It certainly was a fantastic event for sure. Just to have such a big occasion and not take place in a bar.

As mentioned in another thread, the ladyboy bar volleyball competition took place in 2009, October 11 I think was the date. We were blessed with the weather, as although it was the end of the wet season, the days leading up to it had witnessed some serious rainfall. Taking part were: Family Bar, Naklua Stringfellows La Bamba Lucky Love Sallys Pooks Along with the competing teams there was a great turn out of BMs for this wonderful occasion.

Picture the scene. It is the year 2112 and it's the opening day of the transsexual Olympics, being held this year in Tehran. :rolleyes: During the opening ceremony, Miss Transexaul World, this year's title holder is from North Korea, is making the opening speech. During the speech she mentions the origins of the idea of this wonderful event and thanks those who started it all off, over 100 years previous with a simple volleyball competition on Jomtiem beach in 2009. With that a banner unfolds from the roof....a portrait of Rossco, to resounding applause. :P The first event would no doubt be the pole vault.

It may have been her old number. She got a new one earlier last year, when she met her Thai boyfriend, and was very selective about who got it. I met her when she was opening her now defunct bar, she gave it to me, but said not to give it to anyone. Makes no difference now, as my Thai sim card is in Los, but I think finding her current mobile will prove difficult to achieve as I reckon not many have it.

Here are some photos of the beach and environs, with the tide out. The tourist base is mostly northern European, many Scandinavians. So far the Russians etc have not discovered this spot.

She was one of the mentioned LBs I planned to ask when I see her online next. To be honest PD your suggestions are probably as good as any local LB might suggest. :D

Yes that's part of the main idea that I was trying to convey in the opening post, maybe it was not clearly stated. But it is quite a delicious thought, as you say, that we will live on as ground breaking frontiersmen of a new sexual awakening, one that will hopefully be accepted as more mainstream in the decades ahead. Now we just need to establish who the celebrity ladyboy fan is, err that's another theory, sorry. :rolleyes:

Like you Lefty, I have friends and LBs in my friends list on FB, not a problem to me. Also I can control who sees those photos of me there, and anyway there is nothing incriminating. Posting my face on a public ladyboy forum is a different thing altogether. You just don't know what minds are gong to try to use it to cause problems. Back to the subject of how this scene will be in future years. Well the forums are in a way the Dead Sea Scrolls for future LB admirers. The last decade has seen so much information posted online about all aspects of this lifestyle. This has never happened before, and thus what we are doing here is indeed pioneering work, laying the foundations of an online library/resource centre that will grow over the coming decades. Food for thought indeed.

Friedfrunk might be able to help out when he reads this thread. I know a couple of LBs up there, will ask them when I see them online. Hopefully in next 24 hours if time is not tight.

While I was chatting to a friend in Pattaya last year he said something interesting. He said "you know in a 100 years from now, this whole scene will be so accepted, and guys like us will be looked on as pioneers and maybe evening studied in university" A bit fanciful regarding the university part of course, but it got me thinking, how will this scene develop in the coming years. No doubt it is becoming more popular, look at the growth in LB sites and forums catering to our tastes in the last few years. More guys are becoming aware of a side of their sexuality they perhaps had not considered before or had urges and now realise they are not the only ones. Personally I think in Thailand and other countries in the region it will continue to mushroom with more of us becoming comfortable about being seen in public with LBs. Regarding the rest of the world, who knows. Personally I will continue to keep my face blurred, don't want my grandchildren spitting out their coffee as they research their thesis and stumble across some old photos in the college archives. :D

Cheers gents. HH is not really a cheap option, more regular prices I would say, beers are anything from 65 to 80 baht in the bars. Bar fines are probably about 300 to 400, haven't paid one in about 4 years now but guess that would be the going rate. Not that I avoid paying them, it's just usually I pick up one of the girls when they are freelancing later on in the night up in the Karaoke bar area. This area is where the action moves to after the bars and the Hilton dicso have closed. It is a small bar complex area, with karaoke bars, dance bars and drinking and food indoors and outdoors. Some of the bars stay open till dawn. It's only a 2 minute walk from the main bar area. Add about 20 baht to the drinks prices mentioned for this area. The entrance to this area is at the Singha sign. Most of the girls there work in the bar sois, and so no BF is needed as they are freelancing by now. Usually a few LBs floating around. On the right in the photo you can see the yellow Bank of Ayudhya, and it is here that a few freelance Lbs hang out during the night.

I think this is Lilly from Famous bar when she worked in Caddy Shack last Xmas time on her migration from Patong to Phuket. Apparently some of the local LBs were not too pleased with her and her friends moving in on their patch and they had to leave town, and thus she is in Pattaya now.

The area for bar action is quite small as I mentioned before. A block of 4 sois with a few adjacent smaller sois. Takes about 10 mins or less to stroll around. Caddy Shack is usually the main LB bar in town, but nothing on the scale of the bars in Patts. There is a cabaret called Blue Angel, small and touristy. This is 2 min walk between both bars, that's how small the bar area is. There are other bars around the block which have a sprinkling of LBs, always fun spotting them. I usually stay in a guest house on the bar block, I have never heard of joiner fees in GHs there, not sure how it is if you stay in a resort hotel. The prices for the ladies are similar to Patts, 500 ST 1000 LT in most cases, especially for the LBs who can be more than grateful for custom. Here are some of the ladies who were there earlier in the year. Nui, Starfish bar Jessica, some bar on Bintabat(the "main" bar soi} Sara, Red bar San, Caddy Shack Rai and Emmy splashing about
