better than none as when some friends visited they wanted to check it out. But if you're with a girlfriend you wouldn't want to bring her to these shitholes for a drink. I liked Lanta but am very hesitant to recommend it to anyone as it is a quiet scene. That said you can find a party any night of the week and in some of the bars you can smoke weed on the beach or order shroom shakes if that's your thing. Lanta is pretty much an asshole free zone (except moi) both local and farang. The locals are friendly Muslims. You can take a ferry from Phi Phi to Lanta so easy enough to do both. Or do Ao Nang also if you want to see different places. If you are going to Phi Phi or Lanta it's best between December and March. These are very seasonal places with many businesses shut down during low season. Strongly suggest that you wait for high season before visiting these places. Not even sure if the ferry to Phi Phi runs during monsoon season.
  14. Will this be shown on BBC 3 or BBC 4?
  15. A soi dog makes Simon Cowell tear up.
  16. I agree. But that would still somewhat undercount COVID-19 deaths as surely auto fatalities will go down with the booze ban.
  17. Busted in Bhoput. 22 farang and Thai were arrested at La Bohemia, a seaside bar/restaurant for drinking and mingling violating the Emergency Decree. A much gentler operation than the massive raid 5 years ago.
  18. How about this one? Curfew violators were packed together in a dog cage! Don't mess with Duterte But if you're a bakla you don't get caged. Instead you have to do a sexy dance and tongue kiss each other.
  19. How far down BBG? Is it a numbered soi?
  20. They have drones flying over the beaches. A drone found a few farang hiding under the trees on the beach and then the SWAT team on the right moved in for the arrest. I hear quite soon they will be rolling out an app to trace people's movements. They are also talking about regular testing for six high risk groups, one of which are pubs, bars, and other entertainment venues. The numbers in Thailand look good. For example it's been 27 days since the last new case in Pattaya. That could just be a function of lack of testing. Maybe it's better to look at the death rate per million of population. Thailand has one of the lowest death rates in the world, less, than 1 per million. But some COVID-19 deaths might be attributed to other causes. For example I read somewhere, sorry can't find the source, that pneumonia deaths in Thailand are up significantly this year. If those additional pneumonia deaths were really COVID-19 then the death rate would be about 5 per million. Let's say there were 5000 extra deaths that aren't in the official numbers then it would be around 50 per million. To put that in perspective Spain and Italy are over 500 deaths per million population and the UK is almost 500. So why so low in Thailand? Perhaps poor reporting. Maybe the hot climate. Perhaps government action. My guess is a combination thereof.
  21. Is that Jomtien Soi 6 or is there even a better place for dodgy massages?
