daytime in Vientianne: the best is to meet your ladyboy from last night (hopefully she has a motorbike) and let her drive you around, sightseeing ca be done in one day.

barscene is rather poor, many ladyboys can be found outside around Samlo bar

ladyboyfriendly hotel ? maybe situation has changed in the last 2 years, was difficult, otherwise ladyboys know st hotels but poor atmosphere and receptionist tries to cheat you

does not sound too good  mate , was looking to a visa run either Vientiane or angeles city ,wanted to stay five or six

days at either of these places .

not sure Vientiane worth it unless your in udon thanni , hear lot of bad reports about angeles city , as well as airline

problems getting to clark , e.g. Cebu service finished tiger unreliable .

so it looks like phnom penh for me have been there before so not a problem , and has got a pretty good ladyboy

scene although smaller than anything in Thailand .

If you went to the Philippines would you not have to go to Manila to get a visa? Guess there could be a visa service that will do it but not sure. In the past PAL had some pretty good fares for stays of a week or less BKK-MNL. It's about two hours up to AC by car *IF YOU AVOID FRIDAY AFTERNOON*. Traffic is bad in Manila but horrible on Friday afternoon.
