  1. Not getting darker is a big deal especially with the females. In Thailand it is difficult to find a skin moisturizer/lotion that doesn't include a whitener.
  2. I'm not sure this is any better but it gave me something to do...

    Airfares

FWIW I recently booked a trip for US$847 out of Seattle. Not sure how much $$$ and effort it takes you to get to Seattle. Korean and Asiana have good prices that I often only find on their web sites. Many don't show up on Kayak, etc. I see Seattle-BKK US$936 R/T in November and US$894 in January. YVR-BKK R/T is $400-$500 more although the two airports are only 203 km apart, very strange. I have no idea where you are in Canada and maybe it's a hassle to go to Seattle but FWIW.
  4. Maya is a good time unless you play pool against here. Then she will kick your ass.
  5. Subic City , Calapandayan You may have more up to date info than I but Players closed some time ago, reopened with another name and closed again. Kinky's maybe the most famous bar now. If you visit from spring to typhoon season the floating bars are also fun.
  6. I can just hear the girls on Soi 6 now "Hello chocolate man"...
  7. You should look at them funny and wonder why anyone would take a normal vacation in the P4P capital of the world...
  8. It's really quite simple. Any small soi going off a main road has a number. Those numbers can be the same number as other small sois running off other main roads. Although some sois running between two main roads sometimes have a different soi number at each end and change numbers somewhere in the middle. I hope that clears it up. That is why many sois have been give names by farangs like Soi Diana and Soi Honey. The system is a phucking mess. You sort of get use to it after a while.
  9. I assume that would be the next Soi north of Soi Honey. http://www.pattayaph...m/?V8vRUdMrkcXC EDIT: OOPs BB beat me to it in the new bar thread.
  10. I did a little snooping on a GG site and the place gets decent reviews. Someone complained that the elevator/lift sometimes doesn't work. Apparently they were closed most of August and did pretty much a total refurbish. I've walked past the place on Soi Honey a zillion times but never went in. 11. All Pattaya bars are not created equal. It's not unusual for a beer bar girl to go for 500ST-1000 LT (not including bar fine). Although 700ST-1200LT happen also. Short time on Soi 6 700 not including the room. As you go to more upscale bars prices tend to get higher. More like 1200-2000LT. There might be at least one GoGo where they often ask for more than 2000 (it will remain nameless). Generally everything costs more on Walking Street. In the good old days, all of five years ago, you could take a girl from a beer bar and give her 500ST-1000LT without ever discussing the price. That was just the norm back then. IMO these days it's best to makes sure both parties have an agreement before leaving the bar.
  12. I usually avoid the Coconut Bar/Beach Road girls in Pattaya although I have picked up there before. In BKK I enjoy working my way though the little sidewalk bars that pop up at night on Sukhumvit. By far my best girl last trip came from a BKK street bar down near Robinson's. Regardless of where I get my girls my valuables go into the safe when I get back to the room. And my laptop that usually won't fit the safe is locked to a piece of furniture with a locking cable.
  13. UGH! Reminds me of one time two years ago when I was at the now defunct Pink Panther Bar just off Soi Buakhao. After getting tired of waiting for the water to recede I took off walking south. None of the baht buses would stop as they had charged people big money for a private ride. In some spots the water was almost up to my knees. I trudged through the water and stopped for a refreshment break at Pook Swan then continued. Soi Buakhao was not flooded south of Soi Diana as most of the water turned downhill toward the ocean on Soi Diana. There was suppose to be a planned fix for Soi Buakhao but probably never happened.

    The Bangkok Times

Since the driver is a falang he will be at fault and responsible for all damages.
  15. Damn that mythical guy sure is vendictive.
  16. I have a few friends that mostly seem to make their pick based on the highlighted word above.
  17. In the GG bars you do pay in advance the total amount for the girl's service. To Thailand guys this sounds like a bad idea. But if I flat out ask the girls if they will stay all night and live up to certain agreed upon actions I've had little problems with runners (girls who leave early). But it is best to discuss all the expectations in this environment. However tipping for good service still usually occurs on a LT. A few years ago 200-300p would be a good tip. Probably more like 500p these days if the service is great I suppose. But it is up to you, tipping is not required. Many bars charge the same for a ST as a LT. So tipping is not so common for ST. I would expect a LB from a bar to be the same. But you are not going to find a lot of bars with LBs in AC. Maybe the few hosto bar or some little bar somewhere. But don't expect LB bars like in Thailand.
  18. I wonder if it is good or bad to be first in line...
  19. Sorry I'm such a bitch. Take a ride to Pattaya and back to BKK when arriving/leaving, go to stay a few days in BKK and return to Pattaya, fly to Phuket, or Angeles City, or Phnom Penh, bus to Hua Hin (yawn). It boring as hell as I know the road too well. Now made slightly worse by some flights going out of Don Muang. Of course after four airports, three flights and about 24-27 hours it's nice to arrive anywhere. It's good to take a shit on a stationary toilet.
  20. Not in the beginning. Wikipedia: The first official Ryder Cup took place in 1927 at Worcester Country Club, in Massachusetts, USA. These early matches between the United States and Great Britain remained fairly even. It was not until the competition's resumption after the Second World War that repeated American dominance led to a decision, initiated by Jack Nicklaus, to extend the representation to continental Europe from 1979. The Republic of Ireland was officially included in the British team of 1973. While other Irish players had competed since 1953 and Northern Irish players since 1947.
  21. I flew into U-Tapao (UTP) once from Phuket via Saumi on BKK Air. It was a pleasant change of pace from Swampy. I am so tired of making that drive from Swampy to Pattaya. The Russians get to fly into UTP. Many of their charter flights use the airport. BKK Air charges 11,000 baht for a BKK-Siem Reap round trip if you get their lowest fare. Many tourists will likely travel to UTP for the savings. Optimistically BKK Air would lower their prices. But I still think it will be interesting to see if flying monkey can actually make this route happen. I do hope so.
  22. Don't mean to be a killjoy but only go to the water festival if you really really like crowds. http://articles.cnn....dge?_s=PM:WORLD
  23. They will need serious political pull to end BKK Air's Thai monopoly to SR. Here is an article from the Phnom Penh Post: http://www.phnompenh...o-take-off.html
