    Coronavirus

I'm afraid thats already reality. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/blog/2020-12-10-covid-live-updates-vaccine-news-n1250668/ncrd1250813#blogHeader More people in U.S. have died from Covid-19 than were killed in WWII More people in the United States have died this year from Covid-19 than were killed in four years of fighting on the battlefields during World War II, according to the latest NBC News data. The death toll from the pandemic as of Thursday afternoon was 292,098 and counting, the figures show. By contrast, U.S. forces suffered 291,557 “battle deaths” during the Second World War, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Same girl. Colombia maybe if Thailand don't open the f**k up!
  6. My opinion as well. Anyone can buy an expensive camera and set up fancy lightning in a studio, but catching that very special moment is a different story. BB is the best photographer in our community. (BBG as a close runner up.)
  7. I'll take all three of those. Yes, same here.
  8. To be honest, I'm not too surprised hearing that. Oh well. What an accomplishment in life to be on top of that board.
  9. Let's not forget Emmys bar was voted Best bar in Pattaya last year. Or was it this year?

    China

I know. I'm not too hopeful though. The future is conservative. Exactly. These people are probably the only ones more horny for money than thais. But its our own fault, we buy their shit made in sweat shops to keep the middle class happy.
  11. Finally we agree on something, duke I know you also think Zlatan is the greatest player alive after the greatest ever left us recently. No problems , we have to agree to disagree most other times

Agreed. There has to be consequences, hopefully legal too. I have completely stopped buying China made shit. If you really make an effort it can be done, you don't have to consume their shit products.

Capitalism 'will collapse on itself' without more empathy and love: Scott Galloway https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/capitalism-will-collapse-on-itself-without-empathy-love-scott-galloway-120642769.html The coronavirus pandemic accelerated drastic economic changes that were already underway. And one expert warns that it’s threatening the future of the free market system. “We are barreling towards a nation with three million lords being served by 350 million serfs,” NYU Stern School of Business professor Scott Galloway told Yahoo Finance Live. Galloway, the outspoken New York Times best selling author, addresses these themes in his latest book, Post Corona: From Crisis to Opportunity. Specifically, he explores who the winners and losers will be following the COVID-19 pandemic and suggests ways people can prevent a future that threatens to leave millions behind economically. “We don't like to say this out loud, but I feel as if this pandemic has largely been invented for taking the top 10% into the top 1%, and taking the rest of the 90% downward,” Galloway said. But he points out that while the two largest asset classes in America — real estate and the stock market — are at all time highs, “80% of those assets by value are owned by the top 10%” of the population. Galloway agrees that government efforts to save businesses and financial markets worked during the pandemic. But there has been little, he says, to help people at the bottom of the economic ladder. “We've decided to protect corporations, not people. Capitalism is literally collapsing on itself unless it rebuilds that pillar of empathy,” which Galloway says in turn supports capitalism.
  14. I usually agree with you , JSG, but here i disagree. Buying drinks (water in some cases when they're caught) online truly is just that, beyond stupid. Just my opinion. And yes, I have been to Thailand. If I want to help a lb friend I wire some baht instead. I have actually done so alot lately. Fuck Xmas and all that other commercial BS., I rather help a few LBs out while we wait to get back into Thailand. While I respect Jimbo and Sweethearts owners efforts to make money during corona, its just not for me.

I don't attend any of these places. Kinda hard to argue with the travel restrictions reading this. It doesn't mention blowing a Soi 6 ladyman, but I think its safe to say we can add that one to the list as well. 7/11 Stamps

Ok, thanks. Yeah, we need more 7/11 stores now. Don't take my word for it, but Ive heard that each new 7/11 store , will have their own exclusive stamp promotion. Meaning you need to visit each and every new store in order take part of the campaign.

Hmm, I' m confused now. I know of the ancient 7/11 on the corner. The new one in the pic is 40 yards into Dongtan, you say. How can it be 1.5 km into Pratumnak beach? Or is there really a third one in there somewhere? Please explain.
  22. Will there be any meal? Ballons? Asking for a Pattaya resident friend.

    Coronavirus

Oppps. Maybe its not only dirty farangs who will spread infection in Thailand. Growing fears over Thai coronavirus cluster from Myanmar A coronavirus cluster in Thailand grew to 10 on Wednesday amid fears scores of other Thai women connected to a hotel in a notorious Myanmar border town could be infected and may attempt to return home under the radar. Health authorities in Bangkok were holding emergency talks on Wednesday night, an official said. Thailand has managed to contain Covid-19 infections to just over 4,000 cases. Its Achilles heel is an extremely porous 2,400-kilometre (1,500-mile) border that it shares with Myanmar, where the virus is rampant, with more than 1,000 new cases a day in recent months. https://www.yahoo.com/news/growing-fears-over-thai-coronavirus-152636181.html Thailand tracking 200 people as infected returnees skip COVID-19 quarantine https://www.yahoo.com/news/thailand-tracking-200-people-infected-071757781.html BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand was racing to track down about 200 people in its northern provinces on Monday to stop a potential coronavirus outbreak, after three Thai nationals entered the country illegally from Myanmar and tested positive days later. Three women bypassed immigration checks and entered via natural border crossings last Tuesday and Friday, skipping the mandatory quarantine for new arrivals, Chiang Rai provincial governor Prachon Pratsakul said.
