thaibound Posted November 19, 2012 Share Posted November 19, 2012 hey randi, i'm "passing through" manila now on my way to cebu. well, by 'passing through' i mean that my flight landed here and i decided to hang a few days before moving on. that was two weeks ago. my own 'network' of "must-do"'s grows faster than i can check them off--and i haven't seen *any* of your girls. i confess, my first pass-through of manila left me not wanting to visit again but i decided to return to see just one old favorite. and the next thing i know--i'm in the quicksand of plenty. the change of scenery from the cesspool in which i first landed in ermita/malate, to the modernesque westworld of ladyboy ass available in makati city has done wonders for my image of 'manila'. bottom line, if you don't need tits on a ladyboy, this place will blow your mind. and if you do, just buy her some. one thing i need some corroboration on--almost *every* ladyboy i've met swears to me that i'm one of the first 2 or 3 "foreign man" they have ever met (something no self-respecting lb i've ever met anywhere in pattaya/bangkok/phuket would dare say with a straight face). i'm upfront about my 'passing through', 'only for fun', 'no LTR', etc, so there seems to be no ulterior motive to deceive and the revelation is so ridiculously universal, that i've begun to believe. i must add at this point that -- in total contrast to my life in thailand-- i have not set foot in a single bar in manila. i have *only* met ladyboys from dating sites and most of them must make an hour+ ride in from 'the province' to see me -- which in manila is about 15km, btw. so my uneducated surmise is that that 15km/hour brings the untapped (ahem) resources of the 3rd world straight to your 1st world doorstep. btw, this thread is in the protected "lounge" section, free of fuckwits, right? i mean, we don't want word about the abundance of lb pulchritude waiting impatiently on pinalove to get out to the wrong type of characters do we? i mean, right? so maybe i'll come back in februrary and see you then. of course, to "come back" i will have had to have left in the first place.... ( some of them started already to stalk me on skype and emails ) As i am coming out from a disastrous relationship with a brazilan lb in italy....not really into something serious.... Say repeatedly "I am only looking for fun. I am not looking for anything serious. I may not be able to come back to the Philippines ever again, so you should just plan on us meeting this time". They may accuse you of being a sex tourist with attitude, but you can simply pass on that one...there are many others as you can see. And when you meet them give them what is on your heart for taxi fare...I think most of the board members offer between 1000 and 2000 pesos to a girl who stays the night. But only give it after you tell her she has to leave, since you have a meeting in the morning. Also, although I have violated this rule, don't give out your facebook information, or use your real email address with ladyboys. I have violated this rule with a few high, high profile successful college degreed/master degreed ladyboys who are employed in major BPO's as managers, and a couple of superstar high end escorts who are pageant winners. But these types won't harrass you because they have real lives themselves. You can have a complete monger profile, by setting up a new yahoo email address (hornybastard56@yahoo.com for example), and then using this address for yahoo messenger, the dating sites, and even an alternative facebook profile.That is the safest way to manage them I think... But I'm relatively new, and not a pro at this so I am sure others will chime in...but yes...THEY ALL say they want a relationship, so the burden is on you to set the expectation level for friendship and fun... It kills my curiosity! and i have just 6 days left! I hear that sasquatch! There is a kind of perceived wisdom that the only way to do the Philippines is to set up a network of contacts in advance. For sure it doesn't do any harm and certainly stealth, randiuno and thaibound would support that view - it clearly works well. However, as I've said before, if you are not on a mission to secure 100% certainties then you can just go with the flow. I've always had success hooking up with LB's in Cebu with absolutely no advance planning. This was with mixed results to be honest but is part of the fun of looking around. On a Thursday, Friday and Saturday night the area around Mango Sq and J Ave disco in particular is a shoe-in for LB's. You should also wander over to Pump 2 at the Convention Centre sometime from 01.00am onwards. Earlier nights in the week are less promising - it's quiet out there - so you might then want to look at alternative strategies. Wost case scenario - jump onto Date In Asia, there are a host of Cebu based LB's hanging out there every day. On all the PI dating sites you will see phrases such as 'looking for love', 'love me for who I am', 'God-fearing', etc etc. Don't wish to be overly cynical but these are generally to create the impression that they are charming girls with the long stretch and monogamy firmly in mind. Truth usually is that once you have stressed you are just here on holiday and for a good time (see randi's comments above) the desire for long term romance quickly gets dropped in favour of the short term fun / renumeration option. And who can blame them? Sound advice above as well on e.mail addresses, phone numbers etc. Pick up a SIM card on arrival and use that number exclusively for the LB's. Once they have you they are likely to bombard you with SMS messages day and night - my favourite being 'have you had your lunch / dinner yet?' which must be a default setting on the various cellphones.
