  1. Waltz - Linda Bar on Walking street, no pressure at all
  2. This is a bit off the subject, BUT. Relax, the Vietnam war is over and I dont feel responsible for keeping any bar in business nor should anybody else. The bars are there to make a buck than and now and I dont love them or hate them, some i like better than others and i spend my money in some of them to have a good time. Hookers will go where the money is, US service men or not (see South America) Just like Kahuna said, the hookers came and the bars followed using LB's and GG's for theire profit and that is why I feel more generous towards the ladyboys than the bars
  3. Here we go again. It's a subject that is very dependant on culture and time. Even in todays time it is looked upon verry differently by Moslems, Asians and us in the west. Even in our western world there are large differences on how this is judged. Just go from South America and Europe to the very narrow mindid US. Historicly, The old Greeks, Romans and Agyptians did see nothing wrong with it, even considered it a service to the gods.
  4. This is getting back to the subject of Safety. Once I find somebody interesting (freelancer) I like to find out who am I dealing with and a good way to do this is to spend some time together prior to getting to the loom. A restaurant is a good neutral place and you can talk without loud music and if your gut feeling warns you of potential problems its easy to bail out. In addition I do enjoy this time "getting to know each other" and it makes what follows so much better. The quick run upstairs to the ST room in a bar does not measure up. No, I dont think I will take an unknown girl from Coconut Bar to a ST room, that I consider s bit too risky
  5. How is he going to find Tukcom without a Thai GPS in the first place ???????
  6. TMac - beach rd leads to walking street and 2nd rd leads AWAY from walking street paralel to beach rd. Nr 1 Bar is on soi 10 and soi 10 is on the right side of 2nd rd when you go in the direction of the traffic. One block past soi Honey (soi 11) or 3 blocks past soi Diana.
  7. Dixon cox - I like the way you put it. I dont come to Thailand to support bars, I come for the ladyboys and it does not matter where I find them, bars, beachroad, walking street or shop. The bar fine does not even enter here. By the way, if the term freelancers includes everybody other than bar girls its a lot of territory in addition to beach road like dating sites, restaurants, contacts from other FM's etc. The term Cheap Charly does not neccesarily apply either because I would probably spend moe money on diiner etc prior to taking the freelancer to my room. But everybody should do what he is comfortable with.
  8. Chemistry and interaction, if thats no there I go home alone. Oh, yeah dont forget tits and ass a femboy does not do it for me
  9. When I look up at the wires stretched along the roads and houses I am surprised it does not happen more often !!
  10. Back to the subject of massage. Is there any recent info as to where Kookai of the former Ratree Massage is now. Ratree Massage does not exist anymore !
  11. By the way , Galaxy SIII has a biger screen AND is faster than the I-pone5
  12. Seven - I disagree and if you look at the different reviews you will find the same disagreement. The Galaxy is certainly compareable to the i-phone. It seems to boil down to personal preference, there are people who swear by theire i-phone and there are people who would not even considere to exchange theire Galaxy for an I-phone. My girlfriend has a Galaxy and her twin sister has an i-phone, both are more than happy with what they have and would not change and they do compare the phones. And dont disregard MBK, the statement that MBK sells only copies is false, but by all means do check the Samsung stores at Central in Pattaya and at Terminal 21 top floor in BKK.
  13. You might want to look at the galaxy S plus as well, runs about 12000 baht. There is not that much of a difference between the various Galaxy models as far as every day uses are concerned, Looks, feel and screen size is the same, only if you will need to use ALL of the facilities of the phones to the full extend will you see a difference. As far as the i-phones are concerned, I just dont like Apple.
  14. I believe the unlocked galaxy 2 runs at just under 15000 baht,That was about 3 months ago at MBK and might be cheaper now. I have the Galaxy S (same size screen) and I am perfectly happy with it.
  15. Well Panicos, I it's going to be an other 51 days until I get back to Pats, so be patient. However, once I get there I will keep you up to date as promised. Good to see you are keeping busy
  16. Panicos - I thought that the one in Turkey's post #72 would be just your type, dont you like a bit of a challenge after all those stunners you have been showing us
  17. Sure, but will they be working ??? See Lung's accident report !!!
  18. Good for you Duke, but can you last for the whole time you will be in pats.
  19. I agree, to get a metered cab ride from pat pong in the evening is nearly impossible. For cab rides to and from the airport to Sukhumvit I normaly offer 400 Baht including toll and never had a driver argue or refuse, if we run into bad traffic I may give an additional tip. As far as drivers insisting on NO METER rides I suspect it has to do with drivers having to rent the cars and only getting a fraction of the meter price while being able to pocket all the money on NO METER rides ?
  20. Recently I read on Bangkok post that the same happened to a Thai doctor up in Chiang Mai and that the Thai police is very much aware of this and is looking for known girls. However, the police find it difficult to catch those girls since they are moving from city to city. So, no surprise that this scam is showing up in BKK and I would not be surprised if it happens in Pats. The drug being used is of Chinese origin. Bax has it right, shower first. Drugs or no drugs, would you like to suck on some tits an other punter has just sucked on ??
  21. Somebody covered Amsterdam, Paris, Rome and Spain already, but I want to add Rio de Janeiro with beautiful beaches, beautiful women (andLB's) and great food, a relaxing place with welcoming people and lots of attractions not too far away. Next would be Sao Paulo, Brazil an other LB paradise and not to forget Mexico City. For scenery I would add the area between Munich, Insbruck, Bozen and Meran. For history Verona. In Buenos Aires both food and LB's are amazing.

    The Game

The point I am trying to make is, dont disregard possible longer term relationships in Thailand, They can be rewarding. BUT KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN. Dont make it a game and dont promise or imply something you dont intend to keep. Last but not least remember that love has a different meaning in Thailand than what we are used to.

    The Game

DT- Good posts and yes it can happen. I am well past 50 and fairly cynical about love and particular about Thai love. However I do have a non P4P GG Thai girlfriend now for over 2 years. It's an amazing experience and I would not want to miss it. Yes, I give her money, an amount about equal to what I would spend mongering, she does not ask for it. I do have to remind myself constantly that she may have an ulterior motive but sofar this has not surfaced. No, I will not be her source of income nor am I husband material and I made that clear to her, but like I said above I do value and enjoy this relationship with both eyes open.

    The Game

SiamS - You made my point, we are loved for the money we provide. I asked my GG girlfriend of 2 years what are your priorities and she answered: 1- my parents, 2- you, 3- money. I enjoy every minute with her and i do provide for her and I have to say that no women back home ever treated me as nice as she. She or her parents never asked for 1 baht from me, however I have no illusions that in case of parential request money would not move to 2nd place. Just as you correctly pointed out there are substantial cultural differences. Yes, as Duke said and I agreed there are exceptions, My above post are more for the Newwbies who easily could fall in love but do not know Thailand who should be watching their hearts more than their wallets and for anybody thinking about marriage and taking a LB or GG back home
  25. I stayed recently in both the Nirvana Boutique and the Boathouse, I liked both. The Boathouse is right on Beachroad close soi 8, a bit cheaper, no lift but has balcony and safe and a full restaurant
