  3. Some of the smaller Thai owned Soi 11 bars are open - at least behind the curtain: Beers 100 b, mixers 150 b The big farang owned nightclubs on Soi 11 (Insanity, Levels, Sugar...) not open. Pic and info from social media.
  4. The Pattaya News reports about police raids in Chonburi province: https://thepattayanews.com/2021/12/05/four-bar-managers-arrested-in-bang-saen-alcohol-sale-raids-police-warn-saen-suk-is-not-a-blue-zone/ Published 5 December 2021, 15:08 Thai media is also reporting about the police raids and arrests in Chonburi province. Matichon for example writes today that the BiB arrested the owner of a pub called Sewana on Soi Jarin in Saensuk that opened illegally. Pubs and bars are still not allowed to open. They had used paper cups to disguise that they were serving alcohol. Choburi Province still does not allow pubs to open they emphasize: https://www.matichon.co.th/region/news_3074299 Published December 6, 2021 - 8:50 a.m. Channel 7 today also reports about the illegal bar openings in Chonburi. They write there were farang drinking alcohol in a pub: The BiB found soda bottles and paper cups that were used for serving liquor. 5. They will probably treat you differently depending on whether you're a 95 year old guy grasping for air and asking for oxygen or if you're a 20 year old healthy lad, with booster shot and all that and showing zero symptoms... You should also contact your health insurance provider and tell them you urgently need a transgender nurse to take care of you during your 14 day quarantine in Thailand for a fast recovery... Seriously: The visa issue I think is important. Not so much for your return trip to the UK perhaps, but for your eventual return to LOS later this year or whenever. Even if the British embassy perhaps cannot help you directly, they should be able to tell you, the taxpayer who pays for their jobs, what to do to get it extended... I'm sure that everything will work out fine for you. Don't worry toooo much...
  6. Huh??? What is that? King's Castle in Patpong has turned on its neon lights for the first time in a very long time tonight 5 December 21: Pic source: Twitter Edit: the pic above shows King's Castle 1 (GG) not King's Castle (LB+GG before the pandemic). Anyway: across the street from KC 1, where tip-top restaurant used to be, there's now a pool hall apparently with KC 1 girls working there ... Info from social media.
  7. "Positive test results If your test result is positive, you must not travel. You must follow local rules and guidance for positive coronavirus cases. If the result is inconclusive, you must take another test. British nationals who need consular assistance should contact the nearest consulate, embassy or high commission." https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-testing-for-people-travelling-to-england In addition to contacting the British embassy in Bangkok, it would probably be wise to contact a doctor. He/she will tell you if you can self-isolate in your condo or if you have to go to a hospital. This will probably be decided on a case-by-case basis: https://www.lumahealth.com/guides/thailand/covid-19-guide/#pp-toc__heading-anchor-2
  8. According to the UK government: "Before you travel to England you must: book and pay for a COVID-19 PCR test – to be taken after you arrive in England" https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-to-england-from-another-country-during-coronavirus-covid-19

  11. The Thaiger writes today: "If what’s happened in Phuket in recent months, is any indication, then there will be a level of ‘accommodation’ provided by officials who understand that some tourists are wanting a normalisation of Thailand’s nightlife before going to the effort of booking expensive flights and going through the Thailand Pass process. The Thaiger has reached out to Bryan Flowers from the Night Wish Group who has been one of Pattaya’s major protagonists to get the bar scene open again. We will report on his responses in the next few days." https://thethaiger.com/hot-news/tourism/chon-buri-and-pattaya-bar-scene-get-good-news-but-at-what-cost I hate these third-party cookies... We'll see how the third-party cookie sundown in 2023 will affect their business.... Anyways: I think the Thaiger is spot on: until the end of the main tourist season (mid-March?) I think there'll be a degree of freedom that we should use... Tree Town tonight 4 December 21: Source: Twitter
  12. Pattaya bar owners happy: More and more establishments such as restaurants, cafes, grilled pork places etc are gradually opening up. Ms. Amittra Klaidaeng, a restaurant operator, revealed that she was very satisfied with the order because most restaurants sell food to pair with alcoholic beverages. When it's okay to drink alcoholic beverages in a restaurant, more customers will come resulting in more sales and profits. After being closed for several months causing losses and an increase in liabilities, she believes that after this order establishments will recover faster. Mr. Wasan Sanguangkham, the boss of a cafe, revealed that both SHA Plus and Covid Free Setting rules are being followed by the operators and that they will fully cooperate with the provincial and national authorities. Customers and tourists are cooperating very well, he said, including wearing masks, hand washing, social distancing, not more than 5 musicians playing and so on. Translated from Thai into English using Google Translate so please bear with me... Source: https://www.matichon.co.th/news-monitor/news_3071662 Published December 4, 2021 - 11:48 a.m. In Chiang Mai however, only restaurants in five selected districts are allowed to sell alcohol, starting December 6th: https://www.bangkokbiznews.com/news/975678 Published 04 Dec. 2021 9:28 a.m.
  13. BiB inspecting Nana Plaza and its newest "Mexican restaurant": Isn't the lady in the pinkish-red dress Hillary, owner of the various Hillary bars on Soi 4 and Soi 11? BiB doing their round, inspecting the open air bar in front of Obsession ladyboy bar and London Calling, which used to be a post-op ladyboy bar: More of Lumpini police department inspecting Nana Plaza and handing out licenses: What did they say when the bars could open?
  14. Phuket last night: Meanwhile on Soi Cowboy Bangkok: and Soi LK metro Pattaya: or Patpong Bangkok: Spot the difference... Pic source: Twitter

  16. Straps bar, tonight 3 December 2021: The bar sign is still there, but otherwise it looks abandoned to me... Pic source: Twitter
  17. Sukhumvit Soi 23 is famous for it's "special massage" places. They primarily cater to Asian, particularly Japanese, guests. But speaking from my own experience, it's no problem getting a rub'n'tug in one of these places... Some of the massage parlors in this part of lower Sukhumvit are even farang owned - or rather owned by the missus' of the farang... Since these types of massage parlors aren't yet allowed to open (3 Dec 21), they had to come up with some interesting ideas. Pink Soda 23: for example looks more like a bistro or a sports lounge with big screens hanging on the walls than a typical massage parlor for the area: Pic source: Twitter Unfortunately I'm not aware of any ladyboy massage in this Soi let alone a ladyboy massage that looks that nice :-(
  18. Breaking news: Pattaya Booze ban lifted Drinking alcohol allowed from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. - 11 p.m. Venues must have a sanitary safety standards certificate such as SHA. Entertainment venues, pubs, bars, karaoke, massage parlors remain closed. Shops that sell alcoholic beverages must strictly comply with COVID-19 prevention measures. https://www.khaosod.co.th/covid-19/news_6765458 Published 3 Dec 2021 5:51 p.m.
  19. Pattaya Walking Street demonstration today: https://fb.watch/9FEjeI8fQ0/ https://www.matichon.co.th/economy/news_3070867 "Very good news is coming out. Will wait for Aj to announce the Pattaya News. It is clear, but needs to be clarified exactly." writes: https://www.facebook.com/BryaninBangkok Happy ending finally for Pattaya (pun intended)?
  20. Nana Plaza tonight, December 2nd: L-Pop is SHA certified: Pic source: Twitter
  21. That's interesting! I didn't know that. That explains a lot. Thank you!
  22. TiT... The governor of Bangkok, Pol. Gen. Asawin, today even explicitly recommends pubs and bars and karaoke clubs to become restaurants: https://www.topnews.co.th/news/176092 Published : 02/12/2021 17:21 Why isn't the Chonburi governor doing the same? #BangkokwinswithAsawin Inspection of KSR bars: They've now inspected 10,161 out of 15,840 establishments in Bangkok. 9,380 establishments in Bangkok have passed the SHA / SHA plus inspection. Alcohol was consumed in 172 non-SHA-compliant establishments in all 50 districts of Bangkok. https://www.prbangkok.com/th/news/detail/2/7469
  23. The PM was asked today about the prospects of reopening bars sooner. Seems he's moved away from any thoughts of relaxing the rules he might have had one or two weeks ago: https://www.brighttv.co.th/news/politics/pm-bar-postpone-bar-open https://www.khaosod.co.th/politics/news_6762372 Published 2 Dec 2021 11:31 a.m. Naewna says, the PM wants to wait another month before deciding on the reopening of bars: https://naewna.com/politic/619593 Published Thursday, December 2, 2021, 11.41 a.m. The Post Today writes that the PM is apologetic about postponing the reopening of bars but that he listened to health officials: https://www.posttoday.com/politic/news/669665 Published 02 Dec 2021 12:10
  24. The scene is currently constantly changing. It's been only one day now that "entertainment restaurants" are officially allowed to serve alcohol until 11 p.m. in Bangkok. It's therefore difficult to come up with an up-to-date "ladyboy restaurant" list. If you're looking for ladyboys in a classic bar setting, I would have a look at the following three, in my opinion obvious, options: Why Not? Bar Sukhumvit Soi 4: facebook.com/Whynotbangkok/ Chaos 9 Sukhumvit Soi 4: facebook.com/Chaos9BKK Check-in Bar (CIB) Sukhumvit Soi 10: facebook.com/Check-In-Bar-401617183283119/ All three are pure play ladyboy bars. All three I think have short time rooms on their premises. CIB is SHA certified, I don't know about the other two and I also don't know their current BF prices. If I were looking for p4p ladyboys in a classic bar setting, I would check out the three above mentioned places first. There are, t.m.k. - currently - no pure play ladyboy bars open in the three main red light zones for tourists, i.e. Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy, and Patpong. I don't think any of the main ladyboy show bars, such as Calypso, are open yet. Some smaller transgender show bars, including TV/CD bars, might be open however. Stranger Bar in Bangkok's Silom area for example opened yesterday: facebook.com/TheStrangerBar/ In Soi Cowboy, there are two pure play ladyboy bars: Cockatoo: www.facebook.com/CockatooLadyboyBar/ and Shadow: facebook.com/shadowladyboybarbangkok/ The Facebook pages of both bars are still online, which is hopefully a good sign. But both bars are not open yet. Other areas of interest in Bangkok are Sukhumvit Soi 7 and Sukhumvit Soi 7/1. In both alleys you should be able to find p4p ladyboys. A main freelancer hotspot in Bangkok is in front of the Ruamchit Hotel on the main Sukhumvit Rd. between Soi 13 and Soi 25. And of course you'll also find freelancers (lb and GG) on Soi Nana (Sukhumvit Soi 4). On Sukhumvit Soi 8, ladyboy freelancers were recently spotted in Random Bar. A good site for finding ladyboy freelancers is Thai Friendly: https://www.thaifriendly.com/?ai=1364
