I went to Phillies again last night; it rained all day and the LBs were seeking shelter under the awning that is parallel to Fields Ave. It was like walking a gauntlet, getting smiles, the stink eye and "Why you no take me?" comments. Face sure is a big deal in Thailand...

There are several busses from Swampy to different areas of BKK. I like to catch the high speed rail into BKK, but it only connects with the BTS at certain stops, which might not be convenient. My back up plan is to catch a taxi departing arrivals; the drivers are usually happy to get paid to go back to BKK and will agree to turn on the meter.
