  1. I’d argue that in a ladyboy establishment propitiously named “Anaconda”, customers could rightfully expect to find talent equipped with kielbasas rather than cocktail sausages :p D.

Then, you'd be called a "southpaw" in the States; "commie pinko southpaw" from the right, "progressive right-handedly challenged" from the left :) D.
  3. I agree. I know the Cantonese well and they're better at making money than anyone else on Earth (or at least they're far more numerous than any other group of equal skills); but this in and out of itself is not necessarily a negative trait. I could have used a Cantonese wife in my life, I suppose :) D.
  4. This is Asia. Not everything is like it appears. Maybe they're rounding up the dogs for food, in case things get really bad :diablo: Just kidding of course... But am I? D.

Your explanation of "gauche" is correct: it means either "left" or "clumsy". Your labeling of Mr. Lefty as "Gauche" is inappropriate however; the proper translation of "lefty" is "gauchiste" in this case (ie "politically on the left"). If his monicker were refering to him as being left-handed, then he would be a "gaucher". I think therefore that we are dealing here with Mr. Gauchiste. Of course, he could be a gauchiste who is gauche because he's a gaucher :p D
  6. People I know who worked on the Mainland are either enthusiastic or very negative. Based on what I already know (good and bad), I can believe both. I think that it may also depends on the lenght of time people lived there. D.
  7. Can you expand on that? Just really curious to see if some of my hunches and beliefs are correct. I had opportunities to work there that I passed on, based on what I know first-hand, and what people who worked there told me (not all of it was bad). I haven't been to China, but my experience with Chinese people is extensive (including working under Chinese bosses) but it has all been in the West, with both HK Cantonese and Mainland Chinese. I like them and the culture in many ways, but I do have some prejudices based on various negatives experiences; usually the type of things were you catch people dropping the mask inadvertently. Lots of it boils down that that for the Chinese, if you're not Chinese... you're not Chinese that's all ;)
  8. Hi Hefe. The mod of the Yahoo group was "Oaktoad" on the post ASFO mailing list (but also on the old Usenet list), but I don't know what his alias was on Yahoo. I tried to remember the alias of the HIV guy and I think it's "Bilbo" but I'm not sure 100%. Like you say, some of these things get filed in the back of our brain, or maybe erased altogether. For quite a few years, the list was the only serious game in town information-wise; I sure got good mileage out of it. As for archives, you won't find any because--although a list member kept a private one on the web for a while--the list owner prefered it this way. In retrospect, it's probably a good policy. Here would be a good spot to insert a Latin quotation about the ravages of time ;) In regards to lb forums, by the time I started looking into it ATS was already well established, so Jai Dee historical tour is very interesting. It seems to boil down to a very few serious "hobbyists" putting up the odd board here and there, and natural selection doing the rest. D.
  9. "Any former members here? " Present! :) I had no interest in lb's then, but I remember the lb afficionado you're talking about and he had reported contracting AIDS; we never found out how it ended though. He was neither sober nor prudent however, as you have alluded to; his posts were entertaining but it was like watching a train wreck (like many other stories from so many guys anyway). One of the old-time members was in fact the moderator of the Yahoo Group mentioned by JaiDee ("questionable girls of Thailand") and he took occasional flak on the list for dabbling in lb's; a serious and informed amateur on all counts, that's for sure: always solid advice there. His usenet posts went back to the early 90's, pre-web. [/start grumpy old man voice] When you think of it, the quantity of info has changed, but not necessarily for the better: there is a lot of "noise" out there. [/End grumpy old man voice] D.
  10. This one was very ill advised when she picked out a "nom de guerre", particularly if she intends to use the Internet for advertising (and obviously she is). She might as well have chosen "Lady Gaga" or "Vuitton" for a monicker. A name like "Jane" is almost as bad (too common) but at least she'd get some hits. She's on the right track by using a first and last name though: it works much better for name recognition, differentiation, memorization, and of course search engine hits. D.
  11. I could be wrong, but the face is familiar; wasn't she on one of TheGame's trip reports? D.
  12. Hi. You may have read my post before I edited it then, but I didn't say anything about the ladies being dogs, since my tastes are very eclectic, to say the least :) I was telling DT that if, like me, he occasionally dabbles in older (like 40's and up) high-mileage ladies, there usually are a couple in Toy Bar sitting around during the evenings in that bar, looking on the action as if they've seen it all (and they've probably have). But remembering that this is an LB-oriented site after all, I took it out as "too much information" :) For the rates, I think that they may be justified, taking into account that between the ladies employed at shielding the action from other customers, and the one(s) working on the punter, these are labor-intensive bj/hj's :) For tit lovers (and who isn't?) in Afterskool, regardless of personel turnover, another observation is that there are always--always!--several girls with huge hard-as-rock tits, and they're not silly cones (to borrow from Kahuna); I know because fake ones have the same effect on me than garlic on vampires :) I'm glad I'm not the only one to like the place around here...
  13. In that case, you can also put Toy Bar on your list (on the opposite side of the street in SC). It's a diddle bar similar to Afterskool, but not as good in my view (but you know how it comes and goes). Toy Bar is or used to be open early afternoon if that strikes your fancy. You can get a little crowd of them to work on you in the back. It's usually very quiet in the afternoon, with only a couple of regulars customers sipping a drink at the bar; or at least that's my experience. I can't comment on the cost of getting blown in the bar (it's not my bag) but for diddling be prepared to invest in lady drinks and drop a few 100 notes here and there, and you'll get your money's worth. I like SC, but I agree with what has been said about lb bars, the walk of shame and so on; it would never work with that setup. D.
  14. I ain't EyeMahk, but you could do a lot worse than checking out Afterskool. It's a "diddle" bar with a "naughty corner" if you want a bj or hj in-house. Never had a bad time or barfine there, and I started frequenting it well over 10 years ago. Just writing the name of the place puts a smile on my face :) Also, there are (or were) a few LB's on SC, but most were posties posing as women to catch the unwary punter (in Midnite bar for instance) and in my view this is bad juju all around. D.
  15. Wouldn't that be a negative turn of events, considering that this is a "diddle bar" and a "loungey" decor helps? :) D.
  16. Aargh! It was on my list of things to do before I die It will be interesting to see where the talent will find a new home. Release the hounds! D.
  17. Hi. Thanks for the info. So if it can be bought at the Minimart in PP, I suppose that it's probably the same deal in BKK and not worth bringing back as a gift. I think that it would cost more than $12.50 to buy it duty-free in the States. D.
  18. Slightly off-topic--but not too much... If you want to bring a carton (10-packs or 20 packs?) of off-duty cigarettes as a gift for a Thai smoker, is there a brand that is much sought after (US or British)? In some countries, a carton of Marlboro's or Camels is appreciated. Or are these brands so cheap in Thailand that it's not worth bothering? I don't smoke so I have no idea on prices or taste. I know that at my end a carton of off-duty Camels was about US$33 last time I picked one up for a friend at the airport. Regarding booze, I know that they drink so-called Thai whisky, but with the same idea as above, would a Thai boozer appreciate a Western whisky? I'm not talking about really fine stuff, more like something like Johnny Walker, al recognizable brand. Again, no idea there either on local prices or taste. Thanks Dabbler
  19. I had never thought of the "going back to work too soon" as a factor, but it makes sense. I agree with the commercial factor driving these things. For the rest it's a question of taste: I wouldn't argue on that. D.
  20. Hi Pacman. I love tits, but I find the fake ones--on women or men--as attractive as a wooden leg, so I can affirm that I'm not the guy ruining the tit jobs by squeezing them. I'll say however, that the tit jobs invariably ruin perfectly serviceable femboys :) An appropriate song: Dabbler
  21. Hey Duke. I'll be frank: I'm not Frank, whoever he is (I have only a vague idea) :) D.
  22. Well, that was the idea anyway, but I have actually hinted at on this thread, and yes, as I hope to put down my bag here, I'd rather see the old alias buried. Nothing to lose by letting it on though. Most guys won't even recognize it and we can leave it at that. Off with the old and in with the new... :) D.
  23. You are good. But you know too much. Orders will be given, and minions dispatched.
