  1. I have been watching the last day of swimming at the Olympics. Anyone who see this and claims masks serve a purpose needs to have a reality check. Masks are on , come off, on again, hugs, kisses, victory cermony, posing for photographs ( mask off for photos), hundreds of swimmers jump in the pool. The danish girl , bronze in women's 50 m freestyle, snogged off her french bf swimmer right after the race , mask on immediately after. Its pathetic really.
  2. Pattaya to re-open september 1. 'Everything will be fine'- sounds like the US president last march , everything will be fine . Thai PM predicts the current covid crisis will be over in 2 to 3 weeks, 4 at the most. The vaccine rollout is not completely smooth. 'Just turn up, you don't have to register, just come along'.

Read the piece and its good, while depressing given the numbers of antivaxxers out there. Thanks. Last line of the article : we're all in this together.
  4. Nice stuff, Rom. You can bet your ass that the copy and paste crossposting reporter will make PY aware of your ideas as some of them have an unpleasant interest for your posts.
  5. Haha, no need. Could be any nationality though. French, Italians,Swedes,Brits ,Tunisians,Germans, Iranians, Lebanese, but definitely arabs. My lebanese and syrian friends has taught me some arabic. Its actually rather interesting.
  6. I actually ordered one of these in april last year. Then the public health department here ruled masks out full stop. I never got to use it. You might as well stick to the usual types of masks. https://www.healthline.com/health-news/certain-type-n95-mask-harm-covid19-spread A Certain Type of N95 Mask May Do More Harm Than Good In fact, you may unknowingly be wearing one that does more harm than good when it comes to preventing the spread of COVID-19. That was the warning the San Francisco Department of Public Health sent via Twitter last week. It said, in part, “the ones with the valves or openings on the front are NOT safe, and may actually propel your germs further.”

Patrick Moster was heard telling his rider Nikias Arndt: “Get the camel drivers! Get the camel drivers! Come on!” as he tried to catch rivals from Algeria and Eritrea.

Where’s this? Here in northern Europe it’s already being planned. Had 2 Pfizer in the spring as well. Them 6 months are soon up.
  11. Its same everywhere . Planes from Sweden are full to holidays destinations all over Europe. Most newly infected are 20-30 year olds bringing the delta back home, and this group is not rushing to get vaccinated. Fall could be interesting.
  12. You wish this is some kind of sick joke, but it isn't. In crisis like this the traits of a third world country become so evident. Sad. Thailand sends COVID-19 patients to hometowns by train https://www.yahoo.com/news/thailand-sends-covid-19-patients-085957450.html BANGKOK (AP) — Authorities in Thailand began transporting some people who tested positive for the coronavirus from Bangkok to their hometowns on Tuesday for isolation and treatment to alleviate the burden on the capital’s overwhelmed medical system. A train carrying more than 100 patients and medical workers in full protective gear left the city for the northeast. It will drop patients off in seven provinces, where they will be met by health officers and taken to hospitals. Medical authorities in Bangkok said Monday that all ICU beds for COVID-19 patients at public hospitals were full and that some of the sick were being treated in emergency rooms. Officials said they have asked army medics to help out at civilian hospitals. “These are patients from Bangkok who haven’t received treatment in hospitals. We want to bring them to doctors in their hometowns. And the traveling process is controlled all through the journey,” said Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, who was on hand to watch the operation. “We will continue this service until no COVID-19 patients who cannot get beds in Bangkok are left,” he said.

Here we go. Wonder if he had praised Pfizer vaccine ( which is supposedly the most efficient against Delta) if that was what he got. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/piers-morgan-tests-positive-covid-19-153313039.html Piers Morgan has shared he recently tested positive for COVID-19 and believes he caught the Delta variant at London's Wembley Stadium during the Euros final earlier this month. The 56-year-old journalist, who has received both doses of the Astra-Zeneca vaccine, had a ticket to the England vs. Italy game that saw a number of fans break into the stadium to watch the match. "My confidence that the event would be 'COVID-safe,' had disintegrated," Morgan shares in Mail On Sunday. "It was turning into an unregulated free-for-all." The former Good Morning Britain host said he began to feel ill two days after England's defeat and took a lateral flow test, which was positive. A follow-up PCR test then also returned a positive result. He writes his symptoms included fever, cold sweats, coughing, and "alarming" chest pains, although they have now faded. "This is definitely the roughest I've felt from any illness in my adult life, BUT, as I slowly come out the other side, coughing and spluttering, I'm still here — unlike so many millions around the world who've lost their lives to COVID in this pandemic," he adds. Morgan credits his survival to being vaccinated. "For that, I owe a heartfelt debt of thanks to the brilliant scientists up in Oxford who created the Astra-Zeneca vaccine with such astonishing speed," he writes.

Finally. https://www.yahoo.com/news/thailand-join-covax-acknowledging-low-154812357.html Thailand to join COVAX, acknowledging low vaccine supply BANGKOK (AP) — The head of Thailand’s National Vaccine Institute apologized Wednesday for the country's slow and inadequate rollout of coronavirus vaccines, promising it will join the U.N.-backed COVAX program to receive supplies from its pool of donated vaccines next year. Thailand is battling a punishing coronavirus surge that is pushing new cases and deaths to record highs nearly every day. There is fear that the numbers will get much worse because the government failed to secure significant vaccine supplies in advance of the onslaught.

Astra Mulls Vaccine Imports to Southeast Asia as Thai Supply Hit https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/astra-mulls-vaccine-imports-southeast-063606540.html AstraZeneca Plc is planning to import Covid-19 vaccines to Southeast Asia as its only manufacturing facility in the region struggles to ramp up output to meet demand from countries hit hard by the delta variant. The Anglo-Swedish drugmaker is scouring more than 20 supply chains in its global manufacturing network to find additional vaccines for Southeast Asia, including Thailand, James Teague, managing director for AstraZeneca Thailand, said in an open letter Saturday. The company “will leave no stone unturned” in manufacturing vaccines as fast as possible, he said. “A global supply crunch for Covid-19 vaccines and shortages of the materials and components required to produce the vaccine, make it difficult to provide certainty today, but we are hopeful of importing additional doses in the months ahead,” Teague said. AstraZeneca’s inability to scale up production has contributed to the slow vaccination rate in countries including Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam, which are in line to receive shots made by its Thai partner Siam Bioscience Plc. a company linked to the Thai monarchy, with a target to export two-thirds of the output to countries in Southeast Asia.

Yeah, I saw a few clips from it. Looks very nice indeed. I didn't watch the livestream gig though, and haven't found it (for free) online. I can't believe they let people smoke and drink so close to him, and... NO MASKS!!!
