pdogg
Seems that Junie Browning got into a big scuffle at a Karon bar and then the brawling continued at Patong Hospital. He vanished from the hospital and the manhunt is on. Hear that Phuket Airport and the closest border crossing is being monitored. Here's info about Khun Junie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junie_Browning Quote Link to comment
Jimslim
Mixed martial arts is for old ladies . He wouldn't last a minute against the great fighters of yesteryear like Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks not to mention the fearsome Kendo Nagasaki who never took off his mask . Quote Link to comment

Luung
What about Catweasel and Mick McManus. Two athletes od the finest pedigree. You'd be surprised Ciobha, there's a 'real' wrestling all comers prize fight championship held once a year in Birmingham... Anyway, during the mid 70's Mick McManuns just kept winning the thing year after year until this Indian started flying over & dismantling everyone! And believe me there's some tough fuckers go in for this evet. it is very much for real, if you don't 'tap up' you're going to hospital with serious damage. I come from the amateur wrestling world where we find the pros more embarrassing than anyone else, although I can still laugh at them & the pantomime spectacle, but it's the old ladies that try to get in the ring & hit them with their umbrellas that I love. Overall they're lovers not fighters, but McManus was 'for real', unlike his contemporaries mentioned here. Just a little unknown fact to throw in Anyone remember Adrian Street, with the long blond hair & the androgynous persona. Quote Link to comment

Yes Lung,i do actually-whatever happened to him? And Kent Walton who always did the commentary on the TV-He became a pornographer if i remember correctly....I never knew Mick McManus was for real-i thought they were all phonies....by the way Lung-thats 1 more reason to avoid Birmingham!
