If you are going to go for a dodgy massage, I doubt you will ever be safer than now. Zero new cases except for repatriated Thais (now in quarantine) in the last two weeks in all of Thailand. IMO the massage is probably safer than riding your bike to get there. My guess is that you are probably less likely to get a STD now than in the past or in the future. Thailand will be less safe once the border reopens. Everything in life carries an element of risk. So to me it's mimimizing risk to the level where one feels comfortable. I would think that sucking off a ladyman would be safer than kissing her or riding on the BTS. Katty Bar is safer than Marine Disco. I'm by no means a throw caution to wind type of guy. I press elevator buttons with my elbow if not wearing a sandwich shop glove. But I think there is a miniscule chance of my getting corona in Pattaya if I just avoid the very riskiest behavior. The riskiest behavior I permit is letting the Thai monitor touch my phone to help me when using the Line app to check in and out of venues but I have that pretty much figured out now. It's been two months since I've had any booze. Bars are closed. Restaurants are not serving booze and I'm not one to drink at home alone. Can't say that I miss it and nice to never have a hangover. When the bars open, I'll drink again but since I feel so great by not drinking will probably wind up drinking less. Think the ice bucket is the way to go for me or perhaps an occasional club soda mixed in after a couple beers. It's probably easier to start a new habit after 3 months of bar closures. But I am looking forward to my first cold brewski when Katty reopens!

Pre-Covid, he found a very good deal snagging a pool condo for 6K. He seems to spend more on food than I do. I guess his "Leisure" category is primarily booze and ladies which can very greatly from person to person. He owns his own motobike which means that housing that is somewhat inconvenient on foot would be OK if one is comfortable riding a moto in Pattaya. Without a motobike, you probably don't want to be too far from a baht bus.

Thailand is so Covid free that the idea is being floated to reschedule Songkran for this July.

Why is northfacing cooler than southfacing? I thought if you face the east you get morning sun and if you face the west you get afternoon sun. Where I'm living now faces south if Pattaya Klang is north of Pattaya South. But probably not even close to due north. The hottest time in my apartment was between 3PM and 4PM as the sun gets lower. But in May it is not as hot anymore as it was in the supposedly cool months of December and January. Guess it has to do with the seasonal tilt of the Earth or some other factor that I'm not aware of.

Was looking at units for sale looking for 1 bedrooms available for Foreign Ownership. There are also condos available with Thai ownership and the somewhat dubious Company Ownership. Park Lane has a 36 sq meter, 1 bedroom, Foreign Ownership unit for 1.2 million baht. Like many Jomtien condos a bit of a walk from Jomty 2nd Road. I expect the real estate market to decline further as Jomtien was already over built prior to Coronavirus. Don't know much about Park Lane and have never walked there but the pool looks appealing.
