  1. Ummm.......errrrr.......thank you for pointing that out PD! The number of available condos is slowly being whittled away at present, but with 12 month contracts and 2 month deposits I can't just settle for any old tosh!
  2. I'll second that - really need to get my butt into gear and find a condo before the month's end but rain has stopped play.
  3. Would a sex worker from Soi Chaiyaphun be called puhntang? I'll get me coat (again).
  4. I also ruined my new white t-shirt riding home due to that filthy road water spraying up the back of me. Think I might have to refit the hugger if this is starting to be a thing again.
  5. Behind TukCom............is nowhere safe from the rains?
  6. Many people seem to wear them slung across the shoulder like a bandolier - definitely looks a lot more trendy Might have to invest in one myself, then at least I can carry my reading glasses around!
  7. An 'old hands' trick is to put a thick rubber band around the wallet - makes it harder to remove without you noticing.
  8. Cut out the pockets and get a free feel.
  9. Finally............ the mystery becomes clear! I prefer LBR simply because nobody jumps down your throat when you post something that doesn't jive with another posters view, or narrative. I used to be very active in the old Secrets forum (back in the noughties)but these days the only other forum I post in is PattayaTalk which is on a similar level to here.
  10. She will no doubt be taking down your particulars.
  11. It used to be, some years ago, that every time the crocodile farm got seriously flooded a few of it's inhabitants would escape into the locale. I don't think anyone got eaten .
  12. Quick installation guide (for Windows): https://gitlab.com/magnolia1234/bypass-paywalls-chrome-clean/-/archive/master/bypass-paywalls-chrome-clean-master.zip 1. Go into Chrome settings and then into the Extension page. Enable 'developer options' at the top right. 2. Download the zip file from the link I gave and then extract it. (right click then 'extract all' from the context menu). 3. Go back to the Extensions page and select the 'load unpacked' button. 4. Then browse to where your folder is, 2x click to open it, select the folder inside it and wait a few seconds for it to load. 5. Get browsing!
  13. This extension can be quite handy for some of us if we don't fancy coughing up for the occasional article: https://gitlab.com/magnolia1234/bypass-paywalls-chrome-clean I've got it on both my browsers, though on Chrome it's a bit more involved on updating itself.
  14. I've only been back here for 2 months now, and already I'm questioning the validity of my decision to do so as it certainly does seem like they're trying to kill the goose that lays the golden egg. For example, a week ago I enquired about longstay in an apartment - 6500 per month apparently. Went back yesterday just to confirm and the price has risen to 9500 (along with electric@ B10 per unit and water@ B500 a month).
  15. Good ol' Arthur - I'm sure he'd turn in his grave if he knew he was an avatar on LBR!
  16. Clue(less)do: It was the excavator............in soi 15..............with the copper wiring. Have to bury them underground now.
  17. TiT - This is Thailand. This has long been the foreigners lament! We all used to say that if it wasn't for their inefficiency then we wouldn't be able to afford to live here. Unfortunately, pricing has risen and nothing has really changed. But.........but.........we're guests in their country I hear you cry! Sure, but is this really how you treat your guests?
  18. I had to get a residence certificate as I was buying a bike. Went down with a friend on the Monday and were told too busy - come back tomorrow. B40 for parking down the shitter. Rolled in at 8:15 the next morning and got the necessary photocopies from the assisting shop there - B300. Queued up for 30 mins at stall 9 only to then be re-directed to stall 10. With 66 people in front we decided to get some brekkie from that on-site cafe whilst waiting so that was another B150. Went back in with minutes to spare only to be directed back to stall 9 again. A shorter wait with yet more photocopies and a further B300 bung for 'admin'. OK, come back after 1pm was her response. Back again later to collect the finished product and I'd finally got it sorted - but what a massive palava! The real bummer was I'd considered getting Maneerat to do it (B500) as they'd already sorted out my ret. visa, but my friend reckoned it was unnecessary as he could do it easily enough. We live and learn!
  19. First thing I did when I got back was to take a shower and wash that filthy water off before I copped an infection.
  20. As always, with immaculate timing, I decided to try out a new eatery on Buakhao 13 just as the Heavens decided to open. As you can see, the new drainage projects are going swimmingly well. PXL_20221009_082015086.mp4
  21. The biggest problem I'm now finding is that they are getting busy to the point of having nowhere to sit when you get there - and we're not even in high season yet. This is mostly at peak times to be fair, and I can't comment on the Jomtien branch just yet.
  22. Soi Buakhao...........such a classy act!
  23. The one on the left said "You can fuck me like a dog". I thought, whoa, now that's some pedigree, chum! You won't winalot of friends with that attitude. I'll get me coat.
  24. I came in on 24/9 but wasn't asked for either proof of accommodation or an onward flight. However, I guess YMMV if the IO thinks you look a bit dodgy.
  25. I haven't thoroughly investigated every bar there (yet) but off the top of my head they would be Pom Blue Sky (I'm assuming they mean Mr Blue Sky), Golden Moon Bar, Nonnoi Bar, Matador Bar and Long Huang (Wang?) 35 Bar. Watch this space..........
