rxpharm, sorry. Daily COVID Deaths in Sweden Hit Zero, as Other Nations Brace for More Lockdowns Sweden isn't in the news much these days. There's a reason for that. https://fee.org/articles/daily-covid-deaths-in-sweden-hit-zero-as-other-nations-brace-for-more-lockdowns/ One country not making much news is Sweden. Despite these criticisms, Sweden’s laissez-faire approach to the pandemic continues today. In contrast to its European neighbors, Sweden is welcoming tourists. Businesses and schools are open with almost no restrictions. And as far as masks are concerned, not only is there no mandate in place, Swedish health officials are not even recommending them. What are the results of Sweden’s much-derided laissez-faire policy? Data show the 7-day rolling average for COVID deaths yesterday was zero (see below). As in nada. And it’s been at zero for about a week now. Even a year ago, it was clear the hyperbolic claims about “the Swedish catastrophe” were false; just ask Elon Musk (also see: here, here, and here). But a year later the evidence is overwhelming that Sweden got the pandemic mostly right. Sweden’s overall mortality rate in 2020 was lowerthan most of Europe and its economy suffered far less. Meanwhile, today Sweden is freer and healthier than virtually any other country in Europe. As much of the world remains gripped in fear and nations devise new restrictions to curtail basic freedoms, Sweden remains a vital and shining reminder that there is a better way.

Why not? I knew there are ladymen in Indonesia. Man with coronavirus disguises as wife on Indonesian flight https://www.yahoo.com/news/man-coronavirus-disguises-wife-indonesian-074415113.html TERNATE, Indonesia (AP) — An Indonesian man with the coronavirus has boarded a domestic flight disguised as his wife, wearing a niqab covering his face and carrying fake IDs and a negative PCR test result. But the cover didn't last long. Police say a flight attendant aboard a Citilink plane traveling from Jakarta to Ternate in North Maluku province on Sunday noticed the man change the clothes in the lavatory. “He bought the plane ticket with his wife’s name and brought the identity card, the PCR test result and the vaccination card with his wife’s name. All documents are under his wife’s name,” Ternate police chief Aditya Laksimada said after arresting the man upon landing. He was only identified by his initials. Police took him for a COVID-19 test, which came back positive.

Horrible. Why used condoms in box? To use them again? I hope you have an alibi, BBG the mask dodger doesn’t count.

Great post, Rom. It will never be the same. Many trips later its so obvious. I'm too old now to discover new hunting grounds but even if I had the stamina I doubt I could find another place similar to Pattaya. Sweet memories. I hope we can get back there and if only 50% of all the nice ladymen pre covid would still be there I'd be happy. I want to revisit Bkk again, a place I deliberately skipped the last few trips. I can't stand noise pollution, crowds, traffic and all the other old-man symptoms anymore. Maybe I should just stay home and live on memories.

She's great, its nice of you to post her.

Hey, I resent this. I still wanna sit in my singha beater and cargoshorts nursing a Leo beer for hours watching the world riff raff go by on Soi Buakhao then exploit a third world boy in a skirt for 30 bucks. I like to think I contribute to the thai economy by buying things and using services, or are you saying the vendors and bars are not paying taxes? ( )

I am absolutely not doing that ( much to your disappointment), merely point out the ignorant suggestion that Thailand was spared from covid and 'handled the pandemic well'. I also don't believe there will be a 'completely different situation' if the delta variant spreads. Vaccine and experience from a year of health care will help us cope. I'm so far from being a proud nationalist and realize one countrys success in vaccination is more or less worthless as long as other less fortunate countries struggle with vaccinating their people, like Thailand. In fact I'm not too crazy about the wests grand opening like the recent Euro 2020 in Engerland with pissed up brits behaving like Neanderthals. Nevermind Silverstone F1 yesterday with 140 000 people. We sure have that type of behaviors here as well. We'll see how sensitive this was in a few weeks time, I guess. I have faith in science and vaccines and believe this will help us ( globally) with future virus variants and think we should've waited with the grand opening until more people were vaccinated globally. The fact that Thailand sat on their hands with a smug smile on their face last year is unfortunate but hardly surprising. They're paying a very high price for that now. Lets hope it will not be as bad as Europe, South/North America had. Mask up and hang in there, rxpharm. When more people are vaccinated we can get back to our beloved ladymen.

I didn't know they had as many as 3240 deaths. Imagine the unaccounted. The black sheep of the world Sweden have 14 646 deaths. https://www.yahoo.com/news/thailand-reports-daily-record-10-011158926.html BANGKOK (Reuters) -Thailand is looking to introduce more restrictions on movement as authorities on Saturday reported record numbers of new cases and deaths, despite partial lockdowns in Bangkok and nine other provinces this week. The country's COVID-19 task force reported 10,082 new coronavirus cases and 141 additional deaths, both daily records and bringing total infections to 391,989 cases and fatalities to 3,240 since the pandemic started.

Its on the Bkk site of LBP. Trip reports, username Lenci. He hasn't posted in a long time. Either banned, in jail or dead. He shot a hidden video of a thai lb dressed up as a chinese military and I believe he got in trouble for that. Guy was/is an artist, obviously lost his marbles growing up in China, but very entertaining. I remember one line; some guy gave a smiley or a laughing emoji to one of his post, he answered: 'dont laugh , being chinese is a horrible thing.' -
Youtube is wonderful thing. Just found this guy, Sir Stevo Timothy. Funny as hell.

I'd like to apologize to LBR for participating in this latest debate in this thread. It has no place here although I agree with The Sith. Sorry, LBR-mods.
-
And what’s the reason he can’t do that even though he’s visiting regularly?
-
Yes you did. We're not talking about you or me now, are we? I will not describe you in return, not taking that bait. I am however grateful that you do not post the same type of political propaganda, albeit some spills over to LBR, like you do on PY. Thank you.
