I have stayed here plenty of times in the past, but have since found much better value in town for my baht. Issues that I have personally experienced have been roaches, charge of VAT, joiner fee of 500 baht after the 2nd girl if she isn't from their club (Kitten|Obsessions), smell of animals, hassle over tips, badgering girls wanting a drink, over priced LD drinks|drinks, and padding of check bin at times. Other than that this place is great! Someone mentioned the pet collection "aka. the zoo" may be much smaller these days, but the roaches are still an issue, not only in the rooms, but also in the club restrooms. Next time I venture in the toilets, if I can brave it, I will be sure to take a picture and share it. There are some BMs who are more like ambassadors or PR people for this place, but if you read posts on some of the busier forums you will see that a lot of the feedback, but not all, from the BMs is less than desirable. -Swedeman007

pdogg, I have heard many overstay horror stories over the years and none of which had a good "happy ending", pun intended. I have heard that an overstay by a couple days or so is not a big deal, as long as it is addressed at the airport. On the other hand, if you are caught by the BIB, then the situation can become much worse. Now all of a sudden one may be looking at much larger fines (bribes) and possible jail time. I would never advocate overstaying, and getting an extension to your visa isn't that hard to do as you know. Following the rules in Thailand is always the best rule of thumb. Regarding your post, seems a bit harsh to get wacked with the cane for a simple overstay. That has got to hurt quite a bit I am sure.
